I came in to get my dog's nails done and this is my Petco that I go to for vaccines medical issues and whatever else needed for my pet and I've taken her numerous times in there for spa treatments and to get her nails done. Well just so happens that one of the staff members, "Jackie"apparently didn't know how to read the vaccine certificate paperwork and where it states that the vaccine expiration date she thought that was when the vaccine was no longer active. The problem is she didn't really on the top parts where it stated that the next vaccine do is in July and she's saying that it expired in April at the beginning of this month to be exact. Anyhow she turned me in my puppy away because she said our vaccine was expired I wanted to talk to manager but I was so insanely upset at her that I just left before I said something I would have regretted. Honestly I give this Petco is zero after this and frankly I doubt I'll ever go back to that place and I honestly advise anybody else to do the same Don't bring your pet here to get their nails done and if you do don't let that Jackie person touch your animal because she's a complete idiot!

Petco has really improved over the years and blows PetSmart out of the way. They have a very clean and polished aquatics section. Like many places lately, they need to improve training their employees at the cash register.

We came for the veterinarian, which was very friendly and helpful in getting our cat looked at.After the appointment, we looked at some items in the store as he loved the bed they had in the vet room, so we had to get him his own. With all the cute critters and a good selection of items, I would recommend coming here for your furry or scaley friends' needs.

Yesterday, I took my dog to the Petco at 41st and Yale. I have used the grooming services at many other Petco’s throughout the years. I use Petco for its walk-in services (nail trimming and buffing, teeth cleaning, ear cleaning). My dog is a rescue and is extremely anxious in front of others, and especially at a new place like the groomers in front of individuals he does not know. I have been told by many groomers that he gets scared by the blow dryer, so I have stopped bringing him in for baths and have resorted to bathing him at home. I have been told that he doesn’t like hands near his face, so i routinely brush his teeth at home. The only grooming that I do not do on him, and do not want to do out of fear of hurting him, is cutting his nails. When I brought my dog in, there were not any other dogs being groomed at the time. I told the groomer that my dogs nails were very long, and I asked if she could cut them as short as possible. She said that should be fine, and it would only take about 20 minutes. One of the reasons I actually enjoy using Petco’s grooming services is because you can see the groomer working on your dog. Normally, I walk around the store for the quoted time, and I pass by the grooming window roughly every 5 minutes to see how things are progressing. Yesterday, I went to look down one of the aisles, and I came back to check on my dog. As I turned to look at the glass, I noticed the groomer practically fighting my dog to get his paw into her hand. She was very aggressively yanking at his right arm to get to his nails, and he look terrified. She continued to aggressively pull at it until she looked up and saw that I was watching her through the glass. She then stopped what she was doing and had a fellow groomer come and stand on the other side of my dog on the table, directly in front of my line of sight. She had the other groomer start to “comfort” my dog by petting him while she continued to try and cut his nails. All of this continued on for a few more minutes. Finally, his service was done. She came out with my dog and said “your dog is so sweet and so well behaved.” I paid and left the store.I really should have said something to the manager while I was inside the store. However, I was not really looking to start an argument over what I saw and her version of the story. Needless to say, I will not be coming back, and I likely will not be using Petco’s grooming services again. When you drop your dog off for a grooming service, you expect that the groomer is going to treat your dog with some kind of decency. Unfortunately, what I saw was highly aggressive behavior coming from the groomer. Imagine had she not noticed me, this behavior could have easily escalated, and my dog could have been hurt. Also, imagine what a lot of us owners do not see when we drop our pets off for these services. I am highly disappointed in this experience I had, and I am posting this review to warn others either to stay and watch the entire grooming service or do not use this stores services.

Fish tanks were sparkling clean with fresh water and pretty and healthy looking fish. I was amazed because Im so used to seeing tank upkeep done at a minimal level in stores. Staff was truly 5+ stars and so helpful and friendly.

The two women working register were very rude. I was trying to do a return on a online order.. I don’t remember making it auto ship... So I wanted to return it. I never received a email because they had the wrong email. All I wanted to do was return something should not of been a big deal. They acted like I was lying. They also had a dog behind the counter that would not stop barking at my 2 year old.Very annoyed and angry. Will not be back to this location. The people in Catoosa are a lot nicer.

I arrived at 5207 E 41st St, Tulsa. The store address that I got on Google, is empty and signage has been removed from the building. They moved into a location further down the street. There is no parking sign for designated curbside pickup. The is no sign with the store number to call for curbside pickup. When I walked inside to the checkout counter, the checker told me the Petco phone number, ”It is on Google.” I asked him for the number to store in my phone, but he didn’t know the phone number of his employer. Definitely not what I was expecting!

