Our family of four stayed at Riverbend Cottage and it was amazing!!! We all agreed it was one of the very best vacations we'd ever been on.The cottage is charming, cozy and so secluded. The pictures don't do it justice! The view from the porch was incredible even in February. It was very clean and the kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook. The sheets and towels are luxury quality. We loved the fire pit with chairs and picnic table at the end of the house. They even supply the firewood and kindling!Just a short walk away are the canoes and kayaks and we spent a lot of the time floating along the river which is right down the steps of the house!The people who run Rivers Edge are wonderful. Gary is such a kind, helpful man! He gave us wonderful fishing advice and we caught some fish in the river right out front of the house.The property is beautiful. It has lots of well maintained, real hiking trails. We actually never left the property even though we'd planned to go down to Broken Bow and Hochatown. Once we were at Rivers Edge we just didn't want to leave!We cannot recommend Rivers Edge highly enough and hope very much to come back and stay again soon!!!

We’ve rented cabins here for the last four years in early November. Each time we are delighted with every aspect of our stay. We’ve stayed in four different cabins, and have brought a Labrador retriever with us for most visits. We haul in groceries but that’s about it—everything else is here: thoughtfully-curated everything we ever need for the kitchen; all linens for the house; kayaks (with life preservers and paddles); and a big old porch with big views. The water out of the tap is cold and is just the best drinking water! The beds are so comfortable that I wrote and asked what the mattress and topper were (got a fast response). This last trip we left our dog’s prescription meds on top of the refrigerator and they were sent via Fed Ex (surely not an easy feat since this place is way off the beaten track). One time our car wouldn’t start and the maintenance guy came by—again, very quickly—to see how he could help. We tend to arrive at dusk, and the cabin is always warm, softly lit, and there is peaceful Bluegrass music playing. We’ve gone on endless walks both up and down hills and across relatively flat pastures but I think our most magical memories from this place are the gentle “leaf showers” we watch. There’s not much autumn in our neck of the woods but we get a glimpse into the peace of that season here in this mostly deciduous forest. We rarely see evidence of other guests although I’m sure the property is sold-out because several times we’ve tried to add another cabin—any cabin!—close to our dates. We may extend our stay next year so we can wander around the traffic nightmare that is Beaver Bend on a weekend. It looks like a lot of cute shops and restaurants are in that town but that’s another sort of day.

The whole experience was rather magical. My husband and I were there on our honeymoon after initial plans changed, but we couldn't have asked for a better place to be. The cabin we stayed in was dog friendly, and as a desert dog, I think he had a blast. Just remember to bring enough food with you so you don't have to make trips to the store like we did!Check-in was really easy, and they've got the awesome little things you could buy like the mugs and robes.

We came here for our honeymoon wanting something secluded where we could spend time just the 2 of us off the beaten path. Boy did we pick the right place. The whole experience was great from start to finish. Check in was easy, the pictures do not due this place justice. From the huge trees to the breathtaking view from our cabin, the outside did not disappoint. Once we entered into our cabin we were amazed at the beauty that awaited us. The cabins were clean, cozy, and filled with many items we did not even think to bring. The cabin was decorated very well and it was extremely inviting. All the staff we interacted with were helpful and happy. I can not stress enough how great of a place this is with so much to do. The kayaking, the trails, the firepit right outside the cabin. We will definitely be choosing this place in the near future.

Riverbend is the best cabin hands down. No cell service no WiFi. There is a canoe and lots of time to fish and I enjoy nature. Bring plenty of supplies there is nothing and we loved it. If you fish bring roostertails 1/16 oz and have fun catching some of the biggest bluegill I've ever seen. There is also bass and catfish but we had so much fun catching bluegill. Will definitely be going back.

What a great time we had staying in the Twisted Pine cabin. We wondered how the name actually came about, until we started noticing some of the trees off the back deck. And the back decks, yep multiple levels, were amazing. The outdoor fireplace and comfy chairs came in handy during the snowfall we had the first day. However, the outdoor fireplace was used and we loved it. The view off the main deck of the river was stunning. The path down to the river was fun. The cabin layout was perfect for two couples. We enjoyed the kitchen space and cannot say enough about the beautiful island. Wow! We hope to get back to Rivers Edge Cottages again to try another cabin and explore what it has to offer. Thank you to the Staff for making our arrangements so easy to coordinate from a distance. We will be back!

