Very clean, conveniently located. Walking distance from our favorite second hand stores, gift shops and eating establishments. Enjoy everytime we come to townNearby activities: Willows antiques(they sell much more then antiques). There spice and seasoning selection is my favorite. Also sell craft materials and much more. Very nice folks.Rustic resale right across the street is a must see.Walkability: All things mentioned are walking distance.Food & drinks: Ranch hand is a tavern has great food and atmosphere. Friendly place. Also across the street

We went to CV to look at a home to purchase. I read all the reviews on this and the other motel..tried to get a room at the one with the lake views but they were full...and now I'm so glad we didn't.We got there well after sundown. We had no reservations. The lady at the front desk was super nice. We talked for quite a while. I found her not only easy going but she has a sense of humor too. The rooms were really clean. Water was hot and plenty of it. They have a full kitchenette. Free coffee in the rooms. We were very comfortable and very impressed. The price was good too. I will definitely be staying here again if need arises.

Just perfect!Headed to Christmas Valley to help out my relative who needed a hand while he completed his move and downsize to a little spot in CV. Saw this motel online and booked it, noticing it just a few short miles from where I needed to be and I'm glad I did.My room was nice and clean and had a neat little kitchenette. My brother was able to come by for some dinner, drinks and a few games of cards the first night I was there and commented on the cool kitchen set up and on how nice-sized the room was. He ended up crashing on one of the spare beds in the room. Speaking of which...The room I had came with 3 beds (1 queen size and 2 twins) which I thought was neat as it would be a great fit for a family or friends traveling together and sharing costs. I had plenty of room for my things and the Queen bed was really, really comfy. I slept like a baby. It was really quiet there even with folks staying in other rooms. Next to me were 2 couples in 2 rooms and we enjoyed some great conversation while we all sat outside-it was really nice. Our rooms all faced West which affords you an awesome view of the sunset!After spending all day moving items from one storage location to another and battling sun, wind and sand, with my brother, I was so happy to get back to my room and take an awesome shower (which had the best water pressure and hot temps!) I felt all the crud from the day disappearing and was able to relax and unwind while I watched TV before I knocked out.Within walking distance is Fast Break which is a gas station, mini market and hot deli, that has some good food and then in the other direction is a little laundromat if you need it and also a new pub called Ranch Hand that has some cold beer on tap, spirits and food (tasty stuff!) A couple miles down the road is a dollar general and not far (in either direction) is at least another restaurant, post office, feed and tack store, etc. Everything you might need is right there. You can either walk to it or spend probably 5-7 minutes driving to it. It's so convenient!If you're passing through the area and need a place to shower and sleep, this is a great location to accommodate that-as they have smaller rooms that are just for that purpose-and if you're like me, spending a few days in town, this totally works!I had a great time meeting the owner and talking with her-she's super cool and does a great job of taking care of the place both inside and out. Aside from the peace and quiet that CV affords and hanging out/helping my brother, this was my other favorite part of my trip-meeting a local business owner and talking with her and enjoying the space she created for folks like me that visit the area. I'll definitely be back.

Comfortable bed for the right price. Pillows were very flat, but I bring my own. While the building and most furnishings were older yet serviceable, the bathroom had been updated and was nice and spacious. There was a spider in a web on the ceiling but the room was clean enough. Single queen bed room had a TV, ceiling fan, small mini fridge, microwave and coffee pot. Door had a knob lock and a chain, but no deadbolt. Parking is right in front of each room. Motel is on the main road and next to restaurants, gas and convenient store. The water has a sulfuric smell, but it’s warm and wet. Would not recommend if you’re snobby about the way your room looks, but this is the place for a good night’s sleep.

Oasis in the middle of nowhere for practically nothing.I called too many times, nervous about not getting a place as Google pinned this as precise center of our journey. If you hate the 70s, keep moving but this place was very clean and tidy and felt like brand new 70s.Bring water for your toothbrush because it might be on a well. Everyone was very nice and helpful. Nextdoor at The Lodge is the best Patty Melt you will ever find.Very glad this place exists.

First of all, my stay was fine. Short notice and they were able to accommodate most of us. The clerk was a little terse but not unfriendly. Unfortunately that wasn't the experience of one of my friends. Despite having one room remaining, she (the clerk) apparently took a dislike to him and said he wasn't welcome. The group of us were certainly not clean (motorcycle / jeep excursion) but he was no worse off than the rest of us. He, and several others in our group that would have preferred a room & shower, ended up camping out. Not cool.As to the room, clean and AC worked. Location is good (near gas station and restaurant). Water smelly and facility worn. Didn't matter. Needed a shower and place to sleep. Fit the bill.

