I'm on a trip with my family, this was the first restaurant we tried. The food was great! I had the fried jalapenos, and an Angel Fire Burger. The burger had mushrooms, jalapenos, onions, and a ton of gravy. The burger arrived on the plate "open" (see attached picture), so you have to assemble it. Definitely need a fork and knife to eat that one. The staff was friendly, and the wait was short! Would recommend 💯

Great customer service, friendly atmosphere, great food & good prices. It doesn't get much better than that. I highly recommend Shellys Cafe.Parking: Lots of parking.Kid-friendliness: Kids were thier enjoying family time laughing & having a great time.Wheelchair accessibility: Shellys Cafe is wheelchair friendly.

We were in this past weekend. The food was really good! I had the chicken fried steak, delicious! My husband had the catfish, it was pretty good. Staff was friendly and took good care of us! The restaurant over all was dirty.... We are not clean freaks or picky people at all, but they need to do some deep cleaning. We will eat here again, just on more casual terms. (Not when we are all dressed up.)

The meat loaf was ok and the greens were yummy so was the potatos and gravy but the hamburger pattie had a bad smell to it that was like a rotten smell I didn't notice it B4 until I started cutting it up and I had topped it with onions so that could have swayed the smell I stopped eating it after the smell. The waiter was very sweet and did a really good job so I did leave a tip.

Slow and disorganized. Came in alone for lunch on a Tuesday at 1130a. The place is rather large inside. It has 4 separate dining rooms that look like someone just keep cobbling onto an existing building. It appears to be a steel building. The dining rooms all have holes cut in the wall with window air conditioners in them. The floors, tables and chairs/boothes aren't in great condition. And all the tables are covered with what I assume to be paid advertising. But boy are they busy...lots of customers.I walked in the front door. A lady standing at a nearby counter told me to sit anywhere. I wondered down the path of interconnected dining rooms and sat at a table in the dining room that was the least crowded. Then I just sat there for 10+ minutes. Several staff and/or waits walked hurriedly passed me several times but never spoke to or acknowledged me.I figured I'd wait a few more minutes and then probably get up and leave. Finally a waitress who was walking by said it wasn't her section but had I been helped yet. I said no. She asked what I wanted to drink and I said water. Not wanting to wait any longer I inquired as to the specials and before she left I told her I wanted the taco salad special.Then I waited another 10+ minutes for the food. Right when I sat down a table of 4 near me left. And when I left, that table they had eaten at hadn't touched by staff... bussed, cleaned or reset. I wonder if this place is always so slow and disorganized.My food came. It looked visually appealing. However, this taco salad was basically some tortilla chips, covered in salad mix with what seemed like chili on it, shredded cheese and sides of sour cream and salsa. The food tasted fine. It just reminded more of sloppy nachos covered in chili than a taco salad.I finished eating and walked to the front counter to pay... and you guessed it, I had to wait 5+ minutes. By the time I got to pay there was a line behind me waiting to pay. The phone rang multiple times yet no one answered....In conclusion, the food was ok. The price was reasonable. The speed of service was slow and the entire place seemed disorganized, from the way the facility was structured to the wait staff etc. i understand all businesses are short staffed and looking for help..... but my goodness, adjust... work smarter not harder. Believe me I have some experience in this area and know of what I speak.What this places needs is a professional restaurant POS system and probably a host person. I suspect the owners/managers are strong back of the house people. They desperately need better front of the house organization, with better systems and processes in place. Doing so would make life much easier on both the waits and the customers....From a customer perspective, restaurants are very simple. We want quality, speed and value. You have to hit two of those points solidly and make an effort at the third. And you can't completely ignore any of those 3. And I feel like they ignore speed here. My time is valuable. For this reason I won't be back.

We were passing through on our way to our cabin in broken bow, made a stop and are so happy we did ❤ portions were big. We didn't even finish our food. I had the chicken salad it was amazing 👏 for a family of 5 we spent 38$ !!!! That never happens lol me and hubby spend more then that eating out without our kids .. so definelty super affordable will stop on our way back !!!! Thank you Shelly's Cafe

I'm soooo happy we found this place!It was suggested by a lady at the corner store.We had breakfast here while waiting for our kid who was in the Road Rulz class.Perfect food. Absolutely no complaints other than I ate so much I didn't have anything to take home.This is the hometown dinner we've been looking for where they make their food with Love.They have 'regulars' and homemade pies and great service!I wish I could pick them up & put them in Wilburton!

My boyfriend and I stopped here to have lunch while passing through Stigler. We saw this cute little cafe called Shelly's. So, we thought, why not? Let's check it out.. As we walked in. We were greeted right away and seated immediately. Our waitress was very nice and pleasant to talk to. We were very pleased with our meals and we plan to make this our little get- away restaurant when we don't want to cook at home. We always get Phil to take care of us because he is awesome. He always knows what we need before we do. French fries here are the BEST in town. Also the shrimp basket is great and so are the burgers.Good food. Clean place and friendly service. Try the country fried steak you won't regret it. Friendly and fun. Thanks for a great meal y'all. 😊Vegetarian options: They have a salad bar and numerous salads for vegetarian options among other things.Dietary restrictions: You may have to do the salad bar or get creative with your order but if you put in the work and time and you are polite they can probably help you out.Parking: Easy to park during off hours. A bit tighter when it is busy time.Kid-friendliness: Kids can eat here. They have kid menuWheelchair accessibility: They have wheelchair access.

My Wife and I embarked on our 5 state road trip vacation, I decided to take my Wife to her home town, Whitefield Oklahoma, stayed a couple days payed our respects to all the family who never left. Drove a few miles to Stigler and stopped at Shellys Cafe for lunch, great place, great people, great service, I had the fried pork chop lunch plate, The pork chop was the same size as my plate and 1/1/2 inches thick, and the rest of my order filled each plate as well, Wife ordered Chicken fried steak lunch plate, That was the Best Pork chop i have ever eaten, Chicken fried steak, best the wife has eaten as well, Shellys Cafe is a great place for Great food and great company. We'll see you soon. That was 5 years ago too. Thank you Shellys 👍
