This Dollar General isn't the best, but all the staff that have been recently hired are trying to make it much better. There is a review on here by a woman who is lying about the store and what happened. My daughter in law was in the store at the time the incident took place. What actually happened is far worse and truth is it would paint the employees in a great light. . It caused the store to close immediately and remain closed for several days. The woman who left the horrible review is trying to get out of trouble and win money after real threats were made to employees that included weapons by her own family. Those of us who live close to the store depend on the service we get here. As far as things being out of date, if you take the item back to the store with your receipt, they will refund your money. Hopefully those people who cause trouble at the store get banned from the store and arrested when they throw items at the cashier's. If you treat them well, they will treat you well. As far as them closing when they're supposed to be open, well if they had enough employees, they could be open more. Also if they didn't have people who come in and threaten employees then they could remain open.

This store has the absolute worst customer service and does not follow store opening hours. They close 20-30mim before closing almost everyday and the store smells like dead rat on a consistent basis. Dont shop here...go to family dollar next door

Id give 0 stars if I could as you cant even wait until 9 to lock the doors. All I needed was milk and I get told this location was closed with 15 minutes left until actual close. Worst customer service at this location usually as well.

This Dollar General is good for a quick visit, but I don't typically make large purchases here. Most of the food areas are tidy, but other areas can have disorganized stock. They do offer some online coupons using the Dollar General app. Some of the discounts can be pretty good.

The employees were incredibly helpful and polite. The cashier bagged the inedible items together in a separate bag and bagged the dog treats with my canned chicken so the rest of my groceries wouldn't be squished.

I can't find a single good thing to say about this place. The store is unclean (dirt, grease, and litter everywhere, both inside and out), isles are narrow and usually cluttered with boxes or stock carts. Shelves are often bare. Service is nearly non-existent. Prices are no lower than other retailers. Selection is limited. And safety is questionable given the frequent thefts and armed robberies.

The store was a bit tight as I went during the day as they were stocking shelves. I am on oxygen & was getting tired so the lady who checked me out helped me by carrying my bags to the car. So friendly and helpful. Thank you so much.

This store is kind of dirty and they have big, totes full of merchandise on clearance on the floor pushed in a somewhat corner. It seems like there's always people hanging out inside the store and in the parking lot, I believe there's a lot of drug dealing. There's a man I see almost every time I'm there, he stands by the cashier. It's so close to 61st and Peoria though, where drugs and guns run rampant day and night. I'm not surprised

I really like this store, but one clerk there was very rude, I wish I would of gotten her name. All I can say is if someone doesn't like their job then they should find something different.. You have to speak to your customer's. Its very rude not too!

Have a great cereal sale at 3 for 6$..Odd but can't mix in match? Who wants 3 of the same cereal? I would think as long as it's the same company? The consumer should be able to mix in match! Crazy

The shopping carts are outside which is awkward to navigate through the front doors. The aisles are small and cluttered which is impacted by the fact that stock is sitting around blocking walkways. The staff is polite, though.

Every employee I have seen in that store should be ashamed of themselves.if you can avoid going here please fo so. Otherwise please be prepared to have the police called on you; your belongings to be searched through, and dont expect an apology from these racist people when the police show up and you are exonerated. It would seem that they only want other African Americans shopping in their store. I've talked to the residents of over 3 apartment complexes near this store. There is a clear racial violation issue with this stores employees. They can expect a major lawsuit. This store is trash and needs to be closed for good. They are bringing the neighborhood down.

Always have what you need some of the time. Only thing is it's hard to move around the store with the stuff they stock the shelves with is always in the way hard to shop here.

Says they're open until 9pm, but they have a guy standing outside of their door telling everyone they're closed sooner than that. Tried going there last night just to be turned away. Must not care about sales or keeping customers.

This place always gives me the gibbys. There’s always an incident where someone runs off and the staff are pretty much helpless to do anything about it. They need to have some sort of security or at least more than one person present

The floor was covered in product, boxes upon boxes to the point where you couldn't push the cart through. Huge line due to only one person working a register but she was friendly so 2 stars.

I can't get through the aisles there was carts and boxes everywhere the shelves were really empty and it didn't look very clean
