Absolutely wonderful place. My fur baby enjoyed her time and after a 3 day trip, the boarding was amazing. They sent photos and communicated the whole time. When she came back to me, it was with excitement. I could tell how caring they were with how they described her personality perfectly and even as she walked with them back to me she was happy.I’m not usually a fan of boarding my little partner in crime, but I had full confidence in the services here.I understand some of the 1 star reviews, but I really think it has more to do with dog’s personality and not the care provided. UPDATE!Out of concern for other’s pets, I want to continue to share. Two years ago Cooper Mountain Kennels lost our beloved cat, Percy. We just left him alone for the first time since then! Thankfully we returned to find him safe and sound with his new caregivers. The experience, however, was not without issue. Percy was traumatized by his previous experience with CMK and this trauma remains evident even until today.Do not kennel your pet with Cooper Mountain Kennels.ORIGINAL REVIEW:Our beloved cat, Percy, went missing from Cooper Mountain Kennels on Friday 8/9/22. We received a call on Saturday 8/10 to inform us that Percy managed to escape from his kennel and then clawed his way out of the juncture of ventilation tube in a window. (Pictures available upon request.)The owner of Cooper Mountain Kennels, Doug, took full responsibility for losing our cat. He admitted that the latch on the kennel was loose and that the ventilation tube (through which Percy escaped) was not securely attached to the window.We are heartbroken. We actively looked around Cooper Mountain Kennels for one week, but had no luck finding Percy. The owner allowed us access to the space and worked with us, meeting us at the kennel so we could look. He also placed cameras, food, and live traps repeatedly.While the owners of Cooper Mountain Kennels were very supportive in the search for Percy, the truth is that Percy never should have been able to escape. We kenneled our cat because we wanted to keep him safe, and because of poor conditions in their facility, Cooper Mountain Kennels made it possible for our cat to escape. (Additionally, while the owners did acknowledge fault in this matter, at no point did Doug apologize or express any remorse.)After about a week, I retrieved Percy’s items from Cooper Mountain Kennels. I asked that Doug notify us if they have any sightings or any additional information. At that time, I strongly suggested that they make the repairs necessary to ensure that no other cats could escape and that no other families would need experience the pain we have endured. Doug assured me that they would. I have no proof that these repairs have been made or that Cooper Mountain Kennels is a safe place to board any pets.Percy remains missing. We have posted information on Nextdoor and Facebook and other social media platforms. We have connected with Bonnie L. Hays shelter and veterinarians. We’ve canvassed neighborhoods, posted multiple fliers, and have gone door to door in nearby neighborhoods. Unfortunately, we have had no luck in finding our cat.We desperately miss Percy. My daughter is devastated. Cooper Mountain Kennels had one job to do--to keep our cat safe. And they failed miserably.

We absolutely LOVE Cooper Mountain Kennels!We have a BIG puppy with some separation anxiety and we were so grateful when we learned we could put him and his older sister in the same room. They send us pictures of our babies on walks and they always look so happy! They are great at communicating, easy to work with, and super flexible! We had a cancelled flight and they extended our stay with no issue.Annie and Beau love it there and we will continue to use CMK :)

This was the first time I ever used a boarding service for my pets, and I was so happy with their service! They were super polite, attentive, and responsive. When Cora, my cat, wasn’t eating much they called me right away and offered to try wet food and treats to increase her appetite. My two dogs get separation anxiety when apart from each other so I was so glad I was able to put them in a room together! They also email you picture updates of your animals which was amazing for me who was missing my fur babies very much. Thank you!!

I don't have any experience with places like this, but I will say the staff was very friendly, my kitten seemed well cared for, and they were easy to work with. When I wasn't able to receive the email photo updates they even found another way to provide me almost daily photos of my furr baby. It was frustrating when I thought they weren't sending updates, but they really went the extra mile to find a way that worked for me. I don't know what they use for sanitizing, but I can say I was glad the smell my kitten and his belongings came back with didn't last too long after picking him up. (About a day) I would use them again if needed. My mother who is pretty hard to please was also happy with their services, and her cat also seemed well cared for.

Our experience with Cooper Mountain Kennel has been incredibly positive. We have two big dogs that were rescues and they can be a real handful. I tried numerous kennels prior and it was miserable for the dogs and they often came back in really bad shape. A family member suggested Cooper Mountain and it's amazing how positive the difference is. My 90lb dog who had a pretty rough early life, doesn't do well with strangers, but he loves the staff there. It was really surprising to see how he connected with staff. It's obvious how much they care about the well-being of the animals they care for.Before I had these dogs I never would have understood why it was important to find the right kennel, but this has made traveling so much easier; I wish I'd found them sooner. The staff even sends regular text/email photo updates, so we get to see them on walks or out in the yard. We have to drive a long ways to get to Cooper Mountain Kennel, but it is well worth the extra trip!

