Friends down here in The Outpost have been talking about the food. I listened and am sure glad I did. Lamb Curry with Spicy rice is so delicious! Lots of bones and parts=happy mouth! Don't forget to ask for the chutneys. Super nice family!

Oh my goodness!!! Real, flavorful, delicious, spicy Indian food!!! Small selection but so tasty! The nann is so soft, the butter chicken and basmati rice are well made and very delicious. Nice staff. I didn't shop just came for the food. I'll be back even though it's a 45min drive for this treat!

OK. The Indian food is incredible! The samosas are amazing! Crispy pastry, flavorful, succulent stuffings of potato, veg & curry. I also had the lamb curry. It has nice spice & heat. The meat is very tender. I'll be back!

If I could give 10 stars, I would. I've been frequenting this market since I was a small child. The new owners have cleaned it up and updated it with care. The employees are bright, friendly and have my favorite treats hot n ready for me on my lunch break. They will always have my business

The selections are numerous, the store very organized and very very clean. The new floor is beautiful. The young gentleman who helped us was very kind, patient and knowledgeable of their products. They have an assortment of men's ED products, which a lot of older men experience, an assortment of pipes, and a nice island deli. The store is much better than it was before.

We stopped by once several months ago when we were looking for a convenience store to buy a soda/water. Imagine our delight at the wonderful aromas of Indian food being cooked. We were greeted warmly and offered a sample. We had just eaten elsewhere, unfortunately, so we couldn't partake of a full meal, but the flavors were ridiculous. We were only in town for the day, but swore we would return. Several months later we find ourselves in town again and this was a major draw for us. We had amazing butter chicken and chicken curry, and homemade garlic Naan. Amazing. And so friendly.

Excellent Indian food. Being an Indian myself, I vouch their tandoori chicken on a stick is legit flavorful. Not just blah red chicken but real tasty n authentic. They serve fresh food at lunch but there is food available round the clock in their refrigerator section for heat n eat. We went camping near by and were thrilled to have this .Loved their naan and samosa as well as spicy chicken curry n rice. A must stop for anyone visiting Coos Bay and wants Indian food.I am hoping they can add parantha to their menu- aloo, gobi and paneer/ tofu. Would be easy to heat n serve too esp for vegetarians.A great convenience store with a nice value added.

By far the best convenience store I have ever stepped foot into. I frequented this place when I lived nearby and it was under prior ownership. The new owners kept everything that was good about the old place, and elevated everything else.My 15 yr old liked the vibe and the selection, she wants to go back.And the Indian food so many reviews mention? My mouth is on fire and I LOVE it. The fellow behind the counter told me the butter chicken is very popular, I asked which was his personal favorite and he was still inclined to give me the butter chicken until I told him I love spicy. He gave me the chicken curry. I also got the spicy vegetarian rice. Both on point. 2 👍Don’t love Indian food? They have what looked like exactly the same terrific hot food that the old store had. Everything very clean. Looking forward to my next trip to the area. Will go again. And again. 😋

Stopped by today for a quick snack, I had no idea they were serving fresh Indian food. As soon as I walked in the store, it smelled of fresh curry and spices! I was pleased with my lamb curry I brought home to heat up! Will most definitely stopping by more on my way to work! Owner and staff are super friendly!

This place makes really excellent Indian cuisine and a variety of other food items that are delicious. The owner, (Sahbee.. sorry if misspelled), is always cheerful and a pleasure to do business with!The story itself is always spic-and-span and the shelves full with a good selection of fresh products.Thank you and keep it up!

Great service, they offered to let us try anything from the deli we asked about and there was A LOT to choose from. They had 4 different kinds of curry and all were amazing. The garlic naan was the best too. I will definitely be back and am bummed I didn’t try it sooner. The store was very well kept and clean.

Hair in the food, a man who speaks very fluent English and can understand you one moment then when he is asked a question he doesn’t want to answer he suddenly “doesn’t understand”. A think, black Curley hair was found in my biscuits and gravy, I’ve never seen any of them wear a beard net or hair net I’m surprised the health dept hasn’t shut them down.

American Market is amazing. I had brain cancer and had a bunch of side effects. One was a deminished taste bud. If you looked at my appearance you wouldn’t think this but it is so nice to find a local store that produces real authentic amazing food. This store blows our restaurants out of the water. My taste buds come to life with this food. Thank you for serving our community

Amazing spot. We are on bike tour and stopped in to grab a beer before camping at sunset bay and grabbed some Indian food. Literally best samosa I've ever had.

We stopped in for coffee and were taken in by the wonderful smells of Indian curry. Great samosas! Lovely family running the place. We were on our way back to Portland but bought eggplant curry to go. The Indian food rivals anything in Portland. We’ll be sure to stop in whenever we’re in town.

First time going to this store with my boyfriend. We walked around a little and went to pay for the milkshake we got and two employees at the counter told him to empty his pockets and said he put something in them when he did not. This encounter went on for about a minute until they gave it up. Probably racially motivated, my boyfriend is obviously hispanic. Not going again!

The naan was delicious and so was the butter chicken. I like spicy but the spicy chicken was so spicy I couldn’t eat it, it burnt my mouth. I felt like I wasted $11/$12. I’m going to give it another try with the chicken on a stick and the seasoned rice in the hot shelf. The store is very clean.

Hands down the best, cleanest, most organized covenient store I've ever visited. They have a variety of pretty much everything. The owner and staff are kind and very attentive. The indian food prepared by them is delicious. Seven pounds bag of ice are available.The store can be seen easily from the adjacent road day or night. Plenty of parking spaces, well lit up on night.Highly recommended 👌

FANTASTIC FOOD! I don't think I've ever left a review for a convenience store before, but this one deserves it. They sell fresh Indian food that smells and tastes amazing. Every time my husband and I stop for something to drink etc we end up walking out with food, and everything we've had so far has been delicious. Highly recommend stopping by!
