For a restaurant in the middle of nowhere it was pretty darn good. Apparently people come from all over to dine at Bill’s. We were traveling on business and one of our co-workers in Frederick, OK suggested this place for lunch.Right off the bat we knew we had to try the Frogs Legs as an appetizer. We also chose the Steak Fingers - both came to the table piping hot! We had to wait until they cooled down.I ordered the Half Order of Catfish with Onion Rings. My counterparts decided to go with the full order of Catfish with fries. Then another Half Order of Catfish with fries - that was plenty of food.I would recommend the Onion Rings, fries hmmmm they are fries so nothing new.The Frog Legs were really good once they cooled! My colleagues liked the Steak Fingers and accompanying gravy.It’s doubtful I’ll make way back to dine there again but it’s worthy for a first time visit

We stopped here based on the positive reviews that we'd read online, and we were glad we did! The reviews are correct -- the food is excellent and fresh, prices are reasonable, and the service is out of this world (our server was Francis and she was fantastic). It's a warm, friendly place, not fancy at all, just easy going and comfortable.There are no signs saying that it's Bill's Fish House -- you have to know that it's there (it's about 3/4 mile on the Oklahoma side of the bridge over the Red River on Oklahoma 79 on the north side of the road).We had catfish, chicken tenderloins, steak, scallops, and stuffed shrimp, along with cole slaw, hush puppies, and fries. We liked the catfish, chicken, steak, cole slaw, hush puppies, and fries the best. The catfish was as good as any that we've ever had. Even stuff like tartar sauce and cocktail sauce were way better than average -- they say they make everything from scratch, and it sure tastes that way. Cole slaw is often meh (or worse) at restaurants, but here it was flavorful and fresh and delicious.This place is well worth a detour! And thanks again, Francis, for a wonderful and memorable meal.

I stopped in here tonight after hearing about this place and it was phenomenal. Everything was so good. I never liked tarter sauce or closeslaw but absolutely loved it here.Of course the catfish, fried pickles, and Hush puppies were to die for.The service is absolutely the best I have ever received at any restaurant I have eaten in my entire life.the only thing sweeter than the tea, is Ms. Frances.Can't wait to drop in again. 🤤❤️🔥💯

If you’re not eating here, what are you doing?? I live 45 minutes from Bill’s and it’s 100% worth the drive. Great fresh fish, hush puppies, and of course fried pickles. Sometimes you have a long wait on Saturday Night or Sunday afternoon, but it’s always worth the wait. I do hope one day they will have better bathrooms, but the food, staff, and atmosphere are truly 1 of a kind. ❤️

Very good food, great service, and with the exception of a pretty good wait to be seated the food came out quickly.Chicken livers were cooked perfectly.Affordable pricing. If you're in the area don't skip this place.

drove from Duncan to try this. ordered two fisherman platters to go ..when i opened my plate my onion rings where burnt.. the shrimp tasted like frozen pre made shrimp the catfish was over fried and was just crust and not good. i ate my food i was very hungry ...my wife could not eat hers ..this was on 4/11/24. now its 4/12/24 and im so sick. we spent 50 dollars and two plates of food...one of us is sick and the other could not even eat this. very bad experience. i wont be back EVER

Crisp is all I had fish thinner then deli meat, shrimp store bought and off brand, onion rings burnt, was not worth 50 at all. Captains dinner times 2 and my husband is very sick with food poisoning don't recommend.

I've been going to Bill since I was a little kid. Think the late 70s early 80s. My grandfather would gather the entire family up and drive 45 minutes to an hour from Texas. It's a fond childhood memory. And even to this day, going to Bills brings a smile to my face. Food is good. I personally love the catfish, and it pairs perfectly with thier tartar sauce. The wait staff is the best. Just down home, people being nice and attentive. The atmosphere is a throwback to a different time. When things were different and things were done differently. I love it. It's very mom and pop. I'm sure it's not for everyone.

Being from Alabama, I was skeptical about Texas catfish. However, I was completely surprised! Some of the best catfish I have ever tried, and, my wife and I used to truck catfish from Isola MS to LA California, and have tried catfish in many different places. Bills is a clear winner!So glad we now live in Wichita Falls and come back again and again. A new family favorite!

Goodnesssss the fried catfish!!!!!! You have got to put Bill's on you short short list for fried catfish and drive over to get you some! The place is nothing fancy, but the catfish will make you forget about that!!! The service is always great and the catfish comes out hot and fresh. The waitress gives you coleslaw and hushpuppies after you order - be careful to save room for the catfish. I have done the half catfish and half chicken tenders and that does not disappoint either!Parking: plenty of room for trailersKid-friendliness: very kid friendlyWheelchair accessibility: easy access

I went to Bill's catfish today from Wichita Falls. I called before I went to see if I could bring my small Pomeranian dog in. The lady that answered the phone at Bill's catfish said yes I could as long as it was well-behaved. When I arrived I was told I could not bring the dog in. The hostess said that I had not talked to her so I could not bring the dog in. I explained I called prior and that the lady that answered said I could bring the dog. She insisted that I could not and I left. I will never return to Bill's catfish ever.

We had the thin fried catfish and it was very good. I am taking away one store only because i have two very picky negative things to say! Please remember the catfish is seasoned perfect, fried to perfection and is fantastic. Now my two picky things 1) the fish is served in baskets and in my opinion cheapens the overall experience. 2) fries are cheap, they need to serve more fries. If every single customer including the kids is eating all their fries . They are not serving enough. Now once again I must say the fish is outstanding !

Excellent, no nonsense place for fried catfish and seafood. They are open later than anyone else around and allow for call-ahead reservations. This place gets busy (we waited an hour), so definitely call ahead. I had the seafood platter and it was delicious. The homemade onion rings make it even better. I would love to see homemade pie or handmade ice cream added to the menu.

The best fried catfish ever! Home made tartar sauce! The stick hush puppies are great! I ordered the fish thick- cut, which I just learned you can do. I really like it. For a restaurant that's been family owned. Since the 60s the food is excellent the fish is amazing around, The waitress are friendly With great service! I have Ben to other fish and catfish places They don't even come close to bills! My grandmother and I, go here all the time! When I go visit! They are always packed, with customers! But you never have to wait Very long If you do have to wait! Their Tartar sauce Is homemade The fish battered Is there own taste Everything is homemade! It's really great!

So I love eating at Bill's fish house when I am traveling to Texas. They have some of the best fried catfish around. I really wished they had one closer to Oklahoma City. That way I could have they amazing catfish more often. The people and services is just a great as the food. So if you are traveling though Waurika, Ok. on Ok highway 79 and want some great fried catfish this is a must stop place.

*WATCH OPENING TIMES, OPEN LATE (kitchen closes at 9:45pm) in summer time (Google posted times are not correct).Best catfish, excellent freshly cooked french fries. Combined with awesome ambiance, and EXCELLENT service!! We have been going here for many many years. And it is a 45 minute car ride for us (traffic permitting, OK just kidding on the traffic, it flows smoothly through Petrolia and Dean). So worth it.
