I have a love-hate relationship with Chester's. First, they have gotten much better over the past 10 years. However, some staff are simply not interested in being friendly. I have also found many expired items on the shelves. They are expensive, but that is to be expected in a coastal tourist area. I love the local art. And they have just about everything you could need. If I were the owner, I would make a top to bottom deep clean mandatory every six months. Bought a pineapple corer and the dust on it was from 1985. I'll be shopping there again soon, I'm sure.

Chester's Markets has a mom and pop feel to it even though it's a market store chain. For Pacific City, it seemed like it had the best selection of groceries compared to the other shops nearby. The staff was very friendly and it had mostly everything we needed. Everything was clean and well organized. Some things were out of stock, but I'm assuming this is because it's the only well supplied shop in the town.

Staff is always friendly. Consistently pretty well stocked. For such a busy little market, they're on top of it! I've never waited in line more than 2-3 minutes, they move people through check out quickly & efficiently.

I delivered to this location this morning I was supposed to deliver here a day earlier at 6am but my first delivery before Chester's was a nightmare I was impressed with the hospitality, this little market i thought was incredible im just a semi driver but their demeanor toward me was warm and generous offered me a cup of coffee which was soooo good vs the truck stops and dives that I visit they asked how I was doing and if I slept ok the area itself is a beautiful place and people at this market matched it was really refreshing especially with social and political nonsense happening wile at Chester's I felt that good people still exist and I look forward to revisiting if your ever in the area visit Chester's also I bought some American cheese and sliced roast beef for sandwiches and it was incredible i hope I see them again thank you Chester's for being who you are!!!!

Went in for a interview, they are very scandalous. All around bad pay. But I started off by setting up a interview before I moved up here for a supervisor position, when I showed up for it she offered me a clerk position and a bad pay cut. I haven't made less the $18 a hour in almost ten years. I also have child support and alimony I have to pay, so $15 a hour for a clerk wasn't gonna cut it. So I countered with what happened to me applying for the supervisor position they then told me it was on $17 a hour... I said well that will be fine for now tell I get my raise. They said ok, asked me some questions and then said I would now if I got the job by 5 pm. It's been three months and I have notice they can't keep staff or supplies in stock...

This store reminds me of the grocery store I grew up working in as a kid. Small town grocery stores have everything - well, almost everything. The best part of this store is the price for their bags of ice. Everyone else charges $2.99 for their bags - not Chesters! Only $1.99! I appreciate their reasonable pricing - thanks!

Good small supermarket, out of my way but I go to get good frozen seafood and more. BIG Plus is the small State liquor store, which is great if you find yourself low on supplies after regular liquor store hours. This is part of the grocery store, uses one aisle, and uses a separate checkout. But it is open whenever the grocery store is open (usually ten p. m.).

Great little market we always hit up when we are in need to stock up for our visit to Pacific City. The people who work here are friendly and helpful. The selection of fresh sea food and meats is very good. Lots of your normal market stuff. Prices are sort of Portland Metro but again, a nice place to get your vacation house stock up for your time there.

This is a nice local grocery store. They have a decent selection of most everything. There is also a liquor store inside. All purchases of liquor must be rang up separately from the purchases for the grocery side. The staff are always friendly and helpful.

A surprisingly well-stocked small market in Pacific City. Produce was limited. A great place to food shop if you are in the Pacific City area and don't feel like driving in to Lincoln City for a full supermarket.

Chester's does a really good job for a small town grocery store. Deli has good grab and go choices. There is a liquor store inside. There is a oregon lottery machine at the entrance. Most of the checkout is self scanning with help readily available.

The only complete grocery store in town. Has more than just "The basics" and significantly more options. Certainly worth the short drive away from the main tourist area.

Nothing to really say. The place is decent they have most things I need from a market such as that. The staff could definitely pretend to not hate their job a little bit but there is a new(ish) cashier that is a doll. Lovely lady makes everyone feel like she values you and appreciates you each day you stop by. But she's the only one... she is I believe from Idaho? Can't think of her name but if you stop by make sure you get her as your help if you can!

Groceries in Pacific City, this is your go to. Best selection in town. It costs a little more but you're in Pacific City. That's to be expected. Any groceries you need or anything you forgot. Chester's is your go to.

We were looking for fresh seafood for dinner. The lady in the seafood counter recommended the salmon just delivered and we watched her fillet the whole fish skillfully with a friendly conversation.The fish was superb!

I was very impressed that the same cashier remembered that I like paper bags, yes it a little pricey, but what can you expect from a small coastal town. At the rate gas prices are, sometimes its cheaper to buy here then to drive out. They almost have a little bit of everything you need.

Expensive prices with limited inventory but it's literally either this or Cape Kiwanda Marketplace and Chester's has way more selection. Nice and polite people working there. Here and the shell gas station are the only two places in town to get cigarettes or hard liquor. Beggars can't be choosers, if you don't like what they got next closest grocery store is almost half hour drive away.

Good deli jojo's the real ones seemed to be short staffed so line to check out was lengthy and checker was a bit inexperienced had to call another one over to help she too seemed a Lil inexperienced as well were very kind and polite .

Great little market, friendly staff. Has almost anything you would need, some things might be a little higher price, well that's what happens when you live so far away from suppliers and distributors! Some of the popular items tend to sell out on the busy summer weekends. Always good in a pinch
