We needed a very large crate for our two English Mastiff pups to fit in our RV. We presented her with a few issues and Terri said they were up for the challenge. They sure came through. We could not be more pleased with the outcome. Wanting things to look pulled together we also shipped her the valances over the windows and her team matched them perfectly with the kennel. Add a matching raised feeder and all looks fantastic!Normally shipped fully assembled ours came in pieces so that we could get it through the door of our RV. The assembly was seamless. I purchased the custom kennel- double extra large with barn doors and interior divider. The overall outer dimension of the piece 80 x32 x38; the internal dimension of each kennel is 36 x28 x36 (please note that I did not use calibrated tools & that my dogs were in my face as I took the measurements ). Anyhow, there’s plenty of room for my big dog, who is a tall 68lb pit-mix. The furniture is well crafted, durable, and just plain gorgeous. Custom woodworking is an art and this piece proves it! My living room looks amazing with this new addition! I would recommend it to others who are tired of using standard wire crates that take up too much space. The staff were all super helpful and respectfully of time, ideas, taste and functionality needed. We’ve tried different kennel in the past and they always fell short. Their quality and price never added up. When I discovered Kennel and Crate it was a complete change of the one size fits all and everyone. I was able to speak with a person and get ideas and felt that the understood my concerns. My husband and I bounced the idea around and I knew that it would we needed something for the puppies.We decide that we would do a larger kennel due to the puppies sitting almost 7 inches in difference. I spoke with their representative both on the phone and the through text we were able to help design a wonderful double kennel and an entertainment center all is one. I was involved in the full process from picking out stains to picking colors. We choose to drive down and save on shipping with our pickup.Kennel and Crate was very understanding when I had to push back our pick up weekend due to our schedules going crazy.My husband drove down and they assisted him in loading the Kennel into our truck and even provide us a touch up kit along with carpet savers.The piece is solid wood and well manufactured here in our beautiful USA. I love the fact that puppies enjoy hanging out in their new kennels they have plenty of room and it their safe place away from the vacuum. My dogs absolutely love their kennel! They go in their kennel during the day just because they want to be in there, that was not the case with the old wire kennels they had. I think some of that has to do with the fact that I had the casters added to the kennel raising it up about 5-6” and they like feeling that they are in human furniture, especially my 4 yo female dog.I love it because it’s such a beautiful piece of furniture and goes so well with my decor but it’s a the statement piece in my house and I get so many compliments on it. Im so happy I added the casters because it is such heavy, quality piece of furniture that it is so much easier to move for cleaning purposes if my pups have an accident.Thank you Kennel and Crate and thank you Teri for being so easier to work with! Customer service was OUTSTANDING!!!

K&C was awesome from start to finish of my project! Terry is especially responsive and pleasant. She has a wonderful knowledge of her product and used that knowledge to help me especially when I was uncertain about aspects of my design. Terry frequently videos the construction process in their workshop so I could view the progress rather than wondering how it was going! Toward completion of my kennels I realized that I could possibly pick them up myself. Terry and her colleagues expedited the process of renting the U-Haul trailer and even had the kennels loaded and ready to go when I arrived! So I was able to meet them and get a tour of their workshop too!I had never seen a K&C kennel other than online pictures and reading customer reviews. They truly make a gorgeous, quality product made in the USA! Their service is stellar and clearly they love what they do. Every step was a pleasure and that is remarkable in this day and age. Purchased and paid for a custom kennel in August of 2023, and given a three month lead time. In November, reached out via phone and email and text and received an auto generated email saying they were behind on production. Reached out via phone, email, text again in January, and received same auto generated email. Emailed and texted asking for refund. No response to phone, email or text. Has anyone else had this happen? All reviews and info on the business seemed legit at time of purchase, and owner was kind and engaging. We just want our money refunded at this point but cannot get anyone to respond.

