I have officially dubbed this A&W as the best A&W in the planet! I have stopped here several times over the last several months between my commute from Wichita to Tulsa. I am always created with a smile. My food is cooked to order. And it is perfect! I'm a sucker for the bacon double cheeseburger plus cheese curds and, of course, some A&W root beer!I think the owners actually work the counter and cook the meals. They treat their business with class and respect. Even though I've gained 5 lb since stopping to eat here consistently, I'm not stop at any time soon!

I don't generally leave restaurant reviews, but the staff here were so delightful that it deserved some praise! The food was all delicious and fresh, and the folks behind the counter were so kind and friendly. They provided quick and polite service, they doted on our kids, they checked in to make sure we enjoyed the food...I don't think I've ever had such notably great service at a fast food place before! Definitely stop by and enjoy their hospitality next time you're driving through Tonkawa!Kid-friendliness: They have activity sheets, crayons, and little toys for kids!

No communication between the cashier and the cook. Well, after I had ordered 3 other customers arrived and the cashier would not acknowledge my food waiting until she was done with all 3 orders. Which of course?Did not go smooth.Kid-friendliness: Certainly no place to play, though, In the back there is a grass area for dogs and kids to stretch their legs

This is the cleanest, best tasting A&W I've ever been to! The staff was very friendly n outgoing. The food was perfect, everything was cooked the way we ordered it n came to our table hot! We enjoyed sitting n eating at this establishment n will definitely be back when we come thru here again! Thank you to the entire staff tonight for making us truckers feel welcome!

We came for a small snack and Root beer floats. Cheese curds were perfect pairing for the floats. We also got fries. The service was super awesome. The staff did a great job and should be commended.When in the area again we will probably stop in.Respectfully,BryanOKC

We usually dont see A&W so we got excited when we saw that it was with a truck stop, but this is the worst one we have ever been to, fries were cold, hotdogs were nasty, and the burgers had taste like old meat.. will never return!! Order only a coney dog... and got the coney cheese dog it's disgusting!!

When we walked in and the floor was sticky af, we should have just turned around right away. Not only that, but the food wasn't good at all. The burgers tasted weird and my mother only took a couple of bites and quit. The only reason I finished was because I was hungry and I'll probably regret that decision later. The root beer didn't even taste like normal A&W root beer. This place is gross and nobody should ever eat here. I'll just drive by the Tonkawa Trading Post the next time I'm headed that way.

When asking about something on the menu, the owner or manager came out wearing a nasty dirt and grease covered shirt with stuff falling off of him (while working with food). He began to yell at the cashier then asked me what my problem was for attempting to upgrade from fries to cheese curds. The high chair for our child was nasty so we went and got the gas station food instead. STAY AWAY FROM THIS NASTY PLACE!

Guy that waited on us was rude and hateful. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger no mayo. Got mayo no bacon. Hamburger had been there awhile. Bun was cold like it had been in the fridge. Wanted tea to drink..they were out. He told ME to go next door and get some. Trash needed emptied..tables were dirty.

Really enjoyed the food, and of course the homemade root beer, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Seemed to be severely understaffed (just two employees) for a lunchtime period, so the wait was a bit much. And unfortunately I think they suffer from being part of a joint facility because their restrooms appeared to be taken care of by the attached convenience store, and those were extremely disgusting.

Decided to try out for a spur of the moment date night. Food was fresh, cheese curds, delicious. And the Root Beer, amazing. The young lady at the register was so sweet and helpful. Definitely will be returning.

Watched the 2 young ladies working, go outside for a cigarette. No problem with that, there were no customers in line, the problem occurred when someone does come in to order & neither one wore any gloves nor washed their hands before touching the food. 🤢

I have had better burgers from a gas not only was they cold like cheese would not melt cold but also just smashed together ordered no pickels and could taste nothing but pickels and then to top it all off the manager was talk to the staff like real dogs the whole time looking like he just put the pipe down I myself am very disappointed in this A&W will jot be back

I used to enjoy A&W years ago..but now I know why there are very few of them around.We have eaten at this same location before a few years back.Was not good then either. But we thought we would give them another chance.Sorry we did now.Burger was over cooked and burnt. I asked them to fix it and a girl was in the back giving me a dirty look. She couldn't believe I had the nerve to send it back. They asked if I wanted the same stuff on it, I said yes with NO cheese. When they gave it back it, the burger had cheese on it. The chili cheese fries my husband got were some burnt and others not quite done. Not sure how they managed that one. I know that most food looks better in the ad pics, but NONE of the food we got looked or was half the size as what their pics show.

Food was good. Our server SHEREE was very sweet, helpful. The cook/kitchen personnel was a zero. He was criticizing her from the kitchen. Yelling at her. No person should ever be criticized in that manner. Especially in earshot of the customers. She should go to Human Resources and file a grievance against him immediately. I have no problem speaking up and i told him when he came out of the kitchen that he was wrong. Also that we could all hear. After that it was quiet and we enjoyed our meal. Management needs to take care of the situation. She needs a raise and a vote of confidence.

I realize a lot of fast food burger joints just slap burgers together and make them look very unappetizing, but the fellows working the counter today took time to put some precision in my burger. I really appreciated it.

Had the worst experience here today. Stopped to grab a quick bite around 2pm before continuing on the road, and I should have continued on to Blackwell to eat.. The lack of organization of the staff was beyond belief, and the staff looked disheveled, to put it mildly. It took about 10-15 minutes for people to get their food, some of which were wrong, and some even asked for refunds.The place was not clean, and I had to inform the staff that the trash was overflowing.They seemed to be more interested in standing around talking while the manager was outside on her cell phone smoking.It was unbelievably bad, and it will be my one and only time there.I didn’t even finish my meal.If they plan on staying in business, they need a complete overhaul of staff and management.I would not recommend eating there!!!

Serves was horrible didn't get our drinks till we were almost done the man was rude I got over charged and then a younger woman with long brown hair couldn't get orders straight my stepson didn't get his food till we went up there she didn't even call his name and wouldn't listen to him when taking his order. The other lady that was short was very nice to us my girlfriend was having a episode with anxiety and seizures she was very patient with her and us.