This place will text/email you photos of your pup while you are away! It is a lot easier to leave my dog when I can see her having fun and playing at Cooper Mountain. My dog is happy when I drop her off and when I pick her up (almost doesn't want to leave). She seems to really like the owner and they are willing to follow her specific feeding instructions.

The Team At This Kennel Was Very Helpful During My Unfortunate Times. They Kept My Dogs Longer Then Planned & Remained In Communication. They Sent A lot Of Pictures Of Them And Took Great Care Of My Pups. They Worked With Me To Take Care Of My Situation And Did It Without Hesitation. I Am Very Very Grateful For Them As I Felt Like I Almost Had To Give Up One Of My Dogs Bcuz I Couldn’t Afford The Additional Unplanned Days They Both Stayed. We have been our dogs at CMK for about 12 years. All of our dogs over the years have loved staying here. When we bring them home after boarding for a few days or even a few weeks, they are very happy and full of energy. The CMK staff truly love these animals. They email us photos almost on a daily basis of our doggy playing and having a great time. We travel alot and always consider Cooper Mountain Kennels first for our dog boarding.

I took my dog to cmk Over the 4th of July weekend. He came home so sick with explosive diarrhea, and very lethargic. My other dog who wasn’t boarded there became very ill as well. I took stool samples to their vet and they both have Giardia. What really upsets me is that per the review from 3weeks ago, CMK KNEW about giardia being in their kennel before my dog came. Both dogs are miserable. I have been cleaning up diarrhea for a week, plus have had to pay expensive vet bills and had to take time off work to get them there. I would never recommend CMK to anyone. I have called CMK and am awaiting a return call from the owner..

I own two dogs who do not get along - they are separated at all times. We brought them to CMK Pet Hotel & Daycare for two nights of boarding. When I scheduled this service I added on grooming for both dogs because it seemed like it was such a great deal - only $40 per dog. I reserved two separate rooms for the dogs and noted when scheduling the service online that they were not to be together or to be with any other dogs at any time. I did not ask for daycare and did not assume there would be a reason for them to be around any other dogs, but I still explicitly said this "just in case" because mistakes in this area may not be trivial.When I dropped them off (one at a time) I told the man who received them they were not to go to daycare, that neither of them should ever be with any other dogs, and they were not to be together. Yet when I picked them up I met the same man explaining to me that they had gotten into a fight in grooming and Paloma had a small cut on her ear.I then spoke to a woman who said she witnessed the fight - that she came to get the dogs to be groomed, that they were loose together in the daycare area and they started to fight and she quickly separated them. She was never told they should not be together. I do not know who initially left them alone in a room together. I then spoke to a groomer who said there was a second fight in the grooming area that she broke up using a water hose.My smaller dog came out with bites all over her face. Apparently, no one in the grooming area was informed that these dogs were not to be together or with any other dogs. There was nothing in the profiles that ended up in their system noting that either dog should not be with any other dogs.I cannot in good conscience recommend the boarding or grooming services to anyone. The physical injuries to my dog are thankfully minor, but should never have happened. It is frankly a miracle that none of the staff and none of the dogs of other clients were physically injured. The staff members who witnessed and were involved in fights may very well be emotionally injured, and they should never have been put into that position. The dogs should never have been together, per my very clear instruction. If this was not something that the facility was capable of doing, either in boarding or grooming, they should have told us so and not agreed with my instruction. We would have gladly boarded one or both dogs at a different facility. We will not be using this facility in the future.

We had one of the best dog boarding experiences at CMK Pet Hotel. After being through several dog hotels and pet sitters, we can tell if our dog is happy and he is acting like at home just by looking at pictures now. They sent me a lot of pictures, and Teddy looked so happy in every one of them.We were little nervous about leaving Teddy because of the pandemic, but CMK staff went above and beyond to make sure Teddy was well cared for while we were gone. I highly recommend them, and I would definitely go back for our next trip.

We just picked up our dog from CMK and I must say he is one happy pup. We've boarded our dog here for years and he absolutely loves it every time. The staff have always been so kind to us and we can tell our dog loves them too. They were kind enough to email us pics of our dog out playing while we were away. They have no contact drop off and pick up right now, which is very appreciated by my family. Thank you, CMK for taking such good care of our Zeke!

We've taken both of our dogs to Cooper Mountain on many occasions for both kenneling and grooming. Every time we show up, the dogs are excited to see the staff and to run into the back. The owner is very nice and very good to our pups, which is important to us. Shortly after we drop off our dogs they're already sending pictures of them playing and continue to send us pictures for the duration of the dogs' stay. They're very flexible and accommodating every time we call in and we're relieved to have found a good kennel for our pups when we're out of town. Highly recommended.

