Out running around with my wife after being down in the Crater Lake area for a geology conference. We decided to come over to visit Crack in the Ground and Fort Rock and chose to stay here. The rooms were comfortable and clean, the check in process was easy and depending on the time of the year, you'll get to hang out with a bunch of different birds at Baert Lake.

I was not expecting such a clean and convenient hotel! Exhausted and stopping for the night at the last moment to avoid a storm in the mountains; this was the only one of the two options in town that welcomed our four legged traveling companion. The phone was answered promptly and arrangements procured quickly. The room was clean and convenient. If ever stopping over in this town again I will be glad to return.

Christmas Valley was exactly where we needed to be, so this RV location was perfect. It was easy to park and the trees made the space comfortable. The exception was the maintenance. When we arrived the septic connection for our space was backed up. Using our extra sewage hose, we were able to connect to the space next door. Never during the week while we were there did any service come and unclog the backed up sewer. The problem connecting to the adjoining location, was it required 40 feet of hose and it was uphill. All of the trash cans in the park were filled when we arrived and they stayed that way the entire week. When we left, all we could do was what everyone else did, leave bags of garbage on the ground next to the trash cans. Lastly, the bath house (showers and toilets) were filthy and without toilet paper. This RV park could be really nice. There is so much potential; this place could be so nice, but the maintenance is truly lacking.

Room has been updated and was nice and clean. Bed was comfortable, but pillows weren't...at least for me. Would have been nice to have a hair dryer and shampoo/conditioner as many travelers don't carry those things with them. Other than that, it was a great stay! We were there to see the Ring of Fire eclipse at Fort Rock State Park and it was amazing!Calls to the office were always answered and they sent a maintenance guy out when we couldn't find the water spicket for our camper trailer. We had both a room and an RV site.Thanks for a nice stay!

Enjoyed our stay. The campsite was fine. The RV site was adequate. Grass was very long, trash pick up not consistent. I think the management works remotely, office hours did not match the website or the posting. Location very remote. All in all a good site. It took a few days to get to know someone. The Ranch Hand, the coffee kiosk, and Opal Sage Bakery and Deli were fun, friendly and reliable. If you like out doors many activities within 2 hr drive.

Perfect room for our quick stop on our trip! Checked in over the phone, room was ready for us when we arrived in the middle of the night!The room was perfectly clean, plenty of towels!Loved staying here! In the morning we saw the lovely lake view outside the door and wanted to stay longer and enjoy the view!

Leanna let us know ahead of time how to check in and if we were to need anything to contact her. We arrived to a very clean room with very comfortable beds and a great view. This is a little gem in Christmas Valley 💎We had visitors from the lake, a little goose family that we dubbed Bob and Gina and they provided some great entertainment. Highly recommend staying here and taking in the scenery.

We stayed in one of the little cabins right on the Lake. It was great watching the birds and other little critters. The staff is only there for a very limited time in the morning until about 11 AM.But this was a great getaway on the artificial Lake. We went to the cowboy dinner tree the first night. Which what's about half an hour away. What was great, was checking out the local restaurants the rest of the weekend.

The picture is of the only trees in the entire park. The grass was overgrown and full of dig feces. The dump ports were too far back as you had to use at least two hoses to reach them. The caretaker was very pleasant. The picnic tables were not in the best of shape. Residents exceeded the speed limit, causing dust clouds. The restrooms and showers were well maintained. Decent value for $35 per night, but I wouldn't recommend it.

This review is for catering by the Lakeside Restaurant, same owner/manager as the Lakeside Motel and RV Park. Shelby and Andrew from the Lakeside catered a 50th birthday party lunch for my husband this month. There were about 75 people in attendance. We had them cater the entire meal and dessert with beef tri-tip, funeral potatoes, green salad, bread, fruit, and strawberry shortcake. The food was amazing - both in taste and presentation. We got many compliments on it. Them catering the meal took a lot of pressure off of me to prepare a meal for that many people. Shelby was easy to work with and helpful too. I'd highly recommend her and the Lakeside for your catering needs.

Vistas are outstanding, the beds have bed upgraded and very comfortable. The room we stayed in (rm 4 pet friendly) was spotless. All the reservations were easy, even when we have to cancel one room due to illness. We will be returning when we can stay longer.Rooms: Nicely remodeled with huge tube. The pet friendly room had all sorts of extras just for the dog.Walkability: You can go out your front door and way any direction for miles of high dessert views and just a couple of blocks to the store and restaurant.

This was a great place to stay! The restaurant has good food at good prices, the staff is friendly, and the rooms are the best part: recently renovated, with great beds and an overall clean and spacious feeling. We especially enjoyed being able to bird-duck-goose watch from our bed, and appreciate the gorgeous wildflowers in bloom on the beach. The location is perfect for any sightseeing in Summer Lake, Christmas Valley (sand dunes and Lost Forest), and Fort Rock.

The staff are super friendly. We were going to get there after the office closed the hotel called us and made sure we were still coming and then made arrangements for us to get our room key after hours also they turned the heat on in the room to warm it up for us before we got there. They also were helpful with directions and how to find places. I can not wait to be back up here again I will be staying here anytime I amIn the area as the were awesome. The place is so cute. I stayed in one of the newly remodeled rooms and was impressed. I had a huge cinnamon roll from the restaurant and was so happy I did. I split it with my girlfriend. It was amazing I could see the a lake from my hotel room door. They were pet friendly as well. Which as a dog person this is great. The hotel is so cute and such a gem in the area. Parking was also super close toMy room so no issues there as well plenty of parking and lots of great views.
