3 days in a row,, i have made an appointment for the flu and COVID-19 vaccines. 3 days in a row I have taken off work, and arrived, only be told they don't have enough staff to give shots. 3 days in a row I have wasted time, money and risked getting a virus because Walgreens can't or won't pay to have an adequate number of staff working in pharmacy. In addition, you continue to make appointments available on line, then don't have the decency to call, text or email that the appointment is canceled.It is hard to believe that this poorly managed business continues to take up space in Albany Oregon.

Would give less stars if possible. Got a call explaining that they couldn't accommodate our vaccination appointment for our family due to their staffing issues and that we could walk in on another night. Unfortunately, we planned around this and our busy schedules, which I explained to the staff member. He placed me on hold to speak with the manager. Well, about 40 seconds later, I got hung up on. After not receiving a call back, I decided to call them back. I, then, spent the next hour on hold to get someone to answer my call. Eventually, after being the next caller, their wait system went silent without anyone ever answering the call.

Getting my son‘s prescription they didn’t even check prescriptions that came in for the morning. And one of the pharmacist said it would be ready At an at a certain time and my husband‘s been there since and it’s still not ready so an hour later he still waiting. So my husband missed his appt. Never go back to this pharmacy.

I won't be shopping at this Walgreens anymore. Six customers waiting in line to make purchases and no one to checkout. Waited far to long to be helped.They finally opened the photo check out and wanted us all to move over there.I dropped my stuff on the nearest shelf and walked out. Sat in my car and ordered it all from Amazon and had delivered on the same day. Plus it was cheaper.Walgreens, you need to do better on customer service if you want to compete against Amazon.

Twice now I haven't been able to get my prescriptions because they are temporarily closed! With no explanation as to why. I'm changing pharmacies to someone who is reliable.

I just wanted to share that recently I was in town for one day to visit my elderly parents. They needed to get a couple vaccinations and were unable to figure out how to do so on their own. They don't drive or see well, needed help w/forms, etc. OLIVIA greeted us and although it was a Sunday afternoon, and they weren't offering that, she agreed to help my parents accomplish this task. This was the kind and thoughtful thing to do! She could have turned us away and told us no. They were very professional and helpful. My parents were so happy and relieved for the help. Thank you for this! You made our day.

A couple of weeks ago I ended up locking my keys in my new car with my baby in the car. I immediately ran inside Walgreens to ask for help. Without hesitation, the manager came out and spent at least 15-20mins trying to help me get in my car. We didn't have any luck, but I am so grateful for the great customer service, even though it was easy outside their job scope. Thank you Walgreens employees for showing care and compassion.

Horrible service. Waiting for a vax I find one line. I check in after my appointment time. There are 7 people ahead of me. They lose track of the paperwork I have to fill out and so I wait an extra 25 minutes for that. Mind you I answered the identical questions online when I made the appointment. One poor guy was here 2 hours and 10 minutes waiting for his vax. His appointment was made online for 1:30. They left for lunch and said come back in an hour. When he did, the line was all way down the aisle. One line. No vax line.So spare yourself the anxiety and stress and don’t come here for a vax. Not the employees fault. It’s Walgreens fault. They over schedule vaccines and understaff the store.

they are Understaffed , and missed use by the public's they do the best they can despite being face to face when had someone from Walgreens HQ,their a overheard , the staff Ask for more help the Walgreens Person said No their are going to have cut back , do to estimated $112.1 billion last year from theft and lost inventory, according to the Walgreen Person , and sum store will be closing down , I'm shocked, the local person asked if he store is at risk and if he should be looking for a new job , the Walgreens Person Laughed but the Local person who works their wasn't Laughing he explained I like to know I have a family were already are struggling And we don't receive any help it's just him and his partner . I'm not disclosing this local person but trying to bring Awareness' 10/10 the Walgreen upper management is fine but the local workers and management are not .

Had an appointment at this pharmacy scheduled for 45 minutes ago. Still haven't been seen. Just sitting in the waiting area listening to them tell customer after customer that they don't have the prescription they ordered, or they can't find it, or it will take longer than they told the customer originally.

This store is the worst. I don't know what is up with them but the pharmacy is either closed or no pharmacy on duty. So can't pick up prescription.