I can't say enough great things about my recent experience at CMK!I have 2 large Great Pyrenees that greatly needed grooming. Their very long fur was quite matted from being outside all summer. Doug and Jessie were so kind and accommodating in my requests. Jessie worked on them ALL day and did an AMAZING job! She understood the particular grooming needs of the breed and double coat.They took great precautions due to Covid and wore masks during bathing and grooming. An extra layer of comfort for me.I have never seen my dogs look so beautiful!! Thank you for great service, wonderful patience in grooming my girls and for kindness to me! Awesome experience!Jan

It was our first time for us to board our dogs there overnight and My dogs seemed to be fine. The only problem that we encountered was that they lose our leashes. They documented it properly, but they still lost it and possibly accidentally gave it to a different owner, however, I appreciate their efforts for making it right with us. Because we were just visiting from Washington state they provided a temp leash and shipped a replacement leash. I could see the level of concern that they had and the willingness to make things right.As for paying additional fee for playing with dogs, it is quite an absurd thing, but that's how other pet boarding operates as well. I didn't encounter this with them, but I would complain if my dogs are not let out to do their business.Overall, We would definitely come back here

We have been taking our Boxer there for a couple years now and we can't say enough about this place. They are always caring and loving to our dog and always happy to see him. The facility is fenced, secured and locked during non-business hours, the grounds well kept with other fenced areas. We certainly miss our Boxer when we go out of town, but our time is that much better knowing he is well cared for and safe. Highly recommend this kennel.

I'm going to be honest here, I have not used the services of this establishment. However, I've had interactions with one of the current employees, and judging by her personality and the way she cares for animals, CMK is a good place to bring your pet. She's told stories of how the pets are cared for, and has emphasized multiple times that if an issue occurs, they're always willing to help. I salute the care and kindness you have towards pets, making sure to know each pet by name and always being happy to see them. If I ever need to use a daycare for my pooch, I know who I can go to.

Excellent facility. Caring people and well maintained grounds. Dogs have private runs though they can see the other dogs. There are times when dogs can play together...if the dog and owner are amenable. Dogs who prefer alone time also get chances to run in the grass in the fenced play areas. We'd tried other dog boarding facilities, without success, and then found Cooper Mountain! What a blessing! Our dog always comes home happy from here.

I was really disappointed when I went to tour this place. My dog has been groomed here before and Jen still grooms her at another location. I was looking for a place to board her for two weeks while we’re away. $37 a day is not bad, id pay that. But they charge an additional $7 a day to let your dog out of the kennel to go run for a few minutes. Extra to go for a walk etc... Seriously ? Can you imagine leaving your dog inside a kennel 24/7. While I know this is a business, the feeling of wanting more money over being humane to dogs reeks to me. I would never trust her care to people who can leave a dog in a kennel for days unless the owner pays more. Its ridiculous ! Letting the dogs out for a bit each day should just be part of the boarding experience.

I have boarded here for years but recently have had bad experiences with my dog and the new management. When I picked up my boxer 2 weeks ago he had scrapes on his elbows and knees from being on the concrete and urine stains all over his body. He smelled horrible and the management looked confused when I complained and then they offered to take him in and hose him off. What? Really?If you love your dogs and cats please do not under any circumstance take your animals to this facility.

We have three senior dogs that we had never taken to a kennel and were not sure what to expect or if our dogs would enjoy it. Earlier this month we boarded our boys for two days and were surprised how effortless it was and how willingly they took to leaving us. Every person we saw greeted us warmly and were very kind towards our dogs. A week and half later, we dropped in to board them for three more days and as soon as we pulled into the parking lot they started jumping for joy in the van. In the lobby, it was crazy how excited they got, and again, they effortlessly walked away with the Cooper Mountain lady. I think that really says it all, Cooper Mountain gets our dog's approval. We feel really secure with them and how they treat our dogs. We are thrilled to have this option when we need Doggie Babysitters.

We recently spent a few weeks visiting the area with our puppy and noticed Cooper Mountain Kennel near our rental home. We were a bit hesitant after reading a few negative reviews, but decided to check them out in person. During our unannounced drop-in, we received a tour of the facility, which was clean and inviting. CMK quickly became a “home away from home” for our energetic little golden doodle. He couldn’t wait to bolt into the play room each day and we spent worry free days knowing that he was well cared for. Frequent pictures of our happy dog were reassuring and entertaining. We board our senior cat and dog here! Our cat is pretty lazy and mellow, but the dog is another story! He is a young Pitbull with a lot of energy and he LOVES to play! He loves going to camp Cooper Mountain Kennel! He gets to play with other dogs and he is one happy boy! He gets a bath on his last day and comes home nice clean with a cute scarf (star wars last time :) )The staff is always polite and helpful and they seem to love all the dogs! This place doesn't breed discriminate, they take all dogs.
