Nice atmosphere not too big. Fast service. Good food and drink although the portions for the price are a bit small or pricey. Everyone enjoyed their meals... limited menu but solid.

Very Fine dining in a warm and welcoming setting. You can dine to impress the significant other or have a great pizza with local brews. The deserts are all worth saving a bit more of your appetite. Pressed coffee goes very well with the hazelnut tort.

Blue Goat is my absolute favorite place to dine in Amity. And I know, Amity isn’t a huge town, but even if it was filled with restaurants, I know Blue Goat would still be the best. I love everything about them: Locally grown produce and meat, and a short, curated menu so you can depend on anything you order to be exemplary. They have prepared items if you just want a little something to grab and go, and they also sell their meat and produce too! We’ve dined here a few times, and I always try to order a goat or lamb dish as that is not something I would cook at home, and I know it will be skillfully prepared and tasty. For instance, we recently had goat empanadas….so darn good! Love them! We’ve also had the lamb barbeque. Their fries are ridiculously crispy and yummy, salads are always good, and for dessert the chocolate cake or cookies have been delicious.Don’t forget to wander around a bit while you wait on your order (Which is always quick!). They have fun artwork, cute mugs, even dog treats! In December they had some sweet handmade ornaments and bulbs in planters. They are only open 3-8 Friday and Saturday so might take a little planning ahead, but they are so worth seeking out. If you are in McMinnville, it’s only a little drive, and if traveling from that area to Salem, maybe make a pit stop in Amity for a tasty treat?

The Blue Goat in Amity is my new favorite restaraunt. I just had the most delicious, flaky, amazing empanada I’ve ever tasted, with the best salad I’ve had in years. So glad you’re open again!!

Such a nice experience. Very casual and welcoming place serving hyper local wines and food. The empanada, bakes until crispy in a wood fired oven - was a great way to start. You can’t go wrong with the daily fish (steelhead) or other specials (lamb). No room for dessert but they all looked decadent and freshly made.So we came back for a second dinner as are staying in Amity, so not many options, but would even if this was not the case.Fish was delicious encore on the steelhead and the ling cod as well. Appetizers are amazing - lamb rillettes and riccota gnudi. Super service. Super comfortable.

I'm glad to see the Blue Goat is still humming along. I was a regular in the first years but haven't stopped in for a while. All the things I like are still there and a few have gotten better. We had goat empanadas to start and they were very good. Hot and smoky from the wood oven the goat was juicier and more flavorful than I remembered. A good match for a cold pilsner from Heater Allen. For entrees we split the rockfish tacos and portobello sandwich. Both were good, the sandwich featuring a lovely edge of crispy cheese. The tacos have always been excellent, with house made tortillas and ricotta.Bread pudding for dessert was wildly buttery and rich. The only miss for us was the potato halibut bisque, the server warned me it was really fishy and she was right.Overall I love this place. I feel comfortable coming in to the bar after work in stained Carhartts and also dressing up to take out of town relatives out. This can be a tough thing to pull off in a small farming/wine town and I'm glad they're succeeding.

Foodie heaven. They have a wood fired pizza oven, but also make other delicious dishes. I love the feel of this place too. The goat is not to be missed.

Rustic restaurant with locally sourced ingredients makes for a memorable meal that's both visually appealing and delicious. The cheese parings were amazing and the pizza devine. Service was also excellent. Can't recommend this restaurant enough.

Second time to the blue goat. Steak was cooked perfectly, tasty and interesting cocktails. Kitchen has a big clay oven. Goat empanada is a must try.

We loved it! Their burger was excellent, one of the best I've had, and the fries were great, too. Both of the cocktails were very good, the service was great. The atmosphere was nice and comfortable. Nothing to complain about and everything to love at Blue Goat.

Great atmosphere with very good quality food and good service. We had a pasta special and a burger plate with a chocolate tort desert. Both of us really liked the food. It was a notch above the standard dining out food. The background music was just a tad bit loud for my taste, but not a deal breaker. We'll be back and recommend checking this resturaunt out.

