Decided to go here today after work to do a little shopping. Went to the Deli Ordered two pieces of Fried chicken. For the drive home One leg 1.79 One Thigh 1.99 = 3.78 The person in the delhi slap a tag on the bag With the price 5.30 Even thePrice tag said chicken tenders. Basically purposely overcharging by 1.52. The cashier corrected I called the The minutes I left Spoke with senior manager on duty He tried to tell me the employee did not purposely overcharge me I said how can you say that when the price label Says something completely different than what he put in the bag Let's not forget walmart just got sued and settled For the same issue Buyer beware I don't care if it's only 1.52 I wake up every morning and go to work to earn that money

Nice big store so selection of product is usually good, most employees are friendly. Don't really care for alot of the bakery items (cookies taste wierd). And a bit expensive for those wierd cookies.

Shopping at this Safeway this afternoon, low or no items I was shopping for, checking out very poor, no self checkout, 9 people in line, one checker, no communication, other staff walking around, I returned my items and left. Have already shifted all our pharmacy away, getting tired of poor service, will probably stop shopping here altogether now.

I go here everyday after work. I went in this evening to get a 6 pack of IPA. I brought it to the register. I gave the cashier my ID and as I was entering my member number she said “Excuse me” I didn’t think anything of it, but when she came back she said “I’m not going to do it.” I politely asked why not? And she just said “I’m not comfortable with it.” She wouldn’t elaborate any further so I left. I have literally went in here hundreds of times with no issues. I felt like I deserved an explanation, but she was just very cold towards me. So because of that I will no longer be shopping here. I’ve always been willing to pay the higher prices because I believed it was a better experience overall, but I can’t say that anymore. Horrible customer service I’m sad to say.

The barista at Starbucks, who had blue hair and an attitude disappointed me and my friends who tried to order a drink. I asked for a decaf coffee, but I had the wrong payment for a "hot drink". They were speaking under their breath about how this situation "sucks" and that made me uncomfortable to ask for it iced or blended. Normally the staff is very kind and enjoys serving me what I ask, but this worker seemed to only care about themselves.

The absolute worst deli!! They’re completely incompetent at slicing meat. They can’t figure out how to slice cheese so it doesn’t turn into one big clump. Everyone in there throws attitude for asking them to do their job. I’m sure it comes from management- Safeway if you’re going to charge this much for groceries and have bad service. We’ll be taking our deli orders and business elsewhere

Very poorly run with less than minimal effort put in my employees. So frustrating.Poor management of store with never having enough check out lines open. I never understood why there's more than seven lanes built in but never use them.Also employees do not flag and notify customers at the express line when they have in excess of 10 items therefore delaying and slowing down check out of customers with five items or less which is very inefficient.

Barbara deli manager and James assistant store director, are both very rude and disrespectful towards customers and employees, have no care in what their employees have to say and don't wanna fix any issues brought up by their employees, all barb did was talk to down to the employee and interrupt every chance she got, acting as if the new hire didn't matter at all. james also just kept interrupt after he had asked multiple questions to the employee, both were on very high power trips for nothing, the employee felt like they were being talk to like they were less worthy then every other employee

Store is great but the bakery is awful. Ordered cupcakes for my daughter’s first birthday party- half chocolate, half vanilla with a white rose on top. No color, super simple because I wanted to add my own decor to them. The first time we got them there was a hot pink flower on top. They offered to fix it and agreed on just simple white frosting. When we picked them up there was a huge green leaf on top and they didn’t have time to fix it. The girl working told us we lied to her about the color thing so idk what that was about but was extremely frustrating. Why would we lie? The manager was nice and offered a discount but we had already paid. Really disappointing.

My husband and I have been shopping at this location for years which is 5 minutes from our home. However as of today we will be taking our $300/average a week grocery bill to either Safeway in Philomath or Winco. We’ve tried and tried to deal with the incompetent checkers and baggers. There is NEVER enough checkers usually 1 in express and a line of people. When you have a full cart, no one wants to go in express lane. Defeats the purpose, plus waiting forever to get checked out. The baggers have obviously not been trained on how to bag as quite a few times we’ve gotten home and items are crushed or smashed(crackers,bread,chips) These may not seem to be a big deal to some but checkers seem to have no interest in their surroundings (more checkers need called)or their customers. Once or twice is workable but this has consistently happened to where we’re driving almost 8 miles to the other Safeway!

My husband and granddaughter would like to enjoy the spicy chicken strips from the deli. However, today I asked my husband what he was eating because I could hear him crunching from another room. He said his last chicken strip from Safeway because it's so overcooked all the time now.

