Friendly helpful staff. Open 7 days a week. Until 10 M- Sat and until 9 on Sunday. Besides liquor they have nearly anything you might need from a big store. I love them.

I work at The Old General Store. I Love it! Love seeing our regulars, and usually have their items ready for them before they get to the counter. They love it!If anyone has any sort of negative experience, whether or be the pricing or issues with any of the staff, come on and talk to Lisa, the manager.She's an awesome boss, and she'll try to help out with any issue.If she doesn't know there's a problem, especially if it's an issue with one of the staff being rude, then she can't address it.She's a very easy person to talk to. :)

I have to love this place because I worked there for over eleven yrs. I also worked there once before & after having seven yrs off, I'm working there again.You've got a question about Charleston, crabbing, claiming, state & county parks around the area? We can prob answer them & if we can't we will direct you to who can. Some of the friendliest cashiers around.We also are a liqueur store. Plus we carry quit the assortment of specialty beers & wines.Come in & say, "Hi," coffee, tea & hot chocolate if your cold & cold drinks if your hot.

I go in the store very often and I have been treated with nothing but kindness... I have been in there when it's busy and watch a single employee run multiple registers at an amazing pace... I personally have nothing but great things to say about the store and the employees...

Got a bundle of firewood here and the wood was green (undried). It was hopeless to burn as it needed about 6 months to dry out (if it wasn't bundled in plastic wrap). I doubt the old general store is responsible, but their wood supplier knows better.

Old general store out in Charleston oregon is my favorite liquor store in all of coos county there staff are friendly so if ur out in Charleston area be sure to stop in at the old general store and grab urself a cold refreshing drink(:

I got kicked out of the store because I informed the cashier that all of their milk with outdated she told me to mind my own business I told her it was my business because I have to buy it and take it home and find out it's rotten and take a drink tell because I raise my voice to her she kicked me out

They are really nice. A few weeks ago my boyfriend left an item outside the store by accident. It was late right at closing time and we got all the way home before We realized it. We called the store and the guy who was working went outside and got it for us and held it for us so we could pick it up the next day.

Was my favorite local store until a new very rude employee started working there. At first I wrote it off as a bad day butboth my brother and myself have had the same experience while he is working. Don't know what the guys problem is but I won't be going there anymore if he still works there.

Love this place when I only need a few things. The prices are high but it's very convenient. The picture in this post is not the general store. It is Davey Jones Locker across the street.

Three star rating mainly for the convenience. I recommend driving a few miles and doing your shopping elsewhere. Be prepared to spend 50%+ on some items if you shop here.

Wide selection of alcohol and anything you need commodity wise for your last minute camping and food shopping. Perfect location and excellent customer service make this store an asset to Charleston

Also a liquor store. Its a small mom and pop store. But they have alot of items to choose from regardless. I go there often. Masks required, not really enforced. Also atm works.
