I am currently not happy with the Albany OR Coastal Farm Store. I don't know who the store manager is but he or she needs to retrain all staff except for the staff at the gun counter - those people know what they are doing and talking about - but 95% of the front end cashiers and employees are stuck-up or not trained enough, causing me to walk out and not buy the overpriced chicken coop that my wife and I wanted to get. I have spent a lot of money at this specific store in the last 5 years, from guns to a gun safe, and all my chicken feed. Today the girl I talked to did not know how to use any of the software your store uses to take payment and start layaways. I gave her a good 5 to 10 mins before I finally gave up on her and decided not to hand over cash for a down payment because I don't think she has the training to actually make sure the product I want is set aside in my name and documented, even though another employee was supposed to set it aside for me yesterday, which clearly was not done. And when I say stuck-up employees, I mean the young girls that work here that think they are "country", don't have any manners or customer service skills and only work at Coastal because they think it is some sort of status symbol. That is my rant for today, and I never post negative Google reviews, but this store really made me mad.

I love browsing Coastal Farm & Ranch to see if they have something we might need. It is not just a pet and farm store. They have gifts, specialty snacks, a large variety of clothing, shoes, and much more. I especially love going when they have baby chicks, ducks, and rabbits. I don't have any experience purchasing their live animals, but I enjoy looking at them. The store is always clean, and the employee's are friendly. They are a bit overpriced on some of their products, but it is a great store to visit when we need something other stores don't offer.

Poor quality of customer service, untrained staff, missing items during pickup orders, they refunded to refund me without returning the items I never received, management will not call me back or return my emails, I was wasn't getting my rewards and after several attempts to correct the issue, I had to just open another account for the rewards, they act like you can't do complaints or refunds over the phone but when in store no management is available. I've by requesting contact by management for over 6 months. Whoever they send me to when I call is not a manager because they never have any authority to solve problems and have to "contact management." The quality of the Albany store has decreased dramatically over the last few years. The price of their hay is robbery and the quality is poor.

All I went in for was a portable heater. Couldn't find it. Lady at register said they had 12. Then stood over 30 min waiting for someone they said would only be a few minutes. The lady at the register kept looking over. But never once gave an update or anything. Before going to the register all the employees basically veered the opposite direction any time I tried to ask for help. Un pleasant and un helpful.

I had a great experience today with Kyle and the gun counter sartificial. He was very helpful and sold me 3 brand new firearms as happy as it can feel like it's gonna be great guy. I'll help you anyway he can! Thank you, coastal farm for hiring good employees. All of your employees do very well when i'm in your store

Really good selection of work wear and everything else, I will be going back for sure.But only two cashiers and it took forever to check out, plus one cashier (the manager i believe) seemed like she was having a bad day and was rude to another employee.

Friendly staff and fast unloading.Truck drivers, the entrance to the yard, was located at the back of the store.Don't forget to set tandem all the way to the back.

Tried to exchange a pair of boots for the exact same boots, just a half size bigger. Still in the box never been worn. I had bought the boots from a different store. They looked it up and it was verified I had purchased the boots. The manager said I could not exchange because it had been to long since I bought them.Keep in mind I'm not looking to return them, just exchange for a different size.In my opinion this is very poor customer service, especially in today's competitive retail market with plenty of other stores who sell the same products. I will take my business Tractor Supply or Wilco.

This place is AMAZING!! Must shop here for all your needs and wants! I diligently searched for rider mowers and found Coastal tremendously priced well. Great selection and immeasurable customer satisfaction!!

Called in to see if the store had an item. Was put on hold for 10 minutes, left hanging. Hope Grace is ok, after I hung up I called right back and the employee did not give her name said she’d transfer me to Grace. I did mention to her that I hoped Grace was ok because she left me hanging on the first call. At any rate, I was transferred. to Grace and 5 minutes, no answer. Hope Grace is ok. I know it’s inconvenient when a potential shopper calls in to check on an item, but it is cheaper and time worthy, rather than driving from store to store. I did make one more call and that store did have my item. One less shopper in Coastal farm store due to poor customer service.

Can be a bit pricey and while there are some kind and helpful staff, there is equally some rude ones as well. The guys who load larger orders of feed and that kind of thing, out in the where house, are very nice ans helpful! I've Never had a singlecomplaint about the where house crew.

I have a lot of sympathy for check outs with new employees who are still learning, but with several people who has already been waiting the 1 experienced checker walked out to do other stuff (instead of calling someone else to help) while the newbie was waiting for them to help with a transaction. Multiple people left their stuff and walked out. Hopefully this was not a normal staffing day for them.

All the employees are Great, a guy there name Dave was so helpful, pleasant, Great employee! Buttttt the mechanic OMG why go anywhere else! Seriously, I've been there a few times and he has it down! That's where I will always take my stuff. Wish i would have gotten his name. Great Smart Guy. Knows his stuff!

We used to go to Coastal Farmall of the time but since it’s been under new ownership, it just doesn’t seem the “heart of Albany” any longer.Most recent example was yesterday & today. We’ve been looking far a half-whiskey container to plant flowers in & we priced the ones you had outside, then went to 4 other stores to compare prices. Today we came back to Coastal Farm to see if they would price match one we found at another store but didn’t want to drive across town now a second day in a row. The gal indicated the new owners were reluctant to price match (poor business practice in a small town), but she agreed to leave her register & walk outside to the garden center. She took a pic of the one we wanted & looked at the other one we were looking at at another big box store (we prefer local stores such as yours). There was a $5 difference & the gal got permission to match the price. Well when she rang it up, it was actually less expensive than the one at the big box store. It was on sale and had been for THREE days but NO SIGNS - not even regular price signs. So we wasted 2 days plus your employees time, all of which could have simply been avoided by proper signage. Other employees expressed frustration at lack of sale signs & I don’t blame them.
