I really enjoyed this little toy store. The woman who (I assumed owned the store) was very lovely and a joy to talk to. The abundance of games inside was amazing! I got an old fashioned candy land board game and it was only $15. Everything is fairly priced inside, and there’s a toy for everyone any age. If you come to Astoria, go here!

The best toy stor in the region! I absolutely love shopping here, you can always find a great gift for someone on your list, and they often have fascinating things you can't find anywhere else. The Purple Cow is one of my favorite places in Astoria.

My daughter and I stumbled across this delightful toy store. We enjoyed finding many treasures. We especially loved the plush animals, puzzles, playmobil, books, games, and kites. The grandkids loved them.

Had a wonderful day in Astoria and happened to see this shop and had to go in! Found some great gifts for my nephews and even a game for myself- the owner was so kind and welcoming, gave us lots of recommendations on places to go during our wedding week. Beautiful place, kind people ❤️

My wife and I were in Astoria 8 years ago. She has since passed. We had a full wonderful rainy day in Astoria. Gimre's for shoes, Fort George Brewery for lunch and liquid libations and Purple Cow Toys for board games and curios. We stayed at the Shelburne Hotel in Seaview, Wa. I'm 69 now but I still remember buying "River Crossing" at the Purple Cow.

Came in a week ago and chatted with one of the worker for a bit about school therapy. She was knowledgeable and pointed me in the right direction for games for my clients and figets . Will be back!

I had high hopes for this store. Prices are pretty high at this store. I found the perfect dump truck toy, but it was $80 which is wayyyy overpriced for a plastic toy. Bummer.

I can always walk into this store and be assured that I am going to find a creative and unique gift for any age child, (Or adult!) within my budget. The people who work here are friendly and generous with their help.During times of Covid, when we all need to be extra careful, this store is working so hard to keep the environment safe for kids and adults alike. Clean, well-stocked, free gift wrapping, high-quality items, fantastic game selection, amazing puzzle collection, Lego, Playmobil, Calico Critters...just so much to love about this place!And yes, I have seen the other reviews. Of course pets aren't allowed in a store for children, some of which have allergies. No, they don't allow food or drink in the store, because they want customers to be assured that they take home an item that is clean, and in perfect condition. I don't understand why some people don't get this.And the staff is friendly. We've been going there 11 years, and have never had a problem. They go out of their way to make sure their customers are happy. I've seen them order items from other vendors, knowing they wouldn't make a profit, because it makes their customers happy.I guess all I can say is try it for yourself.

The place was open, clean, fun. I bought sasquatch toys for the two girls and some other small toys. As a toy store would be in a vacation town everything was pricey. But the lady running the store was pleasant and nice enough.

We normally make sure to stop here while in town so the kids can browse and we (parents) can too. There is a lot of cool toys, games, puzzles and more. Love supporting the local businesses in Astoria.

What a lovely toy store for kids of all ages. The owners are locals that support the community and are amazing at helping customers. I shop there for the grandkid as well as myself....their selection of family and adult games is the best in town!

0 STARS FOR SERVICE. Do not EVER physically take an item from a child. I understand the item was not for sale, my 3 year old did not. It was a toy in a toy store. I don't care about the toy not being for purchase, so please don't placate me by explaining why they aren't for sale. DO NOT PHYSICALLY TOUCH MY CHILD AND ASK FOR ASSISTANCE OF THE PARENT.

We came across this place on vacation and I have searched low and high and this is by far my favorite toy store for kiddos! We’re from the PDX area and nothing compares! She has the best on-trend, yet different toys. And the prices were reallllly good! Usually small stores like this charge a lot more but I thought her prices were great!

During the local art walk (my dog Leia and I attend frequently) we walked in and was turned away saying they DO NOT allow dogs (Leia was being carried as she weighs 6 lbs.) ALL other local businesses allow dogs and even offer up some pretty good treats. I don't understand why a business would not let well behaved animals in the store? That left a bad taste with me for this business. They must be doing very well I guess that they do not need more business!

This shop drew our eyes from the start because it seemed to have a good selection of unconventional, quality toys.  What caught me completely off guard was the kind of service we would receive.  We are an international family: my wife is Japanese, and my 3-year-old daughter is of mixed ethnicity.  Though I just assumed the older woman working at the store was simply unfriendly, since she had been ignoring us from the start, my image would change once I noticed her greeting, and talking with all of the other customers enthusiastically.  Later, she would say one thing to my wife in a curt and condescending voice about how she didn't need to walk around a display rack because the rack itself turned, and quickly walked away.  Still giving the sales woman the benefit of the doubt, I approached her a moment later at the counter to ask about a couple of products and she noticeably looked away and ignored me.  Though we intended to purchase a number of products there; needless to say, the store didn't get our business. Though, I honestly don't want to assume the worst, compared to other small, specialized stores, the service was certainly sub-standard.
