really welcoming and polite. thy make youfeel at home when your shopping. their not annoying. theyll ask you if your finding everything and they will leave you alone till you ask for help. they are doing there best they get treated badly by customers that are just traveling through town. so id say there customer service is pretty damn good.

I love this place. As portland has become gentrified it is wonderful to be in a store that feels like it has a bit of the past. Really friendly staff. Good selection of the basics. This place is a gem and I always stop here on the way to the gorge for a bit of nostalgia about the good old days

Nicest lil country store you'll Evar locate!!!!!?! Rainestestest spot in Oregon.......?. At least Rainer than my Adopted Grandfather's Third/3rd Homestead located on the Extreme Eastern Edge/Ending of Mt. Hood Flats about 1.7 miles NE from Mt. Hood, Oregon 97041 of the 🇺🇲.....!. God Blessed Us Americans but we are having to roll our selves up and Dig Inn....

First time and last time stopping here. Just stopped for some ibuprofen on way thru gorge. Found what I needed fine. But spent almost ten minutes looking for an employee to ring it up. Three other customers came in after me and ended up helping look for the employee too. Someone finally came out of the back. They were not friendly or apologetic. Another cashier showed up just as we were being rung up. If I wasn't an honest person I could've just walked out without paying. They maybe a small store and may be short staffed but they should've had some one on the floor to help customers.

It’s the only market in town so you take it as it is. Their craft beers were pretty wiped out. Vegi and fruit section kind of beat. Meat looked decent. Check out dates. We bought some cheese sauce Sept 25 and it was expired May 22. They are also the liquor store so that’s convenient. Clerks are nice enough.

Every time I come here it just proves even more how awful of a market it is. I wish there was a different store for the town because who has the gas to go to to HR or Gresham every time we need something? No price tags for half the store. Just bought two things that had price tags on them, looked at my receipt when I got home and both the items were 2 bucks each more than the price tag said. Absolutely ridiculous. Watch the items as they ring out. They need to start getting called out.

Great local grocery store also has the liqour store built in which is super rare in Oregon. Small town small town vibe.. if you come to return aluminium cans I suggest elsewhere since the can return machine is broke down as much as McDonald's ice cream machine

Manager was less than helpful, infact he straight lied to my face and stole my money. When I asked for resolution he gave me bad answers, lied again, then blamed me when I didn't know how his 'system' worked. If it wasn't for an amazing customer in line, I'd still be stuck in Cascade Locks. The manager doesn't reflect our values nor our community. Shame on you, Sir, SHAME!

Great little market and friendly service. Clean store with a large selection of fresh, canned, and frozen items. Has a great selection of choices in food selections. Camping needs also. Carries good amount of over counter medicines and health needs. Has clean fresh daily meat choices. Some ready made sandwiches and salads for that eat now snack. Prices are very fair for being located in a small town.

The new owner isn't like choe and he is not very people friendly. I was there to do cans and I had my id and my rig had washington plates still but he didnt believe me even tho he saw my id that I was from Oregon and called the bottle drop people and turned in my plates. I called too and turned him in for not having the machine up and going much. It's always down and he refused to pay people to run the can machine

It is a quaint, clean and well stocked market. The prices are about 15% higher than other stores in the bigger more populated towns. If your vacationing in any of the surrounding campgrounds convenience is the word and I am ok with paying the little extra. The store is clean, has most of everything you need but maybe not the variety but that's ok to then you don't have as many decisions, ha!!

Very friendly courteous staff! The two gals on August 26th deserve a raise they're awesome! very helpful. Great selection of most items at this small store and prices are good comparable to a large town Safeway. Really good beer selection! Great local produce! Will happily return

Tiny town grocery that exceeded expectations. Needed supplies for a dinner back in our hotel room. This place had everything we needed, including a good beer and liquor selection. Some sketchy customers roaming around... but it's that kind of town.

One self serve bottle return for deposit. Some things are expensive but mostly fair. Friendly staff. Cameras everywhere and video shown for all to see. Very clean well stocked .wine beer 5th of what you want. Fresh produce. I found good priced meat and a % off meat because of the date. All employees seem to be happy cuz they are at work. I got a welcome coming in the store and a c ya later have a great day as i was leaving. Reminds me of the small town mentality where everyone knows everyone. I've been to this store at least 25 times and each time its the same great treatment

After making a purchase here we decided to grab a coffee across the street, but the cashier ran out and asked us to leave the parking lot, because they need to reserve parking spots for future customers. The lot was widely available with 30-40 spots open and it was 88°F outside. Seems quite absurd and cold.

The store has changed owners times in the last 2 years that would be fine. Except it is one of the dinghy,un clean d store's I've been into.. some of the employees aren't the brightest but this day and age did get what you can for help.. they're always out of everything.. somebody needs to tell them that one produce is past date and slimy you can't mark it down and resell it same thing with meat because the expiration date is coming out doesn't mean you can freeze it and then pull it out and put a half off later.. you will literally find rotting produce for sale..

Columbia Market is the ONLY market in town. It's 19 miles to Hood River, 28 to Troutdale. Therefore prices reflect the location. At 5he dame time they do have pretty much everything you need. I did get some excellent cherries! My advice...stock up at the Safeways as you come through the larger towns. (You HAVE to come through the larger towns...there's no other way to get there, unless you're a thru hiker on the PCT!)

I was a loyal customer for about 8 years but the current owner Danny I went in tonight to go and get some dinner and I was looking through the freezer door I opened it to make my decision and he came up to me and rudely replied I am not trying to refrigerate my whole store. If you want to be a good owner of a business in Cascade Locks don't treat your customers like poop I was very dissatisfied how I was treated. If you're looking for groceries I would recommend going to the Shell across the street you will be treated a lot better

Good variety of things and you can also buy your booze for your vacation right here. Very large crew here in other words lots of different checkers stockers and baggers. One fantastic employee that's very helpful and will go the extra for you is Eric Starr

The staff deserve 5 stars, everyone is always friendly, helpful, and courteous. I always walk out the door smiling because of the employees (no, none of them are my friends or relatives! Lol) There's almost always a great deal to be found on alcohol and cigarettes.That being said, everything else is incredibly overpriced, the fresh produce and meat always look old, the lighting in the store is weird and hurts my eyes, the entire feel of the store is offputting, and there's consistently issues with the can recycling machine.If the staff wasn't so awesome I would give the store 2 stars, but seriously, they all have excellent customer service/people skills.