This hotel is cozy and clean. It was a perfect two night stay for my husband, 1 year old, and myself... Especially for being in the middle of the desert! I was weary after reading some of the comments, but we have no complaints! We always travel prepared, so the room not having shampoo wasn't an issue. The owner was very accommodating and after a day of wheeling in the sand dunes, we came back to a clean hotel room with our beds having been made and fresh towels. The water smells like sulfur, but we were happy to have hot showers with great water pressure! This place is worth the $50 a night! We will be back.

It's a small independently owned Motel in basically the middle of nowhere so you shouldn't expect much more than what you get here. The room was pretty much clean as one could hope for, obviously had all fixtures appliances and furniture straight from the 70's, but the staff was friendly enough and the price was right. Beware if you're allergic to cats though, the office and grounds have many cats roaming around so I'm sure this would be a nightmare for someone with cat allergies. For me though, it was just fine to pet a couple of cute kitties before resting my weary head.

Very comfortable bed, very functional room and amenities. Plenty of electric outlets, windows on both sides of room for excellent ventilation, mini-fridge, microwave, tv and wifi. All that plus free cat cuddles! True, the sheets and towels seemed well-worn, but everything was clean. Bring your own drinking water, the water here is a little bit sulfurous. It’s safe but doesn’t taste good. I’d definitely stay here again!

Nice, well maintained older motel with charm. Friendly and helpful owner. Economical rooms. A nice place to Stay in Christmas Valley.Rooms: Rooms have a fridge, microwave, and coffee machine. Rooms with 2 beds also have a stove. Bed was comfy and warm.Food & drinks: Several restraunts and grocery stores are within walking distance of the motel.

I stay here once every 3 months on my way through the area for work. The owners are lovely people trying to provide a service to travelers in desolate area. The rooms are... Your straying in "the middle of nowhere" with a hard working rural community. Nice place but they do have hard water so the smell is "eggy" when the water gets warm. THE PEOPLE ARE AWESOME and down to earth!

Rooms are clean with everything you'd expect to find in a motel room tv is small but usable. They have trailer parking. Room was $60 a night and were comfortable my room had a small coffee pot a 4 burner stove no oven, a microwave and a mini fridge. 2 queenBeds.

Rooms are nice mostly. Building was built in the 60's so some things are a little questionable. Most outlets have 6 plug extension blocks with all kinds of stuff plugged into them. The building's power grid seems a little weak. My phone died on me wgile it was plugged in. My bathroom door did not close and the shower faucet electricuted me when I went to turn the water off. It's nice cheap and quaint but not my first choice.

We appreciated the accommodations in this pretty harsh environment. The bed was comfortable and we were delighted to know there was a stove and small fridge in our room. The room was clean and we had no trouble booking over the phone.

Nice little motel with humble, small, cabin rooms. Always extremely clean though could use some updating. Owner is very kind. We’ve stayed many times and would definitely stay again.

This is a wonderful place to stay. The room was clean and very comfortable. The lady at the front desk was very friendly. I was able to park my motorcycle right outside the door. Close to a nice little grocery store/deli/gas station. It was perfect for me :)

More cozy than a motel in the sticks has any right to be. The beds were heavenly, there was a heater in the bathroom, it had a tiny full kitchen. If there was a closet and a dishwasher I could live there for months.I just went on a road trip through Oregon and this was the best place I stayed the entire time.

We were inquiring about a hotel room note on the door said she would be back at a certain time when she did not return, we could see her so upon speaking with her she was rude and mean. I honestly don't know how this motel gets any business at all when they treat people so rudely.we did not rent a room. I would never give someone this rude even a dime of my hard earned money.

Nicest of people and helped plan our adventures! Close to crack in the ground, cowboy dinner tree, fort rock and a drive to summer lake hot springs. Plenty of parking, clean rooms, but a little dated. Very happy with our spring break stay.

5 stars for cleaness. Minus 5 stars for customer service. The lady in the office seamed put out by any type of conversation and insulted when we asked for an extra packet of coffee. And we found out quickly that no shampoo. I would stay again I would just know not to expect any type of hospitality or even common politeness from the lady that was in the office on 1/30/16.

Nice litte motel to stay at especially if your visiting Crack in the Ground ! I did find a big spider on the wall then a smaller one but whats to be expected? I'd give it 5 stars if the maid were more friendly and if the sink didn't smell like bad sewer water everytime you turned it on. Next to gas station and grocery store !