It was so fun to work with Terri and design the perfect crate for our two basenjis. I wanted to hide their litter box. Done. Terri suggested a solid panel for the slider where the litter box would go. Needed easy access to the box. Done. Terri suggested a side latch door. Also wanted to be able to separate the crate into two sections if we needed to. Inside she created a panel that latches open and closed. She also got the exact same paint color as our room and stained the top to match our wood floor. The crate blends in and looks made for our room. Which it was. Could not be more pleased. Terri and Kennel & Crate built my Pomeranian (Cupcake) a beautiful custom desk kennel years ago that is wonderfully built and still looks brand new today (I attached a photo).I had to reach back out to Terri for help this year because I had bought my brand new puppy Ariel a TV console kennel (I attached a picture of a TV console kennel that WAS NOT done by Kennel & Crate - I made the mistake of being in a hurry and going with someone local so I would not have to wait for shipping - The materials that were used were cheap and flimsy and it was put together in a hurry with many details out of place - interior not sanded or painted, and it was NOT sturdy or safe for my dog) that was a complete disaster. You can see the barn door fell off. There were screws that actually poked out on the inside that were completely unsafe, and the bars would pop off if they were barely laid against by Ariel.Terri helped my family, Ariel, and myself SO MUCH! Her customer service is impeccable and I can honestly say she went above and beyond! Not only is the kennel beautifully made, just as my Cupcake’s desk kennel was (beautiful paint and stain, sturdy hardware, quality materials, details that everyone can admire), but the experience was great and I will NEVER buy a custom kennel from anyone else again. As you can see from the many pictures of our new kennel, Ariel is already making herself at home. It is so much more than what pictures can even show (oversized barn door, adjustable shelves, metal tripped top, interior chew guards, the list goes on). Terri has a customer for life and I recommend her to all friends and family. If you are looking for a professional and honest company, a piece that will last forever, look beautiful in your home, and be comfy and safe for your furbaby do not look anywhere else! I had been following Kennel and Crate online for over a year and bugging my husband to get one of their beautiful kennels for our two Rhodesian Ridgebacks. Well, finally we did and I don't regret an ounce of it. We even drove over 6 hours just to pick it up in person and meet the K & C team and see inside their shop. What a great experience and to see the work they do and how they do it is amazing.We ordered the double xl kennel with drawers and chew guards. The craftsmanship that went into this piece is nothing but amazing and the love the team shows for their work is even more special. Our dogs love their new kennel and they even have more room than their old plastic kennels, which is a bonus.

Heirloom is a great word to describe these kennels. When we moved from WA to AZ last year, our kennel is the only piece of furniture we brought with us. It's not everyday you realize that you need a high-end, gorgeous, customized, furniture-quality dog crate. (In our case, we realized we needed a crate that would work as a beautiful indoor rabbit hutch for our daughter's two new rabbits.) But sometimes , as it turns out, that's EXACTLY what you need.In our case, we needed a crate/hutch to fit precisely into an existing nook in our family room -- the thoughtfully furnished and decorated room in which our family of six spends most of our "together" time and in which a traditional wire kennel just wouldn't look right. After a weekend spent online finding and reviewing work from the small number of providers who specialize in this kind of thing, we came to the conclusion that NO ONE in the category is doing more beautiful, customizable work than Kennel and Crate. Some back-and-forth emails later, it was very clear to us that we had stumbled on exactly the business we were looking for, so we placed our order.Long story short (or is it already too late for that?), Kennel and Crate built us a crate -- customized dimensions, customized bar spacing, our choice of paint finish, door style, wood stain, distress level, etc., etc. that simply could NOT be more beautiful. It makes the other nice furniture in a room full of nice furniture look good. :-)This kind of thing isn't for everyone. Sometimes a wire crate really is all you need. But should you ever realize that you need an inside "home" for your dog that you'll be proud to display alongside your other nice things, one built and finished with the same attention to detail we care so much about in other contexts, then we could not recommend Kennel and Crate more highly as your provider.Service: Custom furniture
