I have a puppy who is extremely nervous about nail trims and we have gone to River Trail for all of her check ups and nail trims and couldn’t be happier. Specifically, the technician named Mandy is amazing with nervous pups! She spoke softly and was very gentle with her when other businesses wouldn’t even try to cut her nails or would it which you should never do with puppies! Highly recommend River Trail :)

River Trail Animal Hospital and Pet Lodge is the absolute best! Amanda is so kind and always gives my pups love and attention. My golden doodle loves to go to daycare and has the best time. He is always so happy when I pick him up.Best group of vets and staff! Highly recommend!

Dr. Roddy Roberts is by far the best Vet in Tulsa and very likely the State. Full disclosure, he has been my family vet my entire life and today was a perfect example of why. He is caring and compassionate with his patients but also with their humans. He is more than knowledgeable and seems to have a Doctor Dolittle kind of communication with the animals in his care. The amazing group he has put together at River Trail Animal Hospital will take the absolute best care of you and your Furbaby.

Dr. George saved my fur babies life!! We unknowingly adopted our Sadie with heart worms, and we were very scared and anxious for her when we found out. Dr. George answered our many questions, walked us through the process, and assured us she was going to be okay and that he would take care of her. After each treatment he would call and let us know how she was, and I definitely needed that when she had to stay over night for a couple days! We will never take our dogs to another vet, and we cannot thank him enough for what he’s done for us and our two pups.

Dr. Roberts is the best Vet there is. He is first-class and as genuine as they come. You will never go wrong working with Dr. Roberts.

My little pup hurt her back paw and it was bleeding so we drove to River Trail since it was very near by. It was later in the day and I was afraid they wouldn’t be able to see us. Not only did they squeeze us in, the ladies at the front desk as well as the doctors and nurses were so kind and took care of my baby. It was a very reasonable cost and we were in and out pretty quickly. Highly recommend!

Excellent in every respect. No better Vet in Tulsa. Dr Seth George is so kind, compassionate and knowledgeable. He has kept my little Maltese, Poppy, alive to age 13, despite Cushings Disease and Kidney issues. Dr Hooley and Dr Roberts are absolutely incredible too.

Always get an second opinions from another vet office for major issues. Dr Gerorge mis diagnosed our pet, told us the 2 yr old dog could pass away in 90 days. $1400 of testing and 4 weeks of pain and suffering for the family. We were told the dog is fine. Unbelievable.

This place used to be the model for veterinarian service and boarding, but has become completely unreasonable . We have two small dogs, they normally would be $35/day/dog/cage. We were told when we started boarding them together, it would be $50/day/dog/boarding together.Didn't catch it the last stay, but this stay I asked for an itemized, and saw what they were doing. Wife called to talk to the manager, who's reasoning was, "you paid it last time and didn't say anything" as if not catching the deceit was an implied acceptance. We caught it this time, because we were traveling 10 days and the $750 charge Of an $1100 bill stood out really obvious!Used to use riverside, we will be going back to our old office and boarding at woodland west, although it's 7 miles out of the way.We have spent several thousand on this place, and refuse to spend another dime on narcissism and deceit.

Great facility and staff! Dr. Roberts is a one in a million vet. I couldn’t be more appreciative of his care for both of my dogs. We are in OKC but will always make the drive to Tulsa for him.

The vet magnanimously gave me a "free exam".So my dog (medium sized lab mix) presented with lumps on the back of his knees. This is swollen lymph glands. I was very concerned about this and the doctor told me that since these glands were isolated (no other of his lymphatic system showed swelling) and that he is very low risk for lymphoma. He said they're swollen because he had an infection. The infection is gone and the lymph glands swelled to fight the infection. He advised monitoring them and that they will slowly shrink down. Then he said nothing to do, and to call it a free exam. Ok great. I'm getting a second opinion but hope he was right.I will say the vet tech who checked me in was professional until it was time for her to leave and I to wait for the doctor. I politely asked how long I might be waiting. She replied "why, is there some place you need to be?" I replied " I just have to be at work at 4. " She then asked "is it nearby?" I said yes but I still have to go home and change first. My appointment was at 2:30 and I took the trouble to arrive on time. Her response was "I don't know how long it will be but I'll tell the doctor you're in a hurry." While I WASN'T in a hurry, I have found the south side vet hospitals to be pretty cavalier about making people wait, hence the inquiry as to how long it might be. I also asked because I traveled about 15 miles and this would be the same distance back. I found her to be rude and not sure I'll go back there. I'll add that on this day, I saw no one else waiting when I arrived and I assume that since I asked about the length of the wait, the Dr. arrived almost immediately.

If your dog ever had kennel cough from this location, please contact a lawyer. Due to them neglectfully withholding the fact that they've had multiple kennel cough outbreaks. This is all verifiable through previous employees and I do not recommend anybody ever going or utilizing either of the river trail facilities.

