I would love to give this place a good review but unfortunately after shopping here for nearly 8 years, things have changed. Charging $5 for a box of tampons is just absolutely disgusting. This is something people NEED and they’re charging the same price as a normal store. My gosh they should be giving products like these away to a homeless shelter! Also beware, they will charge you for each credit card transaction, no matter how much it is. I bought $10 of stuff and was charged 40 cents. I LOVE supporting animals and even volunteered at a shelter for many years. I have encountered too many rude volunteers here, especially in the past year.

I get good books here for only one dollar, so one dollar goes a lot farther at Heartland Humane Thrift store than it does anywhere else and getting to read real words printed on paper in an actual book that has its own smell, feel (and possibly soul) for such a low entry price makes me happy. One only has to do a simple "Cost Benefit Analysis" on Heartland Humane vs. other area thrift and or book stores to see they're at the top of the list. Today's score was a book from the 70s about working on dirt bikes...from the 70s. Rad.

I shop here at least weekly and always find something great to bring home. The prices are low, especially for books and other media. Be aware there may be an extra 5% charge if you use a credit card. I try to keep some cash on hand just for shopping here.

This is he nicest thrift shop in Corvallis. Things are displayed well -- not cramped or squashed together on the racks. There is an amazing selection of items which changes daily depending on donations. Most volunteers are friendly and helpful. Sale colors change monthly: some items are then 50% off and some 75%. Until recently, this shop was completely volunteer with all proceeds going to the shelter.

Great for puppy necessities! When we started preparing for our new puppy, the first place I went was the Heartland Thrift Shop. I found a perfect crate for my new puppy and a nice used puppy gate! Of course, the selection varies but when you get lucky and find what you’re after, you’ll be supporting a great organization, saving money, and reducing/reusing! Win, win, win!

I went to Heartland Humane Society Thrift Shop a couple days ago and was really sad to see what has happened to the place. It's no longer a cool little thrift shop but more like a high-end Boutique. I was completely thrown back by their extreme change in pricing, a used bag was $15, use blenders and coffee pots were $10 and $15, they had used shoes between $5 and $20 a pair, the used sock bin went from $0.25 a pair to $1 pair (yes used socks at a dollar a pair!). I'm not sure what happened but it seems prices doubled and even quadrupled on things. The layout of the store is completely different as well. I would have rated it at 1 but I was excited to see that they still had the color discounts where you could get 75% and 50% off specific colored tags (good thing cuz you'll need them to shop there now).

Love this thrift store with its awesome staff of friendly and caring volunteers. I find comfort knowing my donations of unneeded items are going to a good cause. As for shopping, I never leave this store empty handed, usually they are full of incredible finds, especially in artwork and books.

I have been shopping at this amazing thrift store for several years and always find interesting items offered for sale. My recent visit on 11.16.2019 yield a lightly used full zip Pearl Izumi Hi Visibility Fleece Insulated Riding Jacket with reflective stripping for $10. I have seen a comparable jacket at REI for $76. The staff is super helpful and friendly. Highly Recommended.****FIVE STARS*****

This is a must stop location for us every time we travel to Corvallis. Having 3 dogs, 7 indoor cats and 3 barn cats we are always checking in to see what kind of new pet goodies they happen to have on hand. Over the years we've gotten everything from XXL crates, 48 in & 24 in exercise pens, foldable steps for a SUV, soft sided kennels for cats & dogs, and numerous jackets, beds & dishes of all sizes and shapes for our pets.They also have a nice selection of things for people as well. We always seem to be finding books and puzzles for my mom. My husband has been pretty successful in finding himself a wide assortment of T-shirts for wearing around the house as well as quality dress shirts for work. We've also bought love seat, chairs, a specially made sewing table, a dresser, two king size bed sets w/comforters, fabric for quilting, several Breyer collectable horses and numerous other items over the years.You just never know what you may find when you visit the Heartland Humane Society thrift store. However, you can be sure of two things. First, that you will always find good quality items at a fair price. Their everyday prices are very reasonable, but they top that off with colored tag sales. They offer one colored tag at 50% off and another colored tag at 75% off each week which makes their sale prices almost unbelievable! Secondly, they have an amazing group of volunteers that runs the thrift store. These dedicated individuals are a super group of people who are always welcoming and friendly to their customers (They even have a water bowl and a treat container at the counter for their four footed guests.). It's always a pleasure to talk with the folks that volunteer their time here. So if you ever have a question don't be afraid to ask the staff. If they don't know the answer they'll sure do their best to find one for you. These volunteers are definitely ⛥⛥⛥⛥⛥.

I swing by 'Cat's Meow' (its former name) every few days. I always find treasures at this thrift store. It is completely staffed with volunteers, and all of the proceeds go to the Heartland Humane Society. It is a rare day when I don't find a treasure of some sort.When I donate goods, I always try to take them to this thrift shop. What doesn't get sold in their store is donated to another locally run shop that helps local underprivileged families.

"Cat's Meow" (the old name of this thrift shop) is the best thrift shop in town! I always find something good. The staff, who are all volunteers, are very friendly.
