Incredible local shop - Eric was running the fly shop when I was there. He was incredibly helpful with tips and recommendations for fly fishing the river. The shop is fully stocked with any fly fishing gear you need along with wader rentals for those who need it. I cannot recommend camping nearby, fishing the river, and feeding yourself at the camp sherman store! The burritos and sandwiches were delicious.

Not kid friendly... I was very disappointed with our experience at this store because we love visiting the Metolius river and we always make sure to stop in for pastries and Camp Sherman merchandise. During our latest visit my 4 year old had an accident on the sidewalk while on his way to the restroom. He was with my wife when it happened and they both worked together to get water, clean up the mess, and apologized to the young staff member who unfortunately stepped in the puddle on his way out the back door of the building. An older gentleman, who I assume is an owner or manager because he referred to the store as "my building" took it upon himself to berate both of them (he did not witness the event) until they were both in tears. Unaware of what happened, I came from the fly shop in the back to the front of the store to purchase fly fishing supplies when he confronted me, insulted me about "how I choose to raise my family," and made accusations that my child ran through his workshop to get to the back of the building. He did not. We got to spend the next several hours of our vacation helping our child process his experience with "the angry man at the store." Honestly, the rest of the staff were very friendly and I really enjoyed my conversation with the gentleman in the fly shop. It's too bad that one individual can ruin it for everyone. We will not be returning.

Amazing sandwiches and a great little store! They have everything you might forget on your trip and a good bit besides. Loads of fishing related items so a good place to stock up once you loose all your Flys!Nearby activities: Loads to do, from fishing the river to scenic hikes and fishable lakes.Food & drinks: Sandwiches are amazing

I have been here a few times and everyone is always helpful. Very convenient items and location. Great if you forgot something or realized you needed it too late while camping nearby. A bathroom is a short distance awayFood & drinks: Good sandwiches

Love this fly shop! The staff were super helpful - informing me of current/active patterns, good locations, new rigs to try and educating me on how to take good care of the trout we caught, so that others could enjoy them for years to come. You could tell they were passionate about the sport and loved the Met.We were super impressed and appreciative with the amount of time and information they provided us.The staff diagrammed out some new techniques for me to try with my euro nymph rig to get the flys down fast into the deep pools - and after getting humbled 3 times prior by “the Met” once I got the insights and advice from the camp Sherman shop - I am happy to report I had two of the best days of my fishing career hauling in two double digit fish days in the Met!!I am so appreciative of their passion and advice, especially on how to care for the fish since I put it to good practice on those epic days. You can’t go wrong stopping by this shop and picking up some flies and pro tips - especially if you want to better understand one of the most technical and challenging rivers in our area - The Met.Camp Sherman fly shop and their staff are one of the best in the area and definitely worth your time. Tight lines!

It was so cool there! They have a store full of everything you could want for fishing and camping! I bought a really nice white hat there! I love it so much because they are right near the Metolius River and fish hatchery that I love to go see!

This shop has gone so downhill, it's extremely disappointing. My mom and I used to love their food and t-shirts. We would literally plan our trip around being able to get food from this store... Yeah not anymore. They used to have the best burgers, now they are disgusting and made with frozen meat that is even worse than mcdonalds. The sandwiches used to be so ridiculously good, now they are mediocre. Everything is absurdly overpriced. They also used to have awesome shirts/jackets with amazing artwork. Now they have some ugly shirts with weak graphic designs instead of actual artwork. My mom and I will not be coming here again. The only reason I gave two stars is because the staff is very nice here still, otherwise it would have been one star.

Love this little store tucked into Camp Sherman. They are friendly and carry an amazing variety for a little store. There is also a deli and the brownies they sell from Sisters Bakery are excellent. It situated right across from the Metolious River so you can sit there and watch the river or sit on their deck with picnic benches. Worth the detour even if it isn't your destination

I stopped for lunch after hiking around Suttle Lake. You find a fly fishing shop, baked goods, sandwiches, souvenirs, drinks, groceries and almost everything in this old fashioned general store.I ordered a grilled chicken breast sandwich with lettuce, tomatoes and a mango smoothie. It was busy and I sat down at a picnic table near the pick-up window outside. The chicken was cooked just rigjt with a fresh bun. The mango smoothie was not too sweet and had good taste.Breakfast items were also on the board.A hiking trail for the Metolius River was across the street from the store.Parking is not easy to find at this busy store.Located off of Hwy 20 on the road to Sisters.A nice place for lunch, a hike or anything else you might need.

I was blown away by this camp store. They went way beyond the basic necessities of camping. They had vegan cashew cheese! They had basic brands plus more upscale health food choices in just about everything. They had local craft beers, cannabis infused olive oil, interesting snacks, vegetarian frozen food... They had many things we bought in Bend that we could have bought there. Yes it was expensive, but it's a camp store, you'd expect it to be pricey.

I have spent several hundred dollars at this store over the last 2 days and I went to buy a $3.00 REDBULL and they wanted to add $.50 cents to it for the credit card use. An additional 16%! I’m a retailer and credit card fees are a part of business. Stock up before coming to Camp Sherman as these guys will rob you blind.

Super rad. We are event vendors who camped at Camp Sherman for a wedding, and all the staff were great. They have gas, ice, food, beer, a large fly fishing department and extremely kind staff. Grab a coffee and walk down the riverside trail in either direction ☕🚶🏞️

Had your Breakfast Sandwich today! Oh WOW, wish I could get one like it here in Sherwood, Can't figure out what extra spice you put on it, but oh was so flavorful. Lots of meat and eggs and at just the right temp. Keep it up!

Everything you need when out in the forest. Wide selection of items for such a small place. The espresso and wine are a god send for those of us who prefer glamping. The store is clean and well put together and the clerks are super nice people.

Awesome little store with everything you might need. It has such an old time feel about it, that just gives you a great sense of warmth and simpler times. The folks there running the store are wonderful and very helpful. If only I knew how to fly fish, they had thousands of flies! The anglers dream.......🤩 🤗

Rodger and Kathy White are the best, very good people, this little store may be out of the way but the selection from deli, to items in the store are impressive, gas, propane, fishing supplies/knowledge, camping gear, clothing and lodging, and at a very reasonable price. This store also offers, in season, wild mushrooms (morels and rainbow Chanterelles) and huckleberries

BEST FOOD in the area! Go get one of the sandwiches and a latte. If you're interested in fly-fishing go to the fly shop in the back of the store and ask for Dan Marchky. He's a great guide and teacher!

Great little store and deli plus fly fishing shop. Pleasant outdoor seating. Helpful staff. 50 cent popcorn. 1950ies antique gas pumps. A blast from the past. A must stop in the Metolious River recreational area.

Went in to make a token purchase for parking in the store lot while looking at the river, but so much fun we left after spending $88! What a fun place...and celebrating 100 years of business.

A very well equipped store, stocking everything from fly fishing equipment to souvenirs, camp cooking staples to respectable Brunellos, firewood bundles, gas and more. If you’re pitching a tent or renting a cabin along the Metolius, they’ve got what you need.

The store in Camp Sherman is nearly 100 years old, and combines a wonderfully authentic aura of times past with absolutely everything a modern human might possibly need while staying in the Metolius River area, whether it be t-shirts and tourist souvenirs, a decent latte, sandwich or donut, or any kind of essential camping and fishing gear. Clearly, the people who run it know their audience. I thought it was endlessly fun and I can see why it's the hang out spot for the whole area.

I love this store and I love the people. This is one of those places on this Earth that I hope never changes. It's so beautiful in Camp Sherman. People are friendly. Why can't the whole world be like this?
