The vet visit was a kind, educational, empathetic, and encouraging experience. I am satisfied and pleased with the discounts thru their Petco Vet services plan "Vital Care Rewards." They have good deals on food and litter, too. If you want to save money, I highly suggest joining their program.

The hammies are sharing one single hideout in a tiny space. They looked sick and dirty. Also, there was no rodent block for them. No proper wheel. The pellets are all green, which hamsters do not like at all. The piggies are also in a tiny place. Piggies looked sad with crusty eyes. There are too many mices in a tiny enclosure. One tiny saucer with poop smeared. The ferret was lonely. I'm not talking about betta fishes as you can already guess their condition. I asked about the tiny place and why they are keeping hammies together? Hammies are solitary animals. They said that there isn't enough space for them. Then why do you bring more than you can house? Petsmart these days does far better job regarding animal keeping. Petco is expensive and don't take care of their animals. Extremely sad and worried about the animals there. Why do you guys keep animals if you can't even give them half of the bare minimum? Not even the cheapest rident blocks? Please give them some love and respect the animals. This business is supposed to be about the animals. Please give them a better chance.

the worker did not know about the first bites i needed . he said that you did not stock it but i found it .. and showed him where it was at.. also i am very displeased with your open tank at 50% off . on line it states the prices so i got a 5.5. tank went to the check out it came up 48.00 then half of that.. that not what it is advertised at online. also my account has been shut down so i cannot order off it... i am just very disappointed in petco

This Petco store's grooming place did me and my pup wrong a number of times. First, they left a wound on my pup's tummy after the first grooming. I gave them another chance after a few months. I booked again and on the day of the appointment we were sent home because i gave my pup calming pills as he has anxiety. I understand them being cautious about that but it was not clearly stated at all that pups shouldn't take calming pills when I booked the appointment. It was so frustrating. I believe they changed that in their booking site now. After a while, I was ready to give them another chance (just because of their location) and lo and behold, when we showed up for my pup's grooming appointment, they said they cancelled the appointment and that they were trying to call me and left a VM. I DID NOT RECEIVE ANY CALL OR ANY VM AT ALL.Never again. I do not recommend their grooming department at all.

I've been taking my dog to this petco for years for grooming and have always been mostly pleased, a solid 4 star. Today, I got back a wet dog after an appointment that lasted one hour 45 minutes. Usually it's a quick hour at the most. I understand they were having some equipment problems but management needs to address that pronto and they need to minimize the number of grooming appointments as well until the equipment issues are dealt with. Mark was our groomer and while I raised concerns at check-in about my dog's fear of men, everything seemed to have gone well. I was assured by the two women at check-in that they would do her instead, there was no follow through on this obviously. My dog didn't come back smelling like the lavender calm and soothe I pay $26 extra for, just wet dog, but she rarely does anyway and I'm guessing that the "extras" are just gimmicks and won't be getting those anymore. For that matter, I will be exploring some other nearby options for grooming. Best part of today's visit, how nice Mark was when he returned my dog to me. Mark's nice-ness and ability to overcome my dog's fear of men earns the visit an extra star.

Went in for cat litter, store had pallets everywhere, items piled up blocking aisles. There was not enough room to move around freely and shop. Left without purchasing anything due to the situation

I am giving this location a 4.5 star. If I may provide a constructive criticism. When I used the bathroom, there were no paper towels to wipe my hands after washing them, so I had to wipe them on my leggings which is not ideal. Also, there were no toilet seat covers, so I had to improvised and use a small amount of toilet paper to put on the toilet seat. The bathroom was also dirty it had litter on the floor. Please periodically check the bathroom to ensure it's well-stocked and clean.I stopped by at this location 01/07/24 today on my way home from running errands in Hillsboro. The store associates are friendly and helpful. I needed to buy a couple of canned food for my cats, since my autoship order was delayed. Fortunately, the brand of canned food is in-stock and it was also on sale for $1.48 each total amount for 12 cans $17.76, plus $2.00 donation to petco foundation is $19.76. This is my first time shopping at this petco location and it's well-stocked and organized. I will definitely come back to shop at this location again if I am ever in town running errands. Kudos to Rose the cashier that rang my items for purchase and for price checking the 2 cat oval mats. Keep up the awesome customer service!

never adopt from here. i got a python here and she died within a few months. she was sick a few weeks after we got her. they don’t know how to properly care for pets. will not help with this either.

Took my dog here for the first time to get groomed and he ended up getting both his ears cut, that caused some minor bleeding. The groomer Josie let me know it had happened and petco offered to have my dog seen by vet. He is overall okay- but I would just be cautious of grooming services here. My dog has been groomed before and he has never been hurt in the process.

The salesperson was very friendly and talkative. I enjoyed visiting. I do wish you guys had the right kind of cat litter. I always end up buying it from Amazon because it's never in stock at your store. Arm & Hammer Cloud Control Platinum Multi-Cat Clumping Cat Litter with Hypoallergenic Light Scent, 14 Days of Odor Control, 18 lbs. I'd be at Petco every week if you guys had this cat litter. It's the best. The rest are just filled with too much perfume.

Rather good Petco. Store associates are friendly and helpful. The only real problem is the lack of employees. Always seems to be understaffed. But regardless the staff that is there is helpful as they can be.

Kaihla was incredible! It was our first time bringing our schoodle in since moving to Hillsboro from Beaverton. She was so kind, warm, and transparent with the service we wanted. Our dog came out so beautiful. Kaihla is wonderful and is our new groomer. Thank you for taking such good care of our girl

Took my cat in for deshed brush out, sanitary shave and nail clipping and was very satisfied! The groomers were very kind and thorough with me before starting (which I appreciated). They did a great job and when she came out - my cat looked better and happier than I would of ever expected. Will definitely come back!

Tried to take my dog here for grooming but they turned her away because of her age! What kind of thing is that to say I mean I understand why since they explained their was a death at another building of an older dog. But they had nothing posted of this not taking any older dogs nor did I receive a call or anything about it. As much as the store manager wanted to express that they did call me to cancel my appointment I received nothing. It doesn’t change the fact that all dogs are different and some handle the stress better than others. I will never go back to Petco or promote it to any of my family or friends.

Do not recommend their grooming services. My appointment was cancelled last minute with a text, did not help reschedule or apologize, and when I called and wanted to rebook over the phone they booked me for a bath only and not the whole grooming services. I was told on the day that they didn’t have enough time to do a haircut, so had to cancel again. Not going back, very unprofessional staff.
