Let me start off by saying this vet clinic has been an absolute god send to our dog and family. They took our dog in on an emergency basis the same day we called. They treated Anna like family with the upmost care. All the staff is so compassionate and kind. Hailey is the sweetest person and you can tell she genuinely loves what she does. Please everyone do not read the reviews stating they only care about money that is definitely not the case. With an emergency surgery for our sweet girl they gave us options and worked with us! We cannot speak more highly of a vet clinic. They saved out sweet Anna's life. Thank you all that you do and highly recommend them.Thank you again,Mann Family

I appreciate the services they provide, especially in an emergency. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable.When my pup, The-Old-Sweet-Boy, had to lose an eye they were comforting (for us both) which made the service worry free. I felt confident that The old boy was in GREAT hands.My one thing is that, coming from a veterinary background in both large facilities and small locally owned practices, it is puzzling to me that we are not able to book appointments by doctor of our choosing. Our Old-sweet-boy has special needs and on-going health issues but doesn't have a primary/regular physician. Because of this, I get a walk-in-clinc kind of vibe, over the comfort of having a family vet. However, I was able to have the same doctor for pre-op and surgery for the eye removal, which I very much appreciated.It is noteworthy that I've never been to FVVC on a slow day. They do clearly work hard to provide patient care for so many of us and our furbabies.Overall, I would recommend this business over others in town.

*Please note, I have respect for vets and appreciate their work and challenge of this profession. I am simply writing this to bring some level of justice to what happened to my beloved bunny.We took our rabbit in for an emergency appointment where they determined his teeth were the problem. They were so confident that his teeth were the issue as they are the leading rabbit teeth expert in the area that they did not offer to perform GI stasis measures, blood work, etc. Though we brought up being concerned about him not eating and potentially being in stasis, and they said that the Critical Care would be enough to sustain him and keep him from going into GI stasis (though we are confident he was already in stasis at the time of this visit which is why we were concerned).The vet was in the examination room for an emergency appointment for a total of 5 minutes. Five minutes for our sweet rabbit who was in dire need of care was all he was given that day, and ultimately, that cost him his life. The vet and clinic failed to meet the standard of care upheld by vets though they agreed to see and treat our rabbit that day, and the carelessness of treatment is what ultimately led to his death.Two days later our rabbit's health got worse, so we took him to another vet as soon as we could get him in for an appointment (4 days after the original appointment) where they performed blood work, etc. (and mentioned that his teeth seemed fine) to figure out what was wrong with our bunny, which he was in GI stasis. He passed away the next morning while hooked up to an IV.Rabbits decline quickly, so had he been given proper care and diagnosed correctly when we brought him in to this clinic initially (5 days before he passed), there is a strong chance he would still be here.I understand that humans have to be advocates for their pets, but what are we supposed to do when your pet has a problem that you yourself can't diagnose or treat and the people who are trained in this profession mislead you because they're having a "busy" day, or are, "the foremost bunny tooth expert in the area."We have given the clinic a chance to rectify the situation, but the clinic showed no sympathy nor interest in working with my family to address the situation and in fact, actually treated us quite rudely, though we are the ones who lost a significant member of our family due to their negligence.So, I am leaving this review in hopes of preventing another tragedy and to INSIST that you please take your pets elsewhere for care as this clinic is not interested in the wellbeing of your pet, but rather the money they can make.**Also, always get documentation of everything before you leave any vet and even record the whole encounter if possible to ensure no changes are made to your pet's documents after you walk out of the clinic that favor the clinic over what you and your pet actually experienced during an appointment.

0 Stars in all honesty.TLDR: Our bunny was seen for a total of 5 minutes, incorrectly diagnosed, and passed away because of this. When seeking to talk over the situation with the owner (politely I might add), I was given only 5 minutes of his time and was treated with an inconsiderate, angry attitude.It would almost be poetic if it wasn't so heartbreaking.Please choose a different vet to take your beloved pets to, I strongly encourage this after a terrible experience that I hope is never repeated. Note, I appreciate all of the hard work vets everywhere do on a daily basis. However, the story of what happened to my pet needs to be shared in hopes of preventing another tragedy.I took my rabbit in for an emergency appointment and when he was finally seen, they gave about 5 minutes of time to him. They insisted he had a dental problem and that they couldn't treat him for one week, but that he would be fine on the prescribed medication. We brought up other concerns that were dismissed and later documented incorrectly. The vet assured us that they are experts in this field and that our pet would be fine until he could be seen again in one week. Though we did our best to seek out advice, we are not vets ourselves and had to put some level of faith that the professionals were doing their job. We took him home where he began to decline, so we sought out another vet to see him at the earliest possible time, which was 4 days later. However, though he was seen by this other vet, at that point it was too late as rabbits decline quickly and he passed away the next day.Additionally, when I tried to give the clinic an option to rectify the situation, I was treated extremely rudely (one of the clinic owners, a vet himself, nearly yelled at me at one point), stating that he only had 5 minutes to speak with me. I asked him to call me back when he had more time, and he responded with, "You have 5 minutes, talk!" When I asked why he was being so abrasive, he said they were "very busy." Their lack of time and care is what ultimately led to the death of our family's bunny. I urge you to think twice before bringing any pet here as it is clear they are more interested in profits over pets.