Brought my kitty in yesterday and had to spend close to $1000. The money isn't important, it's to emphasize that my kitty is really sick.Anyways, I was supposed to get test results and another vet was asked to look at x-rays so the opinions of other lab techs and another vet were pending. When I called in at 430 today, whom ever I spoke with pretty much told me that if I didn't get another appt with a different vet, I don't get the results. Then she said she didn't have the results after she told me she did. Then I was told that the vet I saw had to give her medical opinion on those results (that were someone else's medical opinion)I questioned this and the woman I spoke with pretty much told me to go to a new vet hospital to get rhe results I paid for yesterday. Don't worry, I'm very confused as well. This person I spoke with on the phone lied to me several times and tried to tell me what I wanted to hear just to get me off the phone. She then suggested I go elsewhere if i wanted my results in a timely manner (that's not a direct quote, that's just what I was told in a round about way) I think I'll take her advice. The vet I saw was amazing. Dr Monroe. It's too bad she works here because I really liked her.At first I was upset with this place but in reality, I just feel sorry for them. They seemed really nice so its a real shame.Thank you for trying Dr Monroe. Skittles really liked you and so did I. You're an amazing woman. This vet gets 5 stars and I would recommend her if you can put up with this place.I do apologize for the honest but fair review. I wish things could have been different. I hope you guys have a nice day and someday see that its not about money and getting people to spend more of it. It's about the animals and making sure they aren't suffering and no amount of money can replace that. Money isn't the most important thing and hopefully someday you guys see that. I'll find a place that has the same morals and values as I do but I appreciate your time. Thank you again

I’ve been taking my dogs here for years for regular care and emergencies. They are very friendly and easy to schedule with. My girls love Dr Heinz so much, and I can tell she loves them too! She really loves what she does and it shows.

They have a Pittie prejudice that we weren't informed about so our dogs couldn't hang out with other dogs. Our girls love every living thing. We were treated like idiots when we picked them up; lectured on their "food aggression", which they don't have. And, we were informed that one of them wasn't fixed, when they both clearly are and have tattoos to prove it. Never again. To be fair, there was only person that treated us like this, but she was the lodge manager.

It’s a nice place. The staff is nice. Seems clean. It is very expensive. The last time I had the fur kids in for vaccinations and exams and boarding they forgot to give the vaccinations and exams. I’m not sure how that happens but they did give me a $25 credit as I had to make arrangements to bring them back in again to be seen and get their shots up to date. The very next visit for boarding I was to have their Sentinel filled and would pick it up with my kids on Sunday - the prescription wasn’t filled and they could not give any out due to it being Sunday and no techs were on hand. So I’ll have to make another trip back out there yet again. Last year on two separate occasions I was shorted prescriptions but didn’t notice until I got home. I would suggest counting everything before you leave. As I said, the place is nice (very pricey), the people are nice and the boarding area is nice. However, “nice” isn't helping the behind the scenes mechanics of their operation/processes and it can be very frustrating for a customer. Two stars would be just mean and not fair but three is probably generous. I hope it improves.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Great facility. Love Dr. Roberts! I will trust these people with all my pets! I took my two new pups in for their initial exams and they treated my babies like members of their family. The dogs were stressed when we first went in, but once they met Dr. Roberts the stress went away. I also appreciate that they take the pups in the back for injections so Mom doesn't have to watch.

River Trail Animal Hospital is amazing. I adopted my kitten from there about a month ago. They're such a professional, loving, kind and caring vet, with great vet services. Barbara and Dr. Hooley are THE BEST!! Barbara runs the rescue and is able to save lives by running an amazing, organized and professional rescue. Dr. Hooley is very likable and personable and he is great with animals. Also, River Trail saved my parents dogs life. My mom was working in the yard when our family dog starting choking. Without hesitation, she flew up to the vet as fast as she could, without shoes on (she was very worried), and one of the Dr's there saved our family pets life by removing a large stick that was blocking his airway! They acted fast and an almost tragic day ended happily!! Thankful for River Trail Animal Hospital and Rescue!!

Dr. Beka Heinz is so awesome!! I will never use another vet again. She genuinely cares and it shows!! She is knowledgeable and completely at the top of her game!! I could not ask for a better doc for my fur baby. I will always follow her wherever she goes. She is one of a kind, down to earth, extremely nice and she always listens!! River Trail is extremely lucky to have her!

We brought our pug, Matilda, to get her annual checkup 2 last week. It was our first time using River Trail, and we were thrilled with how well they took care of us and our dog! They treated us so kindly, and followed up our visit with a handwritten letter. That kind of service goes a long way. We'll be back!