Update Kelsey is wonderful she just called and explained that she figured out what happened and took care of everything.If I could give negative stars I absolutely would. I needed to use their pharmacy because they were the only ones open at that time that particular day after a visit to urgent care for excruciating tooth pain I just needed the one prescription of oral lidocaine the one time in the nearly a decade since I quit using because of their apathy and incompetence. And for some reason they couldn’t find my insurance in the system literally the first and only time in all of my years on OHP so the told I was either going to have to go without that night and pick it up tomorrow or pay outta pocket and get reimbursed tomorrow. Considering that was my only hope of relief from the agony I paid out of pocket. And then I came back to get reimbursed and there was one excuse after the next after the next and they’d ask me to comeback the next day and then it was don’t comeback until the store manager calls you after he gets it all sorted out tomorrow and he doesn’t call the next day in fact he doesn’t call me back at all so I go back in to see what’s going on and I’m told it’s been more than a week it’s no longer our problem you’ll have to figure it out with your insurance. And that’s it I spent money I couldn’t afford to spend on something I desperately needed that was fully covered if only they could figure out how to bill my insurance. Then I wasted time and fuel coming back multiple times because they couldn’t figure out how to do their jobs until finally They just decided that it’s not their problem anymore. I guess preying on the vulnerable and desperate is one way for Walgreens to run a business.

I looked up this store a few months back and was surprised by the low reviews, I've never seen such a consistently low star rating. Reading through, most were for the pharmacy so I figured the photo department wasn't bad. Nope, they gave us someone else's photos and couldn't locate ours. Thank god we were just having digital photos printed, not irreplaceable film. The person we talked to did not care about their mistake and didn't even get us a refund.I naively tried to place a pickup order for groceries because they had a good price on soda. Nope, canceled a few hours later. This place sucks floor to ceiling. Fire the staff, tear it down, and try again.

Scheduled an appointment. Got confirmation. Drove an hour to get there in time. Was told pharmacist wasn't going to be there for another hour and a half. Waited in my car. Came back was told actually insurance wont cover it so it will be 130$ for the flu test. Pointed out to lady that this was part of a promotion they have been running since december which is coved. Was told to go into the drive thru lane and wait for the test. Still waiting.An empty parkinglot would have been more helpful. I hope this building burns down while no one is inside.

If I could gove less than a star I would. By far THE WORST pharmacy Ive been EVER.They give you incorrect pills. They give you other people's prescriptions and they dont fill the ones you bring.They are simply just ridiculous and cant do their job correctly and sick people need them most.

This is undoubtedly the worst pharmacy I've ever had the displeasure of using. I echo the complaints voiced by many of the previous reviewers - insane hold times by phone if anyone answers at all (upwards of 45 minutes for me), inconsistent communication, common medications often out of stock, never having prescriptions ready, refusing to fill a prescription because the pharmacist can't understand the doctors medication instructions, and so on. I lose hours each month trying to deal with this nightmare of a pharmacy. Their automated system is essentially useless and trying to speak to an actual person is near impossible. I get so tired of waiting on hold to see if someone can tell me what the issue is with filling my same prescriptions this month that I'll often just drive to the pharmacy and go inside just so I can talk to a real person - its actually faster to do that, if you can believe it. I actually did that today - after waiting on hold for 20+ minutes with 2 callers in front of me the whole time, I drove the 8 minutes to the pharmacy and was surprised to see no cars in the drive through and when I went inside, no one in line with 4 people "working" behind the counter. I've had positive experiences with other Walgreens in the past which is probably why I've put up with this utter nonsense for so long. But after today, I'm done and am in the process of switching to Costco's pharmacy. Do not under any circumstances use this Walgreens pharmacy. There are so many other far superior options.

Waited ten days.Tried to get a prescription filled but the pharmacist said he needed more information from the doctor. That's fine, we waited a day. Tried to call to check in but the automated system didn't have any information and after waiting an hour on hold to talk to a person I had to hang up.The doctor's office said they tried to call the pharmacist but couldn't get through and said the pharmacist never called them. I tried calling the Walgreen's pharmacist several times and was on hold for an hour each time, all while being told I was next in line but I never got through to a real person. Called the doctor to have the prescription filled someplace else but they couldn't move it until the Walgreen's pharmacist cancelled it. But we couldn't get ahold of the pharmacist because they wouldn't answer the phone.After 10 days, TEN DAYS, I waited an hour to see the pharmacist in person to get it cancelled so I could fill it someplace else.This is malpractice behavior. If a pharmacist:1. can't fill a prescription in less than 10 days,2. doesn't call the doctor's office to get the information they need,3. doesn't answer the phone when the doctor calls and4. won't answer their phone when we call to cancel the order so we can get it moved to competent pharmacist, you should have your license revoked.Don't send your prescriptions to Walgreens.

This is by far the worst Walgreens I have ever used. If they don’t have a pharmacist on a given day they just close the pharmacy with no notice. They never have your prescription ready. I told an employee that I needed to change pharmacies and they said “I would if I were you. It will never get better” so I did.

