We stopped in while visiting Astoria because we saw the store listed on the Ruffwear site. We had picked up one of their harnesses for one of our dogs previously during our travels, and wanted to get one for the other dog as well. The store carried a wide selection of Ruffwear products, and the staff offered sizing recommendations, as well as helped size it to him to make sure if was the right fit. In addition to the Ruffwear products, they had lots of options for beds, toys, treats, and food. They carried the fluff and tuff toys, which are the longest lasting stuffed toys we’ve found, and gave our dogs some treats as well. Best of all, prices were within a couple dollars of online prices - no ridiculous small town shop markup like you sometimes see. Great shop if you’re in the Astoria area.

Amazing recommendations for dog food. We forgot our puppy couldn’t live on burgers and beer for a weekend like us. Super knowledgeable sales professional at the counter. 6 years working at a vet office. Just realized it was after 4 and she could have closed but didn’t!

Brought both of my dogs in because it was one of their birthdays. Super cute store with the nicest employee. The prices were very fair and the items were really nice. The dried sweet potatoes seem to be the biggest hit in our house now. They are choosing those over a bully stick, never thought that would happen. Just a great store with great products.

Riverdog is my new go-to pet shop in town. Not only do they have healthy treats and food options, but the customer service is amazing. They helped me find a food my picky pup actually loves and she always manages to find a new toy to walk away with from their cute selection. Great selection and great people.Story time: We don't have a dog, but we've brought friends here and they love the selection. However, we found a stray dog wandering around town. He was really friendly and had a collar, but no leash. Since we weren't carrying a leash, we couldn't really hold onto him while friends searched for his owners. The nice folks at Riverdog let us borrow a leash and gave us some treats and a water dish to take care of the dog while our friends searched.Happy ending: our friends found the good boy's owners and reunited them. Thanks, Riverdog for the help!!!

What a cute, well-stocked store! We found ourselves in town with no dog food so we stopped by. We we’re able to find high quality, natural dog food just as if we were back home in Portland. The assortment was very thoughtful with all of our favorite brands. The owner was so kind and helpful, too! We’ll definitely be back when we’re in town next.

High quality products, knowledgeable & super friendly staff.As soon as I saw they donated a gift basket for a local cause, I had to put my name on the silent auction sheet. I won & am so happy/grateful that they donated so many cool items. I will donate some of the basket that my pups can’t eat to a local shelter. More pups will benefit from their generosity. Store owner is the most caring pet owner and very knowledgeable on holistic pet care. My dogs are super picky and have many allergies, it’s amazing to have a local pet store where my dogs can come and get animal treats and food and I know where their food is coming from. I recommend Riverdog to all pet owners.
