There is a Safeway closer to our house but we ALWAYS take the time to go here because the store is clean, produce selection is awesome and the employees are the best! Went to get ice cream at 6pm on Friday night but forgot to load digital coupon. No worries; our cashier, Emily, asked us if we had a moment to wait and we did while she got out her personal phone to hook us up with the digital coupon that saved us $12!! Thank you Emily you're the best!! Keep up the good work. Great store all the way around!

Just went for 3 things 1 of them didn't ring up at member price and being at self checkout an employee had to walk all the way back to verify price -- he asked 1st if I had "clipped it" & I said "NO, because it is not a clipped deal" it was price adjusted BUT what should have been a quick run in & rum out made me want to just run away and leave the 3 things there!😂To be Honest this is one of very few times this has happened and it was a system error but to happen when one is in a rush just over emphasizes that oopsie!

This Safeway is always clean and everyone is so friendly. I like their selection. Produce is choice. The deli and the seafood counters are always wonderful.

The game is afoot for getting groceries these days. You really have to work for it if you want the discounts. Need your phone and the apps and then scan codes, and then it doesn't work. I ran around this store for 30 minutes, getting milk and ice cream. The app did not recognize the codes. Took the paper and the codes up to the cashier showing the prices. She couldn't get them to work either 😕. Had to manually adjust them. She was really helpful but it shouldn't be this hard to get two items or to shop period. When I got home, I rechecked the codes. Not there. Went to Albertsons app. There they were. Mergers should actually merge. Ridiculous. I'll go to Winco, no games, just real prices.

I have been shopping at this store since it's opening. Regrettably now I must double check my receipts as most of the time it's inaccurate. I was initially charged over $70. After the cashier utilzed my personal phone for the calculator my bill came to $30.00. Overrides and a call to supervisor and people backed up in line behind me. A real hassle. The "mistakes" are always in Safeway's favor. At times it seems like no accident. What really bothered me though is the way the frustrated cashier snapped at a fellow employee who I know has worked there for over ten years. The nicest lady in the store!I am writing this in November of 2023 regrettably Safeway hasn't changed anything about the way they try to rip people off I constantly battle the machine giving accurate amounts that I owe for example. At this point I honestly believe they overcharge people and just hope that the majority of people don't notice because it happens so frequently at least at this store . It is a terrible thing they are doing to people.

Went to Safeway tonight and the bakery was closed. I saw an employee in the back and asked her if she could grab a cake for me. She was already clocked out but graciously grabbed the cake and even took time to get us extra decor for the cake. Shout out to Teri B for the wonderful customer service. All the while not even on the clock

Typical Safeway Quality of Groceries, Staff, Neatness & Cleanliness we've all come to value and Expect!!!!!?! Not many "'Walking'/'Meth'heads around here and it was almost Relaxing in the Landscaping of the store, parking lot & surrounding area....... Haircuts, Restaurants and other lil shops/stores around here too.......

Tammy the cashier might need some retraining obviously a seasoned employee .. she bragged about how much she lovedddd bagging groceries and how it’s the favorite part of her job she’ll even back her friends things when she’s not working. The customer in front of me got great service.When I came through with an Uber eats order I wasn’t offered anything to carry it with!? I spoke loud and clear and let her know I wasn’t offered anything? She didn’t reply I continued to the NEXT register and bagged it myself. I went to the bathroom and by the time I came back she was bagging the next customers stuff. I delivered my order and immediately called and spoke with Coby/Koby and let him know that experience was my worst ever in a Safeway.

I was in there on Sunday around noon and came in with swimming shorts and a sports bra because we were getting stuff picked up before going to the river. A few of your employees were making unwanted remarks thinking I couldn't hear them. Also had a psycho customer of yours screaming at the top of her lungs regarding my outfit and I followed her out of the store and let her know how I felt. This was absolutely unacceptable ESPECIALLY coming from the employees. I will be making a formal complaint. I use to work and live out there. Completely unprofessional in retail/customer service. Please have a conversation with your employees, this is not model behavior for Safeway.

A return grocery store for me to buy a produce and infrequently shop there clearance corner. Overall have had some of the best customer service, finding specific items, buying money orders, and going through the self service checkout. The services still require store staff to ensure quality and price accuracy.

The checker I have had a few times is cruel in a passive aggressive way. I told her I had a back injury and needed my $89 of groceries packed light and she crammed everything into 2 bags and told me to pick them up from the bottom as the handles would not hold. I have never experienced this before with any employee at any Safeway. I have decided to go further to Fred Meyers in hopes of being treated better.

Quiet, clean, and organized. I’ve never been there and had a negative experience with a staff member. The ladies who work at the Starbucks inside are all very nice, and if you’re into the Starbucks merchandise there are plenty of cups and mugs at this location! Huge parking lot there is room to park trailers on the sides of the store or the lot.

We get what we need and get out. The staff is great, but quality of produce is less than desired in my eyes. Same with the meat. But if you need a quick go to for ANYTHING they usually will have it!

Shopping at the Damascus Safeway is convenient because it is close to our home but terribly frustrating. Safeway pushed customers to use their mobile App. However every time I am there I am given a different reason why it doesn’t work.1). Cashier: Why would I expect the store internet to update my account as I am shopping. You need to do all that online before you come to the store. Me: So why do you have specials requiring me to scan your items? The clerk walked away.2). I scan your sticker, it does not reflect the sale when I am checking out. The clerk tells me I need to go back to all the products I scanned and take a picture of it to prove what the price is. So I restate back to the clerk, so you basically want me to go do my shopping again so I can take pictures of your prices to prove what you have listed as a sales price? Clerk: well how else am I going to know the right price and then walks away.3). The women in front of me in line being checked out has the same issue (#2) that I have had. She is about done with it all also and refuses to run back through the store. She ends up lodging her complaint with someone at the courtesy counter. While being checked out, I get to listen to the cashier bash the customer.I could go on but I hope you understand my complaints and frustrations. Like many, I work full time, have kids and grandkids that I help with. I just don’t have the want, will, desire or time to clock in and become an unpaid employee to shop at your store.

Absolutely fantastic fried chicken in fact it looks so good I took advantage of the 16-piece special. The young man that helped me was most meticulous and picked out really good pieces for me knowing that I was eyeballing him. This is a great little store the staff works very very hard.

Went for Chinese food around 6pm on Friday, and they were already out of several things and all the food looked like it had been sitting awhile. Unfortunately we still decided to get some for dinner and found everything was super dry when we got home, the breaded chicken was completely devoid of moisture and had to be tossed. This store really needs some standards how long food can just sit baking under a heat lamp.

I always commended Safeway for the quality of their meat, but...the last few times that we have purchased your ground beef it has been tasteless and loaded with water. Very disappointed that we are being deceived when paying such higher prices for groceries now.

What can you say about a grocery store? Clean, friendly and helpful staff, a store brand with quality, and as reasonable as food store costs can be...yep, you can put check marks on all, plus a great produce dept, deli, bakery and pharmacy

Great food. We got a fried chicken family meal for dinner. Fed us all and tastes great. We just bought some extra potato salad and rolls. Otherwise it's a great deal and a filling amount of food. Also picked up dads prescriptions while we were there.
