For a small, old store, this one is actually clean and organized. It also has typical high Safeway prices. However, because it is an old store, the aisles are narrow and there isn't even a bakery here. This is surprising because I have been to smaller towns with Safeway or Albertsons and they have at the very least a bakery and deli. It's not really a place for huge shopping trips. But if you want to see what it was like to shop at Safeway in the 1960s, this is about as close as it gets. There aren't too many old stores like this still open.

This Safeway has a very good selection of items, more than the Walmart! (Comparing dry food. Obviously, they don't have a wide camping section than Walmart)They have a wide variety of on the go snacks, produce, and dry food. The prices are high, which is probably a result of being on an island, a tourist one at that. But all of the workers were very friendly and helpful.

This store is small compared to so many other Safeway's. But don't let the size deceive you. Chances are you will find what your looking for. They seem to ha e just about everything here, and in quantity too. Always clean with friendly staff. Since it is a small town, it is not normally busy.

I'm not even sure my review is about Safeway as much as how an employee handled a situation.While at the register a man asked the cashier "how do you stay so skinny ." With his pukey voice and a greasy smile. It was uncomfortably obvious that he found her frailness attractive.She politely looked at the man's wife and said she had an illness that was debilitating and prevented her to maintain weight.After they walked away the girl was visibly shaking but continued helping us. She was obviously upset at his nasty arrogant flirting attempt. Mostly though she seemed very uncomfortable having to explain her personal business at her job. Pretty gross. I was appalled and then impressed. She handled it like a boss. 💪

Well. Went in this store tonight at 7:15 pm and they were slow. I got 5 items and went to get in line. There was a gentleman in line before me with a lot of things so I waited my turn. Then an employee that wasn't working came to get in line but didn't want t wajt so she goes and gets another employee from produce to check her out. Smiling the entire time as I'm still waiting behind "Mr buy out the whole store". Never did either employee offer to check me out also. I dont know their names but it wasn't trevena. (Not sure if I'm spelling it correctly or even attempting the correct name) but I think I'm close. She was not one of the rude employees at this store. I honestly feel you need to address this kind action from these to female employees (1 thin dark haired and 1 heavy set blond ) not a big deal to Comme check out an employeebut to see a customer stuck behind someone with a ton of groceries and not chevk them out also was very rude and unprofessional and should not be acceptable

This is a very old Safeway. Staff were very nice. They have ONE restroom for everyone. It was so dirty and disgusting I couldn’t touch anything. 🤢💩

Such a nice little safeway! It's a bit narrow in some spots for navigation but they've got a nice assortment of items and at reasonable prices. Seems to be a bit of an older location on the inside, even with how fancy they've got the outside revamped to appear. Hope they choose to update some of the interior fixtures and appearance. While nothing looked bad or in disrepair, it simply looked very dated and minimally maintained, which could be any sort of headache for employees in the future should they choose to just continue to let it slide.Bathroom was in an odd spot, but accessible. It's in an area typically thought of as "employees only" behind the swinging doors, and right next to what seemed to be a break area for them. Nowhere to wait should it be occupied but slightly in the way of others but there's not really much of a choice..either wait in the walkway or block the doors which is also a safety hazard.

Really small store kinda busy some cashiers tend to have an attitude. No deli or bakery the baked goods you can purchase were a little stale.

This is a very clean and well maintained store. The employees are well trained in customer service and are quick to help. This store is a small community store. It is too small to have a deli or a flower stand or a bakery, and it shares its space with an Ace Hardware/Hi-School Pharmacy, a cafe, a Subway, US Bank, and the US Post Office with one parking lot for all, but its enough. If you like that small town feeling, there's a relaxed atmosphere about the whole place. Sort of like "OK we're here: it'll get done in good time, relax and let's go look around" type of feeling.You might not find everything you want at this little Safeway, but I think you'll find everything you need./

Clatskanie is lucky to have a Safeway. Definitely my favourite supermarket chain. But, the produce section is disappointing. Heavy on stuff pre-packaged in plastic, and the rest frequently not very fresh, picked over or they've simply run out.

There is one cashier at Safeway and every time I go in there She will be very friendly to the person in front of me saying have a good day etc.and as soon as I get up to pay for my stuff she flat out ignores me. She left her register in the middle of ringing me up without telling me where she was going or anything and only reason I knew why she left is when she came back she had a sticker from a orange in her hand. Anyways I understand if she doesn’t like me out of the store/ work but when you are working you leave your personal stuff and issues at the door and treat your customer with respect.