I've been taking my cats to FVVC for years and my grandson and brother have also taken their dogs there.They are wonderful and caring with animals! I live in Eugene now but still drive down to take my kitties for check ups.Below are Nora, Pickles, Ruby and Boo-boo. :-)

My dog had an emergency and they were able to get me in same day. She needed emergency surgery we couldnt afford (tax return saved the day) and i feel they really worked with me to help my dog while helping me keep cost of surgery on lower end so i could afford it. My little girl is getting better and i have them all to thank for saving her life. Thank you, thank you!!!!

About a year ago they helped save the life of my puppy when she had Parvo. They were compassionate, offered choices without judgement, and allowed me to sit with my puppy while she recovered. They continue to provide excellent care to all my pets.

Great practice and nice staff, however I’ve had a couple documentation issues like vaccines not making it onto my pets record or flea prevention not documented. Can’t get my dogs flea medication as they did not document that we began in the first place and now need a new exam to go with the prescription.

Amazing. There aren't very many veterinarians that can see reptiles let alone in an emergency. I'm glad my baby girl has an amazing vet she can rely on when she gets sick. She will make a full recovery thanks to the wonderful people here. She also just enjoyed visiting her favorite doctor and getting all the love from the staff.

They were very professional and yet compassionate when I had to put my baby to sleep. I am so sad to lose Ratchet but she is in a much better place now. They did not rush me to leave and let me sit and cry with her for a while and it was my choice when to leave even though they were busy. I can't thank them enough for making this tough decision at least as comforting as they could.

My puppy we think got into a wisteria plant and started showing signs of illness. I am new to town and called them immediately. Within minutes we were there and seen very quickly. They were caring, super friendly, and very knowledgeable.

Rude antagonistic tech, tried to make a much bigger deal out of what normal people would have just ignored, tried to turn it into an argument when I was already past it. This isn't the first time I've encountered rude people, and very slow help. I'm done with this place, I have given them more chances than they deserve.

I would never take your animals here they did an amputation on my cat never took a X-ray on her before surgery after we asked them two went in blind did a unnecessary surgery my cat then had to be put down Becuase her tail was severed if they did the X-ray we would of put our baby down originally instead of doing the surgery and putting her throw 2 week of pain. We paid 1500 they refused did give us that back gave half of it back and keeped the rest. There money hunger and don’t now what they are doing. This is the X-ray they took after amputating her leg. My baby was a year old. And then after there mistake they refused to let me bring my dogs in to get them flea medicine. We are getting a lawyer and suing

I strongly urge you to NOT bring your pets to this clinic. Before you pay them a DIME, be sure to request to see a physical copy of the visit notes, pet charts, and any other applicable information and have copies sent to you. These people Will tell you one thing, turn around and write notes in your chart stating another. The owners care about one thing, squeezing any money possiblefrom you while you are in their office. Show them this is WRONG, take your business elsewhere, your pets will thank you.

Way too damn expensive, go to South Willamette Veterinary Clinic in Creswell better prices. You can afford to have a dog there not in Cottage Grove anymore, chalk it up to "Greed in the Grove". Doctor seemed scared of a chihuahua. Wouldn’t let me ask questions and wouldn’t answer the ones I did ask. I believe she miss diagnosed my dog. It’s been almost two weeks on meds and he’s not any better. 250 dollar vet visit for nothing. Wont EVER go there again. Poor wallie is still sick.

Amazing service!! My poor baby was fine one day then the next she went somewhere to hid to die, she is not one to hide like this from us. I called Forest Valley and they squeezed her in, and come to find out she needed emergency surgery because she had pyometra. I'm so beyond satisfied with this place and the amazing service and care that they gave my baby girl. Thank you for saving her life!

Let me tell you how amazing this clinic is, especially Dr. Harmon!We took our 7 week puppy to the emergency vet in Springfield on Friday, and was told that she most likely had a linear blockage and needed surgery. They quoted us $6,500 - $8,500. We could not do afford that so we decided to take her home at 2:30 am and take her to Forest Valley to see if they could help us.We arrived as soon as they opened on Saturday morning, we did not have an appointment and we had been up all night worried. I was a wreck and balling when we got there. They treated us with such compassion and even though they were booked solid they took us back and got to work right away. The vet tech and staff went into action and wanted to do whatever they could. The Dr came in and got right to work too! She said that they wanted to do there own more extensive barium xrays and see what is going on. She said that if it is life threatening she would stay and do the surgery herself. She was not going to let her die. She even had placed text out to other vets to see if they could come in and save a 7 month old dachshund.Luckly it did not come to that. The barium xray did not seem to show a blockage. It seemed to show that she had some paresis of the intestine. They gave her food and water, she ate it up. They held her and comforted her the whole time she was there. They did more xrays and things were moving. They did not support surgery at this time and got her some meds and food to help her and a squeezed in follow up appt for Monday.I am beyond impressed with this whole clinic and its staff. And Dr. Harmon has the heart of an angel! Shelby, my husband Ron and I are so grateful for her.Thank you from my whole heart!

We are SO impressed with this facility. They were able to squeeze us into an emergency same day appointment for our very sick reptile. Dr. Harmon and the staff were so kind and compassionate and helped us make the right choice for our pet. Reasonable price and wait time. Will definitely be returning, thank you again.

I LOVE how they have treated all of our pets. However, their customer service needs work. Not informing of charges until ots time to pick up your pet imo is not good practice. I want to know what im going to be paying up front. Im not talking about emergency issues i mean normal fees.
