This store is always understaffed, during the busiest times, only 2 checkout lanes are open. I refuse to use self checkout. I've finally had enough, I'll quit shopping there.Another reason I will quit shopping there, the deli.The deli staff are rude, ignore you, and seem to be pissed off to have to serve you. I used to think maybe they were busy or having a bad day, but it's every damn time! To hell with Safeway Cottage Grove!

I have tried multiple times to get good fruit and veggies and everything is semi already bad, red onions for example your whole display of red onions were squishy and bad... is it so hard to ask for good veggies? I have to travel all the way to the Springfield Fredmeyers to get beautiful yummy veggies but sometimes I can't afford the gas to go. Do better please

So my man went to safeway to get one of their premade sandwiches. And he came home with a spicy Italian that has rotten meat on it along with nasty overly wilted lettuce. The wrapper says it was made only 2 days ago and tomorrow the 5th is its last sell by date. DON'T BUY SAFEWAY SANDWICHES!!

Worst experience with a bakery I've ever had. We needed a regular sized cake for our 3 year old daughter's birthday. We ended up paying $71.00 for a full sized sheet cake upon pickup, because the employee couldn't tell us anything about the prices or the sizes of the cakes and how many people each one feeds, during the ordering process. Now it's too late to get it fixed as the party is today and we just got completely ripped off. Very upset with the customer service. For future reference for anyone wanting to use this bakery, just don't. And if you do, since they don't even know the sizes and prices of their own cakes, the full size is a full size sheet cake that feeds 71 people for $71.00. Why anyone would think someone would want that for a 3 year olds birthday party is beyond me. It's their job to know this information. Beyond disappointment and frustrated and do not recommend this bakery AT ALL for any event.

The fuel station is not open till 12 am as posted on Web site? I was there at 950 pm and they might as well been closed. The attendant said that they are not taking cash. I ask why he says they already counted the till. Not only did they miss out on a 120 in fuel dollars 300 on grocery as well. Same deal with the bottle return room. The law says they must be open same hours as store and if the machine breaks down they must hand count.they can take the deposit but make it hard to get it back

Well, since I was visiting the deli I'll just review that. Bad deli day. We won't be coming by here for food again. Their "chow mein" was spaghetti noodles with very few veggies tossed in, tasted like no sauce... VERY dry. The wait was long and the sandwich side was busy making what seemed like a big order so said I couldn't order. Very disappointing visit.

Update i add the birthday for my app and i get told i have to wait till April for my birthday treat my birthday is March 26th like don't offer it unless you can give it in the month of the birthday it makes the company look more like a ignorant team that can't get a app correctly updated but hey ill wait till april look at the PicUpdate 5/8/22 night manager has no clue on what his store times and policies are very ignorant in the way of how he handled it crying out scamdemic as the reason they said the sandwich department didn't have anyone to make me a sandwich very childishWas told it closed at 4 however everything in the area was not wrapped up and put away nothing was cleared and put away and the service deli was still fully open with hit food out and 2 employees in that department.This store is trash I've had so many problems with this store its time to step up safewayYou just lost a customer forever.People in Cottage Grove need better places to shop.

Great meat and produce. Was not so pleased with the first grocery pick up order I did. My order was not done on time and I had a hard time figuring out how to check in when I arrived there.Bakery lady was very kind today and gave my granddaughter a cookie that she loved !

Clean parking lot complete with a gas station available at this location. Very clean and organized grocery store. Starbucks inside. Fresh products and produce. Always check for any ForU coupons and deals on their app before checking out. This location also has pick up, but I'm weary of using it anymore because the last 2 times I used it, my loaves of bread came smashed. Will be back!

Busy today, even though it was Thanksgiving! The layout was very familiar to my hometown Safeway (although the self checkout was on the opposite side).We went in looking for a quick lunch, but the hot deli was unfortunately closed down for the day, leaving only the cold food and the prepackaged stuff. Ended up picking up a salad which was alright, though the lettuce was slightly browned on some edges.

I saw a syringe in the mens bathroom. It made me feel very uncomfortable. There’s so many diseases that can potentially be passed around. The staff needs to step it up. Also very rude staff at the customer service desk. They sit and gossip like high schoolers. You’ve lost a longtime member

Check out their fried chicken...the best! You actually get a full chicken breast and thigh. Unlike KFC and other chicken places that cut their meat in half to get more servings. I never get a back at Safeway either. They also have good produce and a large selection. I understand that Walmart is across town, but they don't have the quality that Safeway does.

Nasty deli and the bakery focuses on shelf life more then quality. Seems these store chains think the customer has no taste buds, or no money. Keep it cheap, who cares if the quality is good, thay all die at some point. Disgusting and shameful. Wake up cottage grove.

I love C.G. Safeway. The clerks are super friendly and helpful. I always take advantage of their sales, especially the digital sales!!! I LOVE saving money & getting up to 4X's the points makes it an even better shopping experience. Those extra points makes buying gas easier on the wallet. Love my points!!!

Do not get the Chinese buffet food. Holy mother of God! I ordered noodles for the kids and I had to dump them. They were a health hazard. They tasted like they dumped a whole bag of msg seasoning into the pot. Not salty, but just toxic and dangerously over seasoned! Just dangerous! We were doing a road trip and honestly, i didn't want to get my kids McDonald's. I SHOULD'VE! We were on the road by time I tasted them, didn't want to turn back.

Great staff here! Know most by name, shout out to James, Always working hard, dressed for success and never heard him complain. I Came in with my mind full and messed up my whole trip myself with self checkout. After already asking for his help we then returned to customer service and he took care of the problem as it was his instead of mine. We work so hard to be treated so well, thank you!!!

The gas station on 30 November 22 at 2:45 in the afternoon was down to 2 pumps with two associates the were extremely rude and not helpful. The last three times I have been in they have been down due to computer problems or lack of personnel. This appears to be becoming an on going issue and one more experience of this nature I will start taking my business else where.

I would give the store a no stars if I could. I ordered a Christmas turkey dinner. I told them I would pick it up before 1:00. Guess what, the store is closed on Christmas. No Christmas turkey dinner for all of us coming from out-of-town. Never again will I give this Safeway a dime of my money

As far as Safeways' go, this Cottage Grove grocery store is nice.Standard wide range of grocery items.Nice bakery, deli, floral, produce, and meat departments.Friendly and helpful staff.

Friday's are always fun days to go shopping. You can get some good deals. I have the safe way app and I like how I can clip my coupons and when I go and enter my phone number they are on there. Super helpful. It's expensive but glad it's here in Cottage Grove.

Everytime I come to this Safeways the deli is closing as early as 4 pm.Update 530 on Friday all asian food is gone or EXTREMELY old. Have to stop driving into town for this store
