This was a highlight of dinner as we tried the restaurant next door Brass Monkey and that was poor across the board, if you stop by and think "there is a restaurant next door let's try that." Don't. Although for us we looked at reviews then tried the restaurant then said cool a ice cream place next door.Back to the ice cream, good prices and great service, allowed the boys to try one flavor before making their decision. The ice cream was very good, everyone liked their ice cream. The flavors are standard plus a little Salt and Straw style on some. Plus they have some adult beverages if you are so inclined. Wanted to try the Orange Creamcicle but at $10 I decided against it, maybe next timeThe highlight was these spoons. Initially we all got cones but one boy wanted a spoon and then it changed color and my eyes widened, "oh can you get me one too." Had not seen these before and we still have them.

Been here over and over for at least the last year. The staff has been so welcoming, efficient and kind it’s always an absolute joy to come get ice cream. The flavors are fun and rotate often. I’ve never been disappointed and it’s just an all around lovely place. 10/10 would recommend without a hesitation. Bless this nest you digOh and the waffle cones are killer

Very unique and high quality spot for ice cream and beer, mixtures of both. Sprinkles, or oreo, toppings are abundant. Outdoor seating lots of tables outside, delicious beers too. Try the beer floats, unique oregon beers like stouts or fruity sours perfectly mixed with delicious ice cream. Friendly staff, always willing to help make a recommendation. Fun family location with something for everyone. My family always enjoys our time here, and always leaves happy with new memories.

They have a lot of different gluten-free ice creams. And when I Told them that I needed something completely gluten-free, They got a clean scoop and scooped out of the tub that was unopened. With a mix of locally sourced, fresh ingredients and handmade ice cream, it is hard to go wrong. I really appreciate the portion options, the use of reusable sample spoons and bowls for dine in, and affordable prices. The ice cream was rich, creamy, and full of flavor. Definitely going to be a "go to" for us for date nights. The promise of rotating flavors to pick from is also a plus. Thanks for creating this delicious addition to downtown Corvallis!

Its location along the river would be great on a summer day (we went in winter). We had 4 flavors and really loved 2 of them. The thiccc mint and the especially the pistachio with Amarena cherries were very good. The miso caramel was initially a sweet caramel flavor but it had hard bland chunks. The brunch with the mayor flavor was initially amazing in its likeness to pancakes with maple syrup but ended up having a floury mouthfeel. The cones were crumbly but we were offered another to go around one of ours to hold the first one together. Over all I liked the place and will happily return in warmer weather.

Awesome handmade ice cream and fresh made waffle cones! The chocolate, cookie dough, and honey passionfruit ice cream were fantastic. Free sprinkles, too! They also have milkshakes, boozy floats, and beer.

Ice cream is very yummy and I appreciate having GF options. Staff is friendly & helpful. I stop here for ice cream every trip to CorvallisDietary restrictions: GF and Vegan flavors are clearly marked. Staff did not ask about cross contamination risk for me but it's not an issue for me but could be for some people

Popped in here for some ice cream with a group of 7. The workers were welcoming and helpful. It was our first time here, visiting out of town for my brother's wedding. They were kind enough to allow us to sample several flavors. I loved the camomile honeycomb on a waffle cone. Their OR strawberry jam is also really tasty. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his cookie dough and generous chunks of dough.

Sugar J's has very good ice cream. Very unusual flavors. I've enjoyed having the cones. However, tonight we split a chocolate malt. Was very disappointed because it was more like drinking chocolate milk with malt in it. Very thin and not very cold. Disappointing. They did offer to make it right but I didn't want to have anymore. We've had malts there before and they were really good. Person making them tonight I guess didn't know how to make them.

Best ice cream 3 guys on a road trip have had in a long while. Right off surprisingly good with good unique flavors. You can tell their waffle cones they make in house, and they are some of the best we’ve tasted. And we are avid ice cream dessert connoisseurs.Plus, the young man serving us was one of the nicest around.Super impressed with the whole place.Thank you!

Came here with my vegan friend, not vegan myself but tried several flavors and the vegan dark chocolate was the best! I’m partial to dark chocolate, but as an omnivore, I have to say a vegan flavor was my favorite. Great place for vegan ice cream and super affordable. It’s about $6 for some espresso and a scoop of ice cream - not bad! I had to order ALL the things that sounded good and I was hungry enough for, but even so I walked out spending less than $20 on my order. Pretty awesome! Will be back next time I have a hankering for ice cream.

You owe it to yourself to visit Sugar J's Ice Cream Workshop! I had the London Fog and it was fantastic. Smooth and creamy Earl Grey Ice Cream in a fresh Sugar Cone, that is out of this world. I appreciate the creativity and selection of enticing Ice Cream flavors. The employee was kind and got my order filled quickly. Sugar J's is a wonderful place to take kids.

Pros:- Delicious ice cream- Cheaper than Coldstone- Very unique flavors- Cool temperature color changing spoons (for free!)- I think they have vegan ice cream? I'm not vegan nor do I care, but still cool!Cons:- Online (and on their shop) it says they close at 9:30, but I went to get ice cream at around 9:10 and they were already closing. I asked them about it, because the worker was standing right there, but they just said sorry we're closed without an explanation (even after showing them my phone with the closing time). It was two college kids blasting music--honestly just seemed like poor hiring rather than the shop itself, but nonetheless frustrating. Either update your hours or stay open when it says you're open.- Chocolate ice cream is very strong- No vanilla flavor (not a con for me, but something to be aware of)Overall still my favorite ice cream shop, the customer service just sucks. I now know to avoid it when I am craving ice cream when it's later.