Safeway on 15th in Longview, wa has some wonderful traits. Walking into the store no longer are you assailed by Homeless,Junkie looking people. Several years ago that was the norm. First thing I noticed was the parking lot clean and a sense of pride i could feel and taste.The store is very spacious. Isles clean and organized. Important to me is the fruit section. You can tell alot by the appearance, feel, smell, and cleanliness of a store by its selection of healthy looking and variety of fruit items.Staff is friendly, attentive, and caring.Bathroom was clean and organized.I was very satisfied and would not hesitate to bring an out of town guest with me to enjoy the shopping experience.Well done.

I love our local little grocery store the ladies are always so helpful the manager is the best one we've had in a long time they work really hard to keep the can Bank clean and riff Raff free thank you for all you do!!!

Went to return cans,only one machine was working. When I asked worker if he would count my cans,since I was already waiting for 40 minutes?He turn around and left with no words.When I went inside and asked checker for help in check stand one she said he was on a break.I waited 20 minutes tryed again, still on break. So I cashed out.Then I was sad with the poor customer service, as if I was where wasting there time..since service was poor and worker had no time or deserve to help.I use to look forward to coming to this store. I hope I can again.Thank you.Jonny was helping at bottles.

I get most my food at this safe way in clatskanie. You will have to go to go to Astoria if you want a bigger selection. Cheeses for snakes are limited. Wine select is good cause all the wine drinkers know what they want. Lol

One of the better Safeway stores I've been to. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of gluten free products they had. The prices were very good. The staff cheerful and upbeat. The store had a great vibe to it.

If I could leave no stars I would. Every time I come here I get the worst service. This is the only place in town and if you recycle cans here they treat you pretty bad. This was my final straw. My husband, 6 year old and myself needed to get our recycling done and with his work schedule and me being in and out of the hospital in and out of labor the last 8 days needed to get it done. After sitting here for an hour and a half having contractions every 10 minutes the machine acted up again and the gentlemen using it went in to get help. 15 minutes later they tell the kid to go take his lunch and that we all would have to wait another half hour till he gets back. Im livid! This kind of stuff happens every time. Never have I had such horrible experiences. My husband is even nice and helps clean up while we wait, just to be nice and this is how we are treated. Sucks to live in a small town and get treated so horribly!

Well.. just here camping with some friends.. came here to grab a few things..Very small and too expensive!The cashier with brown hair and glasses was very rude to us.. accused us of stealing a candy bar that we didn't see in the cart and made a big scene about it.. then harassed my friend about her soda that she already paid for .. tried to show her the receipt.. she refused to look at it..Damn for a small town.. you'd think people would be friendlier.. especially when you're spending a good bit of money..Customer service training maybe in order! Smh

Staff could be friendlier, cashier never even acknowledged me until she told me the amount. There are always long lines and the isles are too close together especially for the people in wheelchairs. I try to never go there as the shopping experience is poor but bad weather was the only reason I didn't go to scappoose to Fred Meyer.

Very friendly service, decent prices. Not a huge store, so some options are limited. Wouldn't mind if they had more bread choices (Artisan, baguette, French bread) and a larger selection of cheeses

It is a nice Safeway but sometimes it is not easy to return cans or bottles. Some employees act snooty towards others when it comes down to those return machines. So what if some people spend their day checking cans and u don't. Doesn't mean you're better than them. Or they're addicts or something like that. Geez, we all need to realize that no one is all that and then some and not be so jr high school mature. Especially when it comes to bottles and can returns.

Always a long wait in line registers are not properly staffed. You can go here and be the only customer in the store and still have to wait to be served. Recommend going elsewhere if at all possible. Wish -5 star rating was possible for this place.

This is a very easy to see store from the road and it is in the same building as a lot of other things. This store usually only has 1 cashier, rarely 2 cashiers. So the lines do get backed up a lot and it is a very small store but okay selection. This is more of a store for locals than stopping by to fill up the RV.

As with any Safeway these days I would give it a four or five on selection employee morale is always a one or two and lack of open lines also one or two stars. Unless I find a Safeway that has self checkout quite frankly I cringe when I go into 1 just because of having to deal with Surly employees

If I could give no stars I wood waited for 45 minutes to have an employee come out to the recycle machinesvwhen ask how long was rudely told that's to bad. Nice customer service. The.public is doing their share for the environment, but Safeway in clatskanie does not care about the environment. Will ever shop here again
