Over the course of a couple of weeks I talked to Dave about getting a new tank for my bearded dragon. He not only remembered the exact type of tank I was looking for, but the size and that I wanted a side opening one as well. He let me know about an upcoming sale, and when the time came to purchase even helped me carry it out to my car! The staff is very nice, informed, and offer good prices. Remember to shop local this season!

i took my dog here for a bath after a trip to the beach. super cheap and very clean tubs. though the soaps they offer are all natural, which is great for the skin but my dog has thick long fur and it was hard to really lather the soap and get her clean.

I bought two canaries, male and female from The Pet works Astoria. The store manager at this place Dave( that’s the name I found on the receipt) was quite knowledgeable very professional. He explained quite a bit about canaries, how they get their coloring, which of the two might go well together based on the temperaments as I was a bit confused which ones to pick.He also made arrangements to bring a few colored canaries from The Pet Works in Longview as they had sold out all the colored ones. The price they offer is also very reasonable compared to other pet stores. The birds look very healthy as of today. To my surprise this place is so well maintained and clean despite of many walking in for self service dog washing. The staff here is very friendly as well. I had a great time visiting this local pet store and am very much satisfied with the purchase. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who likes exotic pets at a competitive price!

I always go here to wash my dog. For $15 bucks, the ease of washing your dog while standing, and then not having a soaked bathroom and towels afterward is well worth the price. The price includes some grooming supplies, a shampoo of your choice and some towels. They also have aprons that help keep you dry when your dog inevitably shakes during their bath. After, you can blow dry them!

My dog got super sandy so we came for a bath at the self service bath and it was super awesome. Fair price and everything is provided for you. The staff are super nice and helpful. Moose even picked out a toy when he was done.

I love coming here for pet supplies and my rats. They always let me see all the rats and everyone on staff is so kind, helpful, knowledgeable and I enjoy going locally☺️👍

Great store we drove all the way in from Cannon Beach. Had a great time with my husband washing our 7 months old dog. Customer service was great and pet supplies where useful. Bought a collar and the employee was all hands on assisting us. Thanks Pet Works

I was really glad this was available. I had been at the coast, and my dogs smelled like fish. Lol. I was glad to stop by here to give them a bath. The guy was really nice and the facility is clean end to end. I also bought a dog bed too. Great place. ($15.00 is beyond reasonable for a DIY dog bath to include cleaning, shampoo, towels and all supplies!) Thank you!

There are fish, tarantulas, scorpions, finches, budgies, and all kinds of cute fluffy rodents! They also have anything you might need to care for any kind of pet and a very knowledgeable staff. It was a fun visit. I honestly walked in just to look at the animals and ended up leaving with more treats for my kitty than I was expecting to find.

This by far is the worst place ever I to the store to get my kids a few fish like over $50 worth of fish we did everything we're supposed to I love fish tank so I'm not dumb about them make sure everything was right with the water and put the new fish and with our old fish tank by the morning half of all of our fish or dead what's in the next couple days everything in my tank died no I have had my tank for over a year and I've never had a problem until I tried to buy fish from that disgusting store now I have for little kids at home crying because that nasty store killed our fish I will never go there again I suggest if you want fish drive across the bridge to Warrenton. My kids just keep crying ..all the fishys are dead😞😭Update,-It has been over a year since this previous review and I have to say they have stepped their game up dramatically.

Have made some purchases in store but my most used and favorite service is the doggy wash. I have a large Bernese Mountain dog I cannot possibly wash at home. The raised tub is plenty big and easy on the back. Always clean and towels provided make the job easier for both myself and Truman. The powerful blow dryers are a must have and equipment is always in excellent condition. The cost is very reasonable I recommend! Staff us always helpful and nice!

Water was pretty cold, for an inside dog wash. If we wanted to use cold water we could have just used a hose, or better the warm bath in our own house. The folks working were kind and helpful. The products in the wash package were sub-par and homemade, which is fine but also no option to keep what you don't use. Good experience, but even the $10 option seems steep.

The store is pretty nice now since they implemented changes. Parking is still a huge issue as there is not any at all. ( Parking would make this a 5* ) Customer service is great if your not there on a new hire training day. They carry lots of different pet foods from reptiles to dogs and just about everything in between. It is worth a visit if you can find parking 😂

Found this place by chance while visiting Astoria. Picked up a new leash & toy for the pup. The selection wasn't on par with PDX stores, but hey, it's Astoria. Clean store. Friendly service. I even checked out their self serve dog wash area, which was hella cool. Maybe tomorrow after the beach I'll treat doggo to a spa day lol.They have many other types of pet supplies.

Amazing customer service. The 7yr old is very interested in a snake...when we went in to ask about snakes, we got our very own 30min free consultation about how it is to actually care for a snake how long they live what kind tank you'll need for later when their older. When we left the seven-year-old even knew that it would be a while before he got a snake. Lol so pretty much the guy really cared about the well-being of the snake and do a seven-year-old couldn't take care of it and did not just try to sell us on it. Much respect for an honest sales person!

This is a great shop right in the downtown district! My dog will not let me pass it without going in. And i have noticed this is true for all the other dog owners in the area! there is a great selection of food, toys and accessories for not only dogs, but fish, reptiles, bunnies, cats, etc. And the other great thing about it is the self doggy wash with everything you need right there! This is a great place for locals and tourists! And Nick who works there, is happy, helpful and humorous which makes our visit an uplifting event!

Got a sweater for my dog without hassle. There are enough choices to not feel overwhelmed like you would at a corporate pet store. Employees were engaging, but not smothering. The employee at the register encouraged us to have our dog try the sweater on first and they can happily do an exchange for it doesn't fit (not something you get at a typical retail store!).

They knowingly sell defective pet supplies and stick you with the bill to fix it. Was charged over $20 for a product that was $10.99. if I had realized before I would have never bought it!

Always get my animal supplies from here. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. One time I got off work late and needed to stop by to pick up some pet food - I called and asked if they could grab what I needed and they gladly did. I made it before they closed but I just had to pay and everything was there. I've never found a place so helpful!