I normally shop at the Albany Safeway but was in Corvallis so I stopped in for some Activia. Did not remember to look at expiration date. Got home, sure enough, date on it said Jan 29, 2023. I'm shopping on Feb 03, 2023. This is the 2nd time now this has happened to me at this store. I contacted corporate the first time but it seems nothing has changed. Do Not Buy any type of Yogurts here unless you remember to look at the dates........maybe look at ALL the dates on your food.

In this day and age practically every supermarket should have a self check out lane. They have an express lane but that is still manned by a worker. It just makes things slower. Not to mention this place has weirdly pricey things. A chocolate bar that goes for 78¢ at another store is $1.50.

Safeway on Circle, in Corvallis is always busy, but the staff are always cheery, friendly, and willing to help. It's at a great location. The prices aren't the cheapest, but catch them when they're having sales, or use the app to save on tons of groceries and other products. Love Safeway!

Shopping at safeway is a gamble half the time digital coupons don't ring up so if I want the sale price its a trip back to store which eats up your savings. Watch the cashier closely because they don't care.

The store and the employees are mostly great, though I think their regular prices are high. But when I use coupons, about 9 times in 10 they overcharge me. Last time I was there I was charged over $70 when I expected to pay about $40. It took over 20 minutes at Customer Service to get about $32.78 refunded. The woman there was slow and grumpy, as though it was unreasonable for me to want to be charged the advertised prices. And she acted like the arithmetic was hard for her. But as often as they cheat people at Safeway she should have had a lot of practice in recalculating the receipts. They charged about $16 for chicken that was on sale for about $6.10 using the Club Card. I made sure they had my card number but the scanner charged the regular price anyway. I only bought 5 different things and they overcharged on 3 out of the 5. Cheating people on the advertised sale prices must be a major source of profit for them. As I said, overcharges happen literally about 90% of the time when I use coupons or my Club Card to get lower prices. Ridiculous!

I went shopping only to find the manager working teil 1 kept turning around looking at a shopper apparently just coming in to use the ATM, withdrawing cash from it. Who knows it's an American store right?Well apparently the manager while helping me starte leaned in to the customer in front of me as if giving a disparaging remark of prejudice or something towards the customer. They discussed their assumptions of somehow the customer just using their ATM seemed out of place and frauding somehow. Like really?!?Discussting and abruptly rude! Like omg, yea I can see what this the comments on here are starting to come out in the light now. Like my thoughts here should anyone even impose a thought just because they dont like the person in the store it seemsd like?Well, the person at the atm even turned around and I can tell they seemed intruded upon by the audience the manager and the one in front of me seemed to be giving them.Well the person even came over and made a purchase moments later, which made me then question if the motive was set really as a unmerited intention of discomfort to the person. Last words to the cashier was, yea tends the coupon via the app is valid, and has been cut prior to making the purchase. Here it says to me, the salesman aka the sales manager on shift intentialy purposely disregarded the individual as some sort of scamartist or fraudster of some sort.And I mean the person was well dressed well mannered polite and curteous even bagging up the reat of their belongings to a side cashregister for others to move along paceably.Not sure what kind of store your all rinning here, but seems like some trash needs to be taken out before it ruins the company's name.

We shop here every week. When we’re in the checkout isle the staff are friendly and conversational. Club card is the reason to choose Safeway over other places. Club rewards are free and they are well worth the price (free). Kid friendly, quality shoppping carts and good organic options. Go here, you won’t be disappointed!!!

Always have what I'm shopping for. Normally, they are great but today, noon, the whole bagel rack is empty. two people working saw me, everyone of them was too busy to let me ask a question. this is the only reason I drove down there today. Sorry, but after 20 years in grocery and 34 years in retail, I will acknowledge good customer service. Unfortunately today I didn't get that.

Waited 7 minutes in line only to have the cashier close the line instead of ringing me up. He left 3 other people behind me too. Because I was in between appointments, I just left my groceries on the conveyor belt and walked out. I didn't have time to wait in another line. Unfortunately, some of the groceries were from the Chinese food counter, which I am assuming, because they're prepared foods, couldn't be restocked. I wish you'd put in self-check stands like everyone else.

Safeway prices are on par or better than most other competitors, so long as you shop using their rewards card. Some items - like fruit, for example, are better quality than similar grocers in the area. Their weakness is customer service. Long lines are inevitable and I’ve never once been asked by an employee on the floor if I needed any help. I haven’t even been greeted. I don’t grocery shop as a social exercise, however, so this isn’t much of a deterrent personally. The store is clean and the layout is sensible. Selection is not limited, but is not vast either. Safeway brand is consistently great quality across products.

Safeway in Albany is really nice. Great selections, bakery is excellent. Checking out is always a pleasure. Well stocked shelves and prices are good.
