This place is great.We had a chicken get an abscess on her foot (bumblefoot). They were able to get her in and treat her. She has been in the house recovering and to keep her bandages clean.We had a hard time finding a bird vet in the area.

I would never be able to say enough great things about this place. They are truly the only place I will EVER trust with my dog Coston. Long story short my friend referred me to them when another company botched my dogs surgery for stones back in 2019. They have been VERY honest and far from pushy with me. My dog has since been to them for 2 surgeries for stones to get out the ones that the other vet missed. The pricing is beyond fair, and they help you make informed decisions for your pet. They dont instantly want to jump into your pockets. Very worth the 45+ min drive one way! I personally deal with Dr Kim, Dr Nicole and the gentleman who founded the company. Annie and Ashley in the office have done an amazing job helping me as well, and gone above and beyond with customer services.Especially recently! I appreciate this company more than I can ever explain. Any future animals of mine will be going here. Thank you for all you do!!!

We have been using Banks Veterinary Service for 15 years for our cattle herd. Back when Steve owned the practice it was always a pleasure to work with them, easy to book, and reasonable prices. Now it is very difficult to book, and the office staff is extremely difficult to work with and not very competent. I have had to explain simple procedures and it is frustrating. There is only one vet left who doesn’t seem nervous around the cattle (which are restrained in a squeeze chute). The prices have increased exponentially for simple procedures, and we feel like we are being pushed out of the practice. It is now more financially feasible to have vets from an hour away come do our work, and they are more competent. We wish we could support a local business, but as customers it is not a business we want to support.

Please be really cautious before bringing your pets here. This business removes/hides reviews from public view on Google. Yelp ratings are more honest and considerably lower, and have several instances of this office treating animals very very poorly.

We’ve used Banks Vet for many years for our livestock and today we took our dog to them for the first time. I cannot say enough good things about them! They have always been timely, professional and helpful with our cattle but today they went above and beyond to squeeze our dog in as her regular vet was booked out a week and her eye injury couldn’t wait. We will be switching over our household pets to their care because of the wonderful experience we had today. The staff are welcoming and their vets are explanatory, reasonable and seek to provide the animal with the necessary care and not upsell you on every little thing that a lot of the “big city” vets tend to do. Thank you Dr. Christina, Annie and staff for your wonderful service! Our pup is already feeling like herself again.

I just brought my cat here for the first time today and was so impressed with the amount of care they provided. I immediately trusted Dr. Post and loved how kind she was. Everyone was extremely friendly and you can tell they all truly care about every single animal that is brought in. I used to take my cat to a vet 5 minutes from my house, but I will gladly drive 45+ minutes to receive the level of service they provided. Their pricing is also incredibly reasonable. I cannot say enough good things about this place. I am so incredibly happy we were referred here.

We love our Banks Vets. They are ready for any questions we have, are so sweet with our cats, and charge fair prices. With the pandemic and all; their system of mostly contact free services is amazing. A tech takes and brings your pet, vet tech and doctors call while you wait in the car. Pay over the phone. Rarely do you have a huge wait.

We have been taking our pets to Banks for 4 years now. We will not go anywhere else. The staff are all kind, caring and informative. They always explain options and spend whatever time is needed with our animals. Their costs are low and they provide excellent care. We have to drive an hour to get there but it is totally worth it.

I have been coming to this clinic with my animals and my mother's for over 10 years now, I love Doctor Steve. The clinic has seen my dogs, my cats, my sugar glider, and my guinea pigs! All the employees have always been very helpful and caring towards my pets and they will refer you to a specialist as needed. The clinic has grown over the years and has three other knowledgeable and caring veterinarians. I have never felt up charged and the prices are reasonable. I cannot say enough good things about the clinic and highly recommend them to all of my clients and friends.

Christina make an emergency trip last year to treat my mare for choke and she’s still here because of her. Yesterday she made another emergency trip for my gelding with colic. She stayed there with him keeping him as comfortable as possible until I could get there to be with him when he passed. Making the decision to euthanize was one of the hardest things I’ve had to do, but her care and compassion helped take a huge weight off my shoulders. I cannot express how grateful I am.

I love this place. Dr Kim Post is so patient, professional, and caring with my two girls. I have a 10yo Min Pin that does not like people and Dr Kim is the only Vet I trust knowing she will be treated delicately with care. Dr Kim is honest, and gives you accurate diagnosis without fluff but is still very delicate with the owners concerns. I drive 45 minutes to Banks with a smile on my face knowing I am paying for the service, care, and professionalism and not the lobby's marble floors like other places in Portland. I will continue to go to Dr Kim as long as I own a animal.

I had an elderly cat that was in pain and regretfully I needed to put him down. It was less than $40 at Banks and the staff were really great. Every other place wanted $100-$150. I'll drive the distance now! They are so worth it in every respect.

My cat has chronic ear infections and I have taken him to a few different vets over the years.. Each time I would end up spending a few hundred dollars on tests, just to find out the same thing.. My cat needed antibiotics. Dr. Steve came highly recommended, however his office was a bit out of my way. Finally after spending over $400 on tests & an ear flush only for my cat to have the same symptoms less than a week later, I decided to make the journey to Banks. I could not be happier that I did! Dr. Steve was very straight forward, he gave me helpful information that no other vet had ever offered. Instead of charging me to run all sorts of tests, he simply swabbed my cats ear & said, 'oh yes, he definitely has an infection.' he also mentioned that my cat should have never had an ear flush done 'because here in the northwest moisture is the enemy more often then not.' He ended up giving me some antibiotics and some pointers on how to prevent ear infections in the future. The entire visit cost me less than $100. We are now going on 3 years ear infection FREE. The prices are fair, the staff is great & Dr. Steve has been incredibly helpful. I will never take my Romeo anywhere else :)

I believe in true honest reviews & am updating a negative review because Banks Vet took the time to care & resolved it, therefore, accuracy for any potential client is important - I know I check reviews before giving my business to an unknown place!Banks vet is a great family owned business, I've been going to them for years & trust them with all of my 4 legged family members, who are VERY important to me. Not only are they much less expensive but, they genuinely care & it shows.If you're looking to support an exceptional local family owned business, this is the place to go...you will NOT get the same care, consideration & familiar faces when you go to a large Pet Store clinic, it's an all together different experience.I highly recommend giving Banks Vet the opportunity to earn your business & love on your pets, they will not disappoint.

Been coming here for years. Great place, but miss Doctor Steve. He was a no nonsense vet. No unnecessary test, just treated animals from his experience . Now it's younger vets have become like all other veterinarians where they want to test for everything. I can't afford them anymore. Very sad. People with fixed incomes no longer can afford to have animals. I'm there.
