I had a terrible experience. I purchased a safe online that was advertised as free gun with purchase. Not true. I wasn’t prompted to pick out a gun or add to my cart so I figured it was because need for background check paperwork etc. I went to the store and was told shouldn’t be a problem but they would have to talk to management and have them contact me. Never happened so I went back again and same response from employee who told me to come back in a couple of days and talk to manager. I did but he dropped me off to employee again who told me I would have to return the safe and repurchase which would make total delivery price $975 dollars. Ridiculous! Also didn’t get any paperwork from manufacturer or the power cord and was told to contact the manufacturer because they couldn’t find anything. Who would spend that much money to get a gun that sells for under $200 dollars. I’m out and never going back!

It's alright. It's no BPS or Cabelas that's for sure. If you're just there for some fishing lures or something. Its a handy place in a pinch sometimes because there are a good amount of locations in western oregon. 9am open time though? The big fish are already done biting for the morning by then. I really don't understand why the store doesn't open at daylight at least. This is when we need it. When we have forgotten that much needed item before a hunting or a fishing trip. The store is expensive in most areas and selection in most departments especially tough but affordable raingear, waders, kayaks is just not their thing. If fishing is what you're looking for the Albany, OR. store has the better selection than any of the other surrounding area Sportsmens.

I will NEVER shop at this store again! Shame considering it WAS my favorite local store,. The poorly trained staff couldn’t have provided a worse customer experience, acted less professionally, or made me feel uncomfortable if they tried.I was directly lied to, and spoken down to condescendingly. I was made to feel unwelcome, and unworthy to be there. And finally the staff ensured I was made to feel like some kind of criminal, or untrustworthy. With staff insisting on maintaining direct supervision of me at all times, not allowing me to try on pants, and repeatedly asked if I needed assistance when I clearly didn’t.As a disabled veteran, all this caused me great distress. Resulting in having to leave quickly before I had a full on panic attack. By far my worst shopping experience of all time, and I will never go back.

Customer service is terrible. They tell you they'll give you a call/email once your order is ready but never do. Then when you go in to check in on your order they act like you're a nuisance. This will be my last purchase here. Ever. Decided to give it 2 stars instead of 1 for the workers there that actually have good service, and their selection of firearms. I can understand them constantly being busy and understaffed, but I shouldn't have to feel like I'm annoying someone for simply doing their job, that's just weird.

Update: 09/19/2022 - The culture here has changed in a big way. Excellent.Enter the Twilight Zone of human suffering and sporting equipment.Downgrading my rating after dealing with miserable Kaylie - atrocious customer service. I asked to look at a Vortex red dot scope and she said, “Take a number - Are you gonna buy it or just look?”Instead Purchased at Coastal Farms along with a New Springfield Saint AR15.Had another horrible experience today with Kelsey after she had a meltdown over my customer loyalty number. She screamed, “What’s your phone number?” It’s almost laughable at this point - something isn’t right at this store.Shane in the gun department is a cool guy though. Dealt with Josh and Emily today - both were nice - bumping up my rating!

Bad experiences everytime. Employees aren't knowledgeable about the positions they work and only know how to do what's on a computer screen. I recommend this store for people that also don't know what they're doing so that you don't test their mental power with simple questions

Wide variety of firearms and it's general firearm supplies are starting to be in stock more often. The biggest issue is ammo but that's a problem everywhere right now. The clerk's are knoweldgeable and friendly when helping with firearms. Can recommend this store for somebody looking to get into firearms for safety or for fun.

Bought my father a gift and got the wrong one. They would not return the unopened item with a receipt. We had to drive down from further away so our debit could be credited. When we came in the young man proceeded to argue and berate me until my husband stepped in and told him he will not speak to his wife or father in this manner, do the return and be done. We will never shop here again!

the Albany store doesn't have much for kayak supplies/accessories. I had to or a kayak cart. They had only a few life vests, none would be comfortable in a kayak seat and most XS/S/L. They don't have a large selection of kayaks either.

My last visit went very well even though their credit card company dropped me for non use. The store in Albany Oregon is well organized. The staff I have interacted with have been very helpful, professional, and highly informed. They must be good because they constantly sell out of guns, ammo and accessories. They generally have a great scope inventory. They mount and fit stuff for free. Their inventory is very seasonal so if you need something in 6 months, then buy it now. What you might want will not be there in 2 weeks. The best thing about them is their accessory inventory in bow hunting and shooting. Check out always goes smoothly. They even have very clean and spotless bathrooms, which many women use. They are the perfect place to pick up your FFL purchased gun. (Joke) If you are looking for mortars and tanks, join the Army. :-)

I took my daughter here yesterday to get her first bow. I will never go back here again. I've bought my bow, my sons bow and everything here and had a great experience before. But while buying my daughter a bow the archery lead was less then helpful, not interested in helping us or anything. Honestly it ruined the whole experience for my daughter. Thanks

I didn’t have a very good experience, I live 1 hour away , when I went to purchase a rifle , I accidentally clicked a wrong answer on the tablet.