Husband and I stayed in Mountain Chalet for our 1 year wedding anniversary and it was an amazing experience! The scenery is beautiful and it's so peaceful! Can't wait to plan a trip back! If you plan to rent a car for your trip I'd recommend renting an SUV or something with 4 wheel drive as the roads are pretty rugged and mountainous. Other than that it was a perfect weekend!

We came to celebrate our 12th wedding anniversary. The Homestead provided the cozy family feel that we hoped to enjoy. This is our 4th stay at Rivers Edge.We want to share some of the highlights of our visit.The husband gets a kick out of keeping a fire going.The wife admired the accommodations for having a family picnic right out front.Fox Kid 1 took pleasure in walking the river looking for treasures.Fox Kid 2 loved roasting marshmallows and will probably be turned into a mallow.The Fox family loved watching the leaves fall and looking forward to our next adventure at Rivers Edge.

My husband and I stay here EVERY year. He found this place as a surprise for me and it has become our yearly get-away. I can't explain how much this place means to us. The cabins are beautiful and cozy. The views are breathtaking and the peacefulness you feel here is amazing. We just returned from our trip a few weeks ago and I can't wait to plan our next one. It was perfect! The directions they provide make it easy to find. Our cabin was incredibly clean and well-prepared, the linens were fresh, clean, and smelled wonderful. Everything was perfect. This was a wonderful, beautiful getaway. I'm already trying to plan a trip back.We stayed in the Mountain Escape - which was perfect. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook with - and they provide hot cocoa mix, tea, coffee, and popcorn! This was an incredible trip. We're very happy!

If I could give 10 stars I would!! My entire family stayed 5 days at the Riverside Retreat and it was the absolute BEST vacation we've had. Beautiful home directly on the river. No need to go anywhere!! We fished, kayaked :-) played cornhole, made smores by the campfire, floated the river right behind the cabin, cooked out, hot tubbed and saw some of the most beautiful little lizards I've ever seen (blue neon stripes on the back half and bright orange stripes on the front half) YES we are nature lovers....Directions were spot on and no problems finding our way. From the minute we stepped in the office the welcome was so genuine! Any issue that came up(nothing bad and not their fault...it was ours) we gave them a call or a text and got immediate response and they were there to fix it within 15 minutes!! After the 2nd day the hot tub was smelling a little funky...we called and the owners came right out, drained the hot tub, scrubbed it clean and refilled it for us!! Such down to earth, great people!! We then found out it was from going in the river and then getting in the hot tub that causes the bad smell....There were 6 adults and 2 kids and everyone had the best time. I celebrated my 54th birthday while we were here and it was exactly what I needed....The most beautiful place right on the river, both of my daughters and their families all together was the perfect setting!! Thank you SO much for sharing this piece of heaven on earth with us!! Really enjoyed our 4 day stay at this scenic location. Our cabin, the Chesapeake, was secluded, romantic, beautifully decorated, fully equipped and even included an outside hot tub with a view of the pine trees and the river. We stayed in October and the weather was perfect for hiking and canoeing. We called prior to our stay and the manager very patiently answered all our questions. Looking forward to a return visit in the Spring.

We stayed at Whispering Heights Cottage May 2022. We were greeted with a clean space, rustic decor, soothing music, and chocolates.Room: The room was spacious with plenty of places to relax. The bed was comfy with plenty of blankets and pillows. It was actually a little softer (sinkier) than I'm used to. Hydrotherapy tub was nice and clean. The room had games, puzzles, and books. Wi-fi was terrible but we were there to unplug from our screens and work so that was no big deal.We didn't use the fireplace since it wasn't in season but there was an amlple supply of wood at each cabin.Kitchen: The kitchen was larger than I imagined and had all the utensils we needed, and even some we forgot: bottle opener, coffee bean grinder, french press, marshmallow roasters, etc. The dishwasher was nice to have.Bathroom: The bathroom was spacious with attached laundry room. Laundry room had a dirty clothes basket and soaps...even a tide stain pen. Robes were comfy and warm. Shower was large and had two shower heads.Outdoors: We really enjoyed the clearly marked hiking trails. The views from this cabin were amazing. We saw a family of deer out in the field and lots of birds. Fire pit and grill were nice. There were bikes and boats, playground, and volleyball court. We didn't utilize those because weather didn't cooperate.We'd highly recommend staying here. The staff was nice, the cabin was relaxing, and the views were amazing. Can't wait to go back.

