My pregnant woman needed to use the bathroom. While she was using it a rude old woman long red hair black glasses crystals on the side her name started with a D(a worker). Decided she was going to bang on the door demanding she comes out. My woman is a very quiet individual started having an anxiety attack in the bathroom because of it. To start making accusations like she was doing something in the bathroom other then using the toilet. To which my woman confused and trying not to brake down came out to tell me what happened. When I went in the store to confront the situation she was laughing about it and decided to get confrontational. Deciding jail wasn't worth an old lady. I came back out to my car to drive my lady home and calm her down. This isn't the first time the employees have been unnecessarily rude for no apparent reason and she was old enough to be our grandmother. And she took pride in being a bully for no apparent reason.

You can buy .99 hot dogs here for 5.99! Enough said. Walked in and walked right out! UPDATE; THIS TEAM PERSON WHO RESPONDS TO THESE REVIEWS WILL NEVER DO ANYTHING TO MAKE THIS STIRE BETTER. IF I LIVED IN THAT AREA I WOULD SAVE A LOT OF MONEY TRAVELING THE 60 MILES ROUND TRIP TO WINCO!!!! ANOTHER EMPLOYEE OWNED BUSINESS!!! THIS STORES PRICES ARE BEYOND RIDICULOUS!!!

Good store. Glad store in employee owned. But prices are high. In small towns prices are always outrageous. Products are sometimes out of date. Probably because not of folks can afford to shop there. This town has a lot poor folks.

Good workers who do their best and a large variety of products. Prices are not as good as Grocery Outlet but this place still has some items they do not, and a deli to boot.They need more workers and I feel terribly for the workers here forced to do way too much. They need a pay raise or a new worker or two to even things out.

They are violating people with there prices. I'm not talking about a few cents either. You have to bag your own groceries because they say they are cheap like a warehouse! They need to be investigated for gouging.

Locals call it shop stupid. Staff is often rude. They understaff, so lines are long. Prices are high, and at least one employee will steal from customers given the chance.

I have not had very good experience with this store, however it may also be the towns fault. Many of the items here had been spoiled on shelf's in various different sections of the store. There are also many boxes around the store on shelf's left open by customers. However many times that this had happened something was done as soon as they were notified. New update 1, 2024- store hasn't really changed but quality has drastically dropped on the produce, mainly fruits. Most fruits here are nasty gathering flys or are severely bruised.

The prices are too high it’s like ripping off the people around! the same product in the next grocery outlet 2.99$ and here the same item is 8$ unbelievable! everything is double up prices or even more Walmart hot dog sausage 1.99 while in Walmart. It is here 7.99 can’t believe it,I wouldn’t recommend anyone going here someone has to do something to reporting them that flipping prices so often!

Prices are way too high.They take advantage of being the only supermarket in Cave Junction, sometimes the prices are twice as high as other stores in Grants Pass.

Shop Smart is very over priced!The employees are not very friendly, especially in the Deli. I've been treated very rude, like I'm such a bother to them when I need help with deli items. They should be happy to help, and they're not! This makes me feel bad when I need more than one item.I guess they hate their job. Customer service is not there. I think the employees need better training... (Like learn to make the customer feel welcomed.) I would definitely spend a lot more money if I was greeted with a smile and felt welcome.I have experienced this several times.

Everything is very expensive. The owner takes advantage of the high prices. Absurd. They give the excuse that the price is high because of recent inflation. LIE. PRICES HAVE ALWAYS BEEN ABSURD. Employees are not happy. And I don't blame them. It's the system. Always trying to vampirize people. Product prices are high and employees are likely to receive low salaries. You cannot expect smiles from employees who are not valued within the company. Sad reality.

I still think the price is here astronomical for way the hell out in Cave Junction.On the flip side the customer service has always been great! The ladies in the deli we're sweet enough to make me a gluten-free sandwich.Thank you so much for honoring my dietary needs.

Literally the worst store I've ever shopped at and I've shopped at stores in more than 20 states. Terrible price gouging, always under staffed, store is filthy and smells awful, horrible selection, produce department is just nasty, broken shopping carts, the deli department is just a bad joke. The owner has adopted a predatory business model, no different than a slum lord. The only positive thing I have to say about this atrocious store is that the over worked and under paid employees are mostly friendly. I noticed the owner trying to blame inflation and supply chain issues for the price gouging and putrid selection but they are a liar, the store has been this way for many years. Management would have been fired years ago but obviously they're just carrying out the owners despicable business model.

Good store for rural locals, campers and travelers when time does not permit driving further. Most items are available; folks are pleasant. Prices are somewhat higher; but so is the cost of gas needed to travel to a larger town.

We were looking for inflatables to float on the river and this place had the best selection. Some were way over priced, like double the online or Walmart price.

Ok, I worked 20yrs ago for Shop Smart, or C&K, or Ray's actually own it. I believe Ray's still owns the grocery store chain.They are trying to get stock in, as with other merchant's at this time. We shop here often. Lots of times they have items other merchant's have in Cave Junction. They have good sales, and the club card is something you should definitely consider.