I initially tried this vet when I relocated to Tulsa but regret that choice. My initial visit was nearly $1000 as my dog needed x-rays and meds. I'm not upset with the cost but there was no follow-up or courtesy call to identify if the meds helped and my dog's health improved. That shows a lack of care for the animal and the customer. When I decided to switch vets, the clinic was unresponsive to their request for the x-rays and records. I have had to call 3 times to request them myself and still have not had the follow through from this business. In addition, the experience of walking in the door of this office is underwhelming at best. Employees do not offer a friendly greeting and are often seen socializing with each other or checking their phones rather than helping customers or following through with requests.Hopefully my experience is isolated but I recommend finding another vet clinic for your animal's care until this business shows a commitment to service.

I have had some really great experiences here. The doctors are all wonderful, and my babies love Dr Copeland. However I called ahead to get curbside pickup for my medication today. I sat outside for 20 minutes waiting after they told me they would bring my medication out for my dogs. I tried to call them again but couldn't get anyone to answer. Finally I had to wake up my baby to go inside and get the medicine. Let me just point out that she's teething and the 20-minute nap was heaven. There is one reception in there sitting there on her phone doing nothing with my medicine sitting right in front of her. Not only that she told me I had to go to the Bixby location to get the rest of the script filled. No call or anything to inform me of this. Now I'm back in the car with a screaming baby and very frustrated!

Special thanks to the staff and doctors at River Trail for the care they've been giving our cats, particularly our oldest (19!) who has become diabetic in her old age. We've received excellent care and instructions for home care for her that has made the experience much easier than before her diagnosis. She's doing much better now, and we're back to imagining how many more years she'll be with us, instead of fearing the worst. Our two cats have been cared for by River Trail since they joined our family several years ago, and have received great care as well, in spite of several behavioral *quirks* they have. Thank you all for taking care of our family :)

Our kittens have battled some health challenges since we have gotten them, and we have been absolutely blown away with the care they have received from Rivertrail. Dr. Monroe is the cat master! We feel so confident in her care and expertise, but what she also offers is compassionate care and sensitivity. The road from diagnosis to beginning treatment has been stressful and emotional at times, but the care provided by the entire veterinary staff, from the doctors to the techs, has made the process so much easier. We are so lucky to have this team in our corner. Our babies say thank you, and so do we!

My cat is 16 years old, much loved, horribly spoiled, and been my blanket monster though 3 major illnesses (his), and River Trail has seen him and I, late and early; through them all. 25 Years of happiness with my furry family. I am proud to have them.

The pet lodge and kennel are up there with the best of the best. The pet lodge manager is amazing. She really cares about the dogs. My dogs are always happy and looking good when they come home. Thanks Amanda for always taking good care of my dogs.

Boarded our dog for the first time at the Tulsa location. After watching the front office staff roll their eyes and make disgusted faces while on the phones with clients I waited 30 minutes for them to finally bring out my pet, only to have him soaked in mud. Also lost the toy we left and was informed it was our own fault since we brought it (even though their own website encourages to do so, nothing was said at check in and woman who took reservation encouraged it.) Incredibly disappointed in unprofessional attitude and responses of staff.

Yesterday my family and I had to make a very painful decision to euthanize one of our dogs.We had recently moved to the area and had our dogs medical records transferred to this clinic, but no vet had seen this particular dog, but all our pets files were put under the care of Veternarian Suzanne Caruso. Little did I know they had two locations. When made aware of this I made it clear that I wanted to stay at the Tulsa Clinic, as its 5 minutes from our home.I scheduled our dogs euthanasia for 2pm. Suzanne Caruso took it upon herself to call a rescue group and did not even give us the curtesy of talking to us or knowing our dogs history. This rescue person got angry when I would not give him our dog and blasted my name all over social media as a dog killer. Thank you Suzanne Caruso for your professionalism and protecting your clients privacy. You made a situation worse by not getting your facts straight and communicating with us. I will be contacting the Oklahoma Veterinarian Board to file a complaint on this mater. I’m sure I’m not the first client that had their privacy breached and been dealt with in such a unprofessional manner. If my dog was able to go back into rescue it would have been the rescue I adopted her from. The rescue I adopted from was very aware of my situation and what was going on.I just hope River Trail Animal Hospital owners take the proper action to reprimand Suzanne Caruso for her lack of concern, professionalism and breach of privacy. Our dog needed a tremendous amount of attention to manage her behavior. She was seen by one of the best Veterinarian Behavioral Doctors in the country and had gone through extensive training. We had fostered her at 10 months old and then adopted her. We adopted them, because if we didn’t she would have been euthanized. We gave it our best for three years. Our situation changed and I was not able to provide our dog with the amount of continuous training or attention she needed. We didn’t want to run the risk of our dog being recycled in and out of rescue, because no one could handle her nor see her possibly abused or neglected like she was before she came to us.
