Worst of the worst. Do not shop at this store. Prices are beyond ridiculous and staff thinks they own the world and are rude and disrespectful. I would drive to Portland to shop to avoid this place. I will be calling corporate and making sure they know the names of the people that should be fired and how badly this store is. Unbelievable, this store is the worst thrift store I've ever been too.I wouldn't step foot in this store if I were you. Thank God st.vincent de Paul is coming to cottage Grove..

*update 3/3/24* decided to do some thrifting with my family on this boring rainy day and ONCE AGAIN I had employees following us around, interrupting our conversations to constantly ask if we need a cart. We once again lost interest from the discomfort of being harassed and followed so we bought a few shirts and left.As much as I enjoy thrifting in our small town, Iam done shopping here. The prices are very high. I’ve seen stuff from the dollar store marked as 10$+ here. The manager is entitled and very rude. I typically shop here a few times a month with my family until last week when I was followed around the store by multiple employees who kept asking if I needed a cart, several different times. Me and my family felt so uncomfortable by it all we cut our shopping trip short and left after purchasing the couple items we had.Goodwill should think about getting new managers and someone else to price the items accordingly at this location.

I enjoy coming to my local Goodwill because of Maureen she is one of the hardest workers. She always welcoming me there with a great smile and great attitude never seen her upset or mad always professional always treating everybody with respect always picking up the slack and doing a great job there and treating me like I am coming at home maureen makes it really enjoyable to come every time that’s the reason why I enjoy coming back over and over again now also the manager. Shannon is also such a welcoming person always respectful, kind and polite. She is one of the good managers there really loves the items there. They have really good selection. They try their best picking the best good things for everybody if it wasn’t for these two staff members I don’t think I would go there again really enjoy both of their attitudes.

They refuse to accept returns. They won't give your money back. They will only let you re-donate. This is a rule created by them during covid. With a name like goodwill you would think it would impact their culture.relying on people like me to donate

The store was relatively well organized. The game and toys were well done. Most of the things I saw there were well priced. However there was a wood and metal wind chime, the wood of which was barely holding together. It was priced at $29. I laughed so hard I almost Peed myself. Don’t try to sell trash.

Worst goodwill. Rebekah the manager was extremely rude and antaganistic. She followed me and verbally attacked me for no reason. If anyone else experiences this please call corporate to complain. I will never shop here again.

In all my years I've never witnessed a $50 jacket at goodwill. I expected a lot more care towards customers "in terms of" understanding that people are not rich and will NOT pay amounts of that stature. Making a profit off of people in this way is concerning. I will not be shopping at this establishment any longer until there is new managment.

They have one rack of men's clothes and the rest women's clothing. The line had one cashier with 12 people waiting to checkout. This Goodwill is a joke for tax write off purposes not actually serving the community like other goodwill or St Vinnies. My opinion don't waste your time at the CG Goodwill just go to the next town over or St Vinnies best of luck to any future people.

Prices are getting crazy! A book they want $6.99 can be purchased online for $5.99. A Gourmia 6qt air fryer i just bought new at Costco for $59.99 they ask $69.99 for!!! Unless its on sale for 50% off or more its probably not much of a deal or worth your time to hunt for🤔

Limited selection with very high prices. I've noticed a trend in Goodwill lately with increasing prices. The Cottage Grove Goodwill is one of the highest priced stores I've been to. 20-$30 for an old boombox? $40 for a VCR? $15 flannels? These are retail store prices. Goodwill has sucked the fun out of thrifting, as they get all of their items for free it would be nice to get a deal when going to the store.

Extremely rude people who work here. As a company the does business on the free donations of people you should really educate your employees on how to be more courteous to people who are wanting to drop off donations even if it is a few min before closing rather than just bark out "We're closed! to someone who walks through your door. When I told them I only had donations and asked if they were still accepting the employee just barks "NO!". From now on I will just be taking my donations to shelters, SPCA and the VFW in Creswell. Places that deserve the donations and hire compassionate employees. Shame on you Goodwill.

My mom took some things in to donate and the guy there was rude. They wouldn't take the clothes. Their store reeks because they don't wash the clothes that are donated and they don't hire anyone with disabilities. Their prices are awful on things that can be bought new at Walmart and in much better condition.

I agree with the review on rude employees, and I have to agree, working there myself, I was harassed about wearing skirts, asked by a fellow employee if I was "religious". Even if I was, it's none of her business, and shouldn't matter what I wear to work as long as it adheres to dress code. The amount greed was a constant annoyance. The "high end" bin apparently is subject to personal opinions, and depends on who it is deciding if it "looks" high end, even if it's a piece of crap from the late 90's. "Oh, it's from Nordstrom's? Check its original price out on Google, $700? Then put $60 on it! Hahaha. Gotta meet those quotas! Especially the yearly $1 million in sales, meet and beat it. Ridiculous for a "non-profit".

The store was a mess. Stuff was falling off the racks while trying to look at clothes. And then there was Michael ..... Michael is lacking in the good manners and any kind of customer service skill. Michael chases customers away replace Michael. Will not returning to that goodwill ever.

Way over priced for a Goodwill. And I mean even for a Goodwill. They wanted $3 for a kids books that was severely damaged and almost retail prices for new books. If I wanted to pay that I would go to a used book store or a retail store where I could return id there were problems

Some times good deals generally the prices on electronics are gouging people. Easier to buy new at Walmart! Get with the program 90s home theater stereos with no speakers arent worth 50 dollars! I guess the pricers in the back are greedy? This isn't ebay or retail pawnshop .

I thought they were suppose to take donations, but apparently they don't take ALL donations. 1. Brought a nice chair with four legs on it and they won't take cuz it needs to have five. WTF??? 2. Brought a decent looking entertainment center and they won't take it cuz it's not modern. WHAAT!!!! 3. Brought a recycled black table and they won't take cuz it's not BLACK any more. ARE YOU CRAZY!!!? Is this the NEW 2018 thing or did I just woke up from a dream?? What in the blue hell are they smoking??????

Seems to me they take donations and jack the prices through the roof. 15 bucks for a pair of pants with holes in them....12 bucks for a shirt with missing buttons....and then they ask you to round up for their jobs program....lately ive been seeing electronics priced higher thab they xost in the atore new

I cant believe how over the year their prices went up,come on it's only second hand clothing and the prices are outrageous. You can buy a pair of pants brand new. for the price they are trying to sell them at cottage grove Goodwill .

I will not donate here again . Very rude man acted like it was terribly inconvenient for him to accept my donations. I will go to St Vinnies from now on- they are always happy to take donations