If I could give this pharmacy is zero or a -25 I would. No one has any idea what is going on and you should be prepared to wait over an hour in line or in store to get your prescriptions. Things are not prepared when they say they will be, even if you receive a text that prescriptions are ready. It takes forever to speak with anyone and it is an issue every single time I have ever been there. Pick literally anywhere else.

I just stopped by this pharmacy today to pick up a prescription. The lady behind the counter said she had to get it and asked me to sit down and wait. Nobody ever touched back with me again. I was sitting within full view of them in their chairs. The lady that helped me looked at me directly several times sitting there. After 45 min, I got up and asked about the prescription. Apparently it was in the basket, and nobody was gonna tell me. I asked why they didn’t get back to me, and the pharmacist said ‘I’m sorry, I don’t know what is going on’. That was the most truthful thing I heard while I was there.

Scheduled online in advance for my vaccines. Completed online paperwork, and came in 15 minutes before the actual appointment as instructed. Waited in a massive line for 20 minutes. Got there, checked in, then sat and waited…FOR AN HOUR AND A HALF. I was the only person waiting to get the jab after being seated in the waiting area. I was there for almost 2 hours before just walking out because the wait was just not worth it anymore as it was pushing close to 8pm. I’m understanding when it comes to staff, especially when they’re being pushed to the limit, but these people genuinely don’t care how long you’ve waited if they haven’t actually just forgotten about you and/or management is terrible. Please believe the reviews above and below because I obviously didn’t and now here I am having to reschedule elsewhere. I never write reviews, but this place warrants one. The Albany Walgreens is by far the worst pharmacy I have come across.

I had an appointment at 1:45 and wasn’t seen till 2:40. I wouldn’t recommend going here unless you have a lot of time on your hands. The lady giving the shots was very kind, but I can’t say the same for the other people. Apparently we had to wait for our paperwork to be printed to get our dose, if I understood correctly. They were sending people on lunch. Not sure why they couldn’t print something before leaving. I understand it gets busy but waiting an hour for an appointment is ridiculous. Again do not come here unless you plan on waiting for an hour.

the pharmacy staff needs some serious training. 3 months in a row now, when it was time to refill my prescription, i was told they "ran out" of my medication the same day i needed it filled. they gave me "what they had" , which each time was only 10 pills instead of 30. not only does this mess with my insurance, i had to take time out of my schedule to make additional trips to the pharmacy after only 10 days, because i guess its my responsibility to make sure i obtained the 20 other pills so i could stay medicated the rest of the month. how do you constantly run out of the same drug month after month and not be smart enough to realize maybe you should place a larger order to begin with? it's embarrassing that you can't give someone the correct amount of pills because you admit you didn't order enough. 3 MONTHS IN A ROW. get it together and be more organized!!

Every time I have to come here and use the pharmacy it is literally hours to wait. I'm sick and feel awful so make me sit in the drive thru for 30 mins to tell me to come inside and get them. To my surprise, of course they still weren't done when I came inside either. I hope all of them get sick!!! I would never use this place unless it's the last open option in town. Customer service is trash!

I want to give less than 1 but this site won’t let me I’ve been very unhappy with this pharmacy a long time !! It takes for ever to get a prescription filled ! I get it their busy! The pharmacist very condescending when I had trouble getting a prescription filled for days they were very rude and absolutely not helpful ! Then I figured out it went to the wrong pharmacy and was filled by another pharmacist was told they would just but it back into the system and the pharmacist in Albany could fill it ! Well the pharmacist would not fill it they said I would have to drive 2 hours away and get it at the pharmacy in portland! . They can see I never received the prescription and my Dr.is out of town now for a week !! So rude and uncaring condescending go to another pharmacy they really won’t help you if you need anything!

Every single time I come here for a prescription it’s a guaranteed 45 minute wait, at the very least. I’ve sometimes had to wait over an hour(like today). It doesn’t matter if you go inside or use the drive through lane, it’s always at least a 45 minute wait. I’ve come at 8 am, I’ve come at 8 pm, I’ve come in the middle of the day, it doesn’t matter, it’s ALWAYS a 45 minute long wait. I just don’t understand. My old pharmacy(Bi-Mart, which recently shut down) never made me wait more then 15-20 minutes for a prescription pick up. And they had just as many clients to serve but had half as many pharmacists and pharmacist techs, so why are the waits always SOOOOO long here? Make it make sense.

My daughter tried to get the booster shot here. Her first shot was J&J. She tried to get her booster as phizer. The CDC says you can mix and match, the walgreens website says you can mix and match. She was allowed to schedule the appointment…but the pharmacist at this location does not allow mix and match. How this pharmacist has the power to override walgreens and the CDC is surprising.

This is by far the worst pharmacy I have ever been to. I don't understand what takes them so long but each car is sitting at the window for more than 20 minutes. I dread getting prescriptions filled.