The Goat is a small town care free establishment that has one of the most welcoming and comfortable environments I have ever come across and my "Kick back at the bar with the buddies" days. The people (employees and customers) are awesome and it boasts a great beer selection. The prices are a little high for me to become a regular, but to be fair its a small town and sometimes that means businesses need to charge a little more to make up for the small pool of potential customers and stay in business. All in all it's probably worth paying extra for the environment and I would; I have; and I do recommended it to anyone looking to just kick back have a drink and B.S. with some good like minded people.

Every time I dine here, I am impressed by the food quality and presentation, which is served up by a very friendly and accommodating staff. The atmosphere is relaxed but still feels engaging. The food is on the expensive side compared to other local places to eat, but there is no questions that you are absolutely getting what you pay for. Would recommend going here for a date night, weekend meal, or a family outing rather than for having drinks with friends, as it’s a pretty low-key place overall.

Love this restaurant, doesn't matter what you order, it will be delicious. Service is great, and they have a multitude of beers and wines to choose from, as well as house made cocktails. If you want a decadent dessert, the chocolate hazelnut torte is superb.

A surprisingly up-scale restaurant with a wood fired oven and an eclectic menu. I was expecting a small town eatery but this was a couple steps up from that in both quality and price. I had a pulled pork sandwich and fries; the fries were perfect, with two different dipping sauces. The sandwich had a sauce which was unlike anything I've tasted before, but delicious. $15 for a sandwich and fries is on the high end in my opinion, but the quality is worth the price.

Loved the atmosphere! Was very disappointed in the food. The veggie burger pattie was burned and overall dry, no tomatoes or pickles , only lettuce and bitter onions. The fries were overcooked and tasteless. We splurged on dessert though and found the mousse excellent. The wait people were also very friendly. If you want a great place for relaxing, drinking, and overpriced dessert than The Blue Goat is your destination. I will not be returning. I will eat elsewhere...

This used to be one of the best reasons to visit Amity. While it is not bad, per se, it has become rather average compared to what it used to be. The two biggest opportunities for improvement are the service and the overall attention to detail. Our server was not very attentive after our food was delivered, and simple details like napkins and condiments were overlooked. Attempts to get his attention were met with avoidance. The sauce for the gnocchi was good, but the gnocchi itself had the texture of deep-fried mashed potato tots. That said, the wood fired BBQ pizza is still a solid choice, and the burgers seemed to satisfy our guests. Would love to give a better rating in the future...

The taste was pretty good, I'd say about a 3 or 4 out of 5 for my party and I with me leaning towards a 4.In my opinion, the portions are way too small for the price, I know some people are willing to pay extra for nice plating but perhaps I am not that guy. The pizza I received did not fill me up and I am seriously a small dude, I'm only 140 lbs. A $15 pizza should fill you up. We also got the fried green tomato appetizer which was seriously small. It appeared to just be one average sized tomato cut into circles fried with a ridiculously small dallop of sauce.

The service was good and the atmosphere was enjoyable but the food was terrible. We had a party of five, and we ordered the cheeseboard as an starter, which it was good but way over priced for the amount of food. The halibut was extremely bland, and the burger was 90% stale bread and 10% flavorless burger. The pizza we got was completely charred on the bottom, and it was completely inedible. Im all for fresh ingredients but if you cant cook it then whats the point. We got a bread pudding as a dessert. However, there was no "pudding" or "bread" in it. It tasted like oatmeal but had the consistency of a fruitcake. Whoever created this dish had obviously never seen or tasted an actual bread pudding. The food was simply overpriced, bland, and burnt. If you want to go there i recommend eating first.

Been to this place 4 times. I live in Salem and it's worth the drive. Great local fair. The menu changes with the seasons. I see one post with less than 5 star. I have not experienced the issues mentioned. The giant wood oven in the middle of the building is worth the trip. This place is another reason I love the northwest.