Located in the beautiful landscape of Oklahoma, 7 miles inside its border with Arkansas, this well spread out resort is a tourist's and a nature lover's haven.With a unique blend of blissful scenery, relaxing tranquility and excellent customer service from very familial hosts, this place got us more than what we paid for, for my wife's birthday celebration. Offering kayaking options, hiking trails, indoor and outdoor jacuzzis and easy access to mouth-watering local cuisines, River Edge Cottages delivers on everything it promises - at a very reasonable price.We spent 2 nights at the resort, and regretted not having stayed longer. Our hosts were extremely warm and friendly, eager to help us out in every way, and answering all our questions with utmost patience and with a smile. The business is owned and run by a family that lives onsite, and our hosts made us feel part of their home.We will definitely recommend this place to people of all ages. Not having good internet coverage could be viewed as a negative, but we leveraged that to our advantage by staying disconnected from the humdrum routine of daily life.And yes, this will have been our first of more trips to this place! Many more!

What a blessing to have found this place! At the last minute We were looking for a cabin to spend a couple of days at. Found it mid morning and booked it for a same day arrival. We were so pleased to get to spend time in the Twisted Pine cabin. Very clean, well stocked, gorgeous inside and out. Back again, and this time with the kids! We LOVE this place! We’ve found the best place to come getaway from it all. We LOVE Pine Summit and can’t wait to come back! The amenities are immaculate, the kitchen is fully-loaded including even salt & pepper, and the decorations are even kid-friendly! It’s a beautiful view, great rest, and the kids love playing in the big hot tub. You can’t beat the experience at this place. Thank you for having us again!

Rivers edge is absolutely amazing! My wife and I have stayed here many times and we try a new cottage every time. They are all first class. We've taken the family for a week of peace and fun and we've stayed by ourselves for much needed couples time. Either way Rivers Edge never disappoint! Do yourself a favor book a stay today!! What an amazing adventure we had here. From the picturesque pine tree lined drive into the property to the sound of the Mountain Fork river just below the spacious balcony. We stayed 2 nights and both agreed we could live here. Upon entry into the Woodhaven cabin, we were welcomed by the sound of soft jazz playing on a stereo along with all the comforts of home if not more. As evening came we enjoyed the hot tub on the balcony. The cool crisp mornings were on the balcony paired well with a cup of coffee just listening to nature. The only negative we took away is that we could stay longer than we did, we will be back to this wonderful escape from the city.

The Chesapeake Cottage is as beautiful and serene in person as it is in pictures. Our cottage was clean, smelled amazing, and had French music playing when we arrived. We loved that it was so secluded and private-a much needed respite from life with 3 young children and owning our own company. The furniture was comfortable and the bed was both cozy & all the linens smelled amazing. The jacuzzi tub was exquisite (clean-no gross black mildew floating around) with plenty of room for both of us. The hot tub is breath-taking. The fully stocked kitchen welcomed home cooked romantic meals for just the two of us. And the couples massage was heavenly. Booking this cottage will NOT disappoint!

I cannot overstate how much I love this place. The cabins are wonderful and are placed in a gorgeous location with lots of hiking trails and bikes and canoes. The staff are wonderful and will go out of their way to make your stay worth it. It's easy to get turned around when going for the first time but use the map and plan ahead and you'll do fine. Don't debate, book now.

My family and I were driving back from an AR weekend to Dallas; the blizzard and crazy road conditions led to us totaling our vehicle. Mr Knapp and his people were amazing, ensuring that we had not only shelter, but also use of one (actually moved to a second one during our stay) of these amazing cabins. The staff are truly a blessing and actually will greatly increase the enjoyability of any stay.We had no choice during this trip, but we plan to return in the very near future because of how we were treated.

Love this place!This was most romantic getaway ever. That's what my girlfriend said. These cabins are awesome and in an awesome location. They are the best cabins I've ever been to.They are in a pretty remote area about 50 miles north of Broken Bow, Oklahoma and much better than anything in that area. They have romantic cabins as well as family cabins and at very reasonable prices.I can't say enough good things about River's Edge Cottages.

Just returned from our first trip to the River's Edge. We stayed in the Mountain Escape and it was fabulous! That cabin was very nice and clean. The area is very nice and so quiet. Lots of trails and dirt roads to explore. Perfect time to relax and read. Look forward to coming back here!