EDIT 10.29.21 I went in with my mother to check out their betta selection. I was appalled to find that most of the bettas had at least 10-20 large food pellets in their cups. 3 bettas had the food stuck in their mouths and one was LITERALLY choking. I informed the manager and she was very dismissive and unconcerned with the lack of care given to the bettas. I no longer feel comfortable purchasing bettas at this location. Very disappointing.Old- Great products and super friendly staff

This place is severely understaffed! I feel bad for the people that do work there... That said, my daughter and I got a couple of adorable Robo's there recently. They are both the sweetest little things! We are still in the process of assembling their home as we decided to turn 2 bin cages into a double level home. The pictures shown are the bottom level, which will be the living area. The top level will be the sand/moss floored play area with the other wheel and toys/activities etc. The sand bath dish I actually got at Petco a few years back as well (its the Imagitarium Corner Bowl Terrarium Decor, X-Large). These little girls came perfectly healthy and in great shape. They are both really sweet and are laid back with each other, that said Robo's are the only breed of hamster that really do get along in pairs if they are siblings and they have enough space. A minimum of 450sq in each. Any smaller than that is asking for spats, and ALWAYS be prepared to house them separately if there are ever any issues. The crossbreeding of WW (Winter White's) and the Campbell's that most pet stores get in make it difficult to know if they can be kept in pairs or not so I would avoid. I would also avoid keeping even the Robo's in pairs if all the requirements (like space and at least 2 of everything, always do your research first) are not something that can be met. Syrians should NEVER be housed with anything at all! They are amazing pets by themselves but they absolutely will eventually kill each other and anything kept with them no matter how much room they have.... Anyway, back to the subject (I felt I should address it as I don't want people getting the wrong ideas if they see the pics I am posting) I was just seeing all the bad reviews so I thought I would leave one of my experience stopping by here. We came from Stillwater because our local Petco makes this one look like a million bucks, no joke. The animals I saw here were in decent shape at that time and the gentleman that helped us was great. He even went and grabbed another associate to help the lady waiting after us that wanted to see something else. They were still understaffed and I'm not sure if thats the managements fault, or corporates. Either way I feel bad for the people that do work there. They seem to do the best they can. I think often people forget that not everyone working at these places are experts on care. That comes down to the head of each area, all you can do is hope that someone there knows what each species needs and cares for accordingly. I honestly didn't look at any of the other animals there so I can't say how they looked. We were there specifically looking for 2 Roborovski Hamsters to bring home and had already been to our local Petco, the Petco on 71st and both of the PetSmarts in Tulsa, I wish we had just stopped here first! We would have saved a LOT of time, and gotten our second pick as well as our first one the Robos. We did get our first and third pic though and they turned out to be a good match. Not so much as a squeak of power display. Though they are adjusting to their new home and will probably take a week or so to feel at home so time will tell. But I think they will be a good match and they are completely adorable! My daughter had them named before we even left the store lol, Brownie and Frosty (as in Wendy's Frosty lol). No surprise she found a way to name them both after chocolate. Her one true love lol... We are very happy with our new little girls, they are the cutest things I've seen in a while! The last pic I am posting is the info for the Sterilite 50.9gal Christmas Tree Storage Box (1,040 sq in of floor space, about the size of a 75gal aquarium), for those looking for a decent sized bin cage for a modest price. Walmart gets them in for the holidays every year for around $30. It makes a great base cage for hamsters, mice or gerbils after being properly converted for ventilation. DIY videos and info can be found easily online for tips and directions for those wanting to make one.

I called earlier at around 4 pm asking if they had a product in stock and if I could reserve it over the phone or if I needed to place an order for pickup. Got told “Yeah, we have a few. You can come get it.” “Can I reserve one, or do I need an online order?” “You can just come and pick it up.” Turns out, they did NOT have what I was looking for in stock at all, so I wasted time and gas because the employee wasn’t even willing to check and ensure I had accurate information. Please do not go here, you’re better off ordering online or trying somewhere else.

We left a bag of live sand and called to see if we left it. The employee on the phone said yes and just to come back anytime to pick it up. We get there a few days later and suddenly they can’t verify that we bought it and can’t give a refund either. So basically we just got robbed $20 by petco. thanks for that. then essentially got accused of lying about it when we asked for a refund. terrible terrible TERRIBLE service.

This is what we saw today. We are a reptile rescue. This snake is severely underfed and dehydrated. We asked for a discount and they said no if you don’t wanna buy it then bye. We were on the phone with corporate and the general store leader and she told us that the guy who was in petcare during that time went home for the day. All while we were sitting in the parking lot. My husband complained about the snake not going to the vet after being returned and he was hung up on. When I went back in the store the same guy in petcare was there and also took the snake off the floor so we couldn’t buy and nourish back to health

Don't go here to buy fish, they assume you have no clue what you're doing and are very bossy telling you how to run your aquarium. Go to an aquatic shop that actually cares about their fish. Every tank had 10+ dead floating with their live. Was wanting to save a common pleco from their care and was told that "I didn't want him and he's gonna get big..." Lady, I know I want the pleco, hand it over smh. Check out tk aquatic down the street it's loads better and tons of fish all healthy. Just save yourself the trouble.

Really good job on the haircut. The only negative is the groomer didn’t do the whole inspection of the ears, teeth, etc at the beginning and end like petco says they do. Here is an after and before photo

Not everything is priced. Also, you will be paying 25% more for the same thing when you could just go to Reasor's or Sam's Club.

Don't buy online from this location, I ordered 12 cans of their science diet for my pup and they charged me for each can on my debt card, got the message that they had my order ready for pickup. when I picked up the order they only had 2 cans in my bag. they said that they refunded the rest but that would take a few days. bought another 10 of the chicken science diet. when I got home I saw that they screwed up my order for a second time and got the wrong dog food. going to PetSmart or any other place here on out because this location cant perform simple tasks

The gentlemen messed my poodle up so bad. Cut him like a labradoddle. And nothing was even. I wanted his face feet an tail done none of that was done. He just shaved a line across his nose after I asked him to cut his face. Again... I just left. I didn't want him touching Manny again. And the time before that the clipped his nails to low and didn't tell me.
