Our first time using this vet but we are very pleased. Friendly atmosphere and I loved the animals that reside there - so happy. We were hesitant to change but our previous vet had many changes and this is so much closer to home. I highly recommend them. 👌

I’ve been going to Sand Springs Small Animal Hospital for 13 yrs with my two litter mate morkies and have spent 1000’s over the years. They always have done their shots/laser therapy/dental….you name it I would do whatever they recommended. With that being said I will say that’s all been good.I called them on a Monday morning because one of my dogs had a treat stuck in his esophagus. I tell the receptionist that I’m coming in immediately I only live five minutes away. She puts me on hold comes back and says no. I would have to go to the ER because the doctors there all had appointments. I hung up the phone obviously furious I call McKinney vet, who I’ve never been to, and they tell me to come on in!!!Wow…just wow!!!I really didn’t know how to rate the vet because everything else has been fine until this point but to do that is so absurdI called at 8am on a Monday and this is exactly what was said….Me: “Charlie has something stuck in he’s throat. I’ll be there in 5 minutes”Receptionist:”Let me check with the doctors, hold please”She gets backReceptionist: “Sorry, you’ll have to take him to an ER, we only have one doctor here and she has an appointment”I hung up.

Dr. Hawthorne was so good with my baby girl. She was thorough and very detailed in Cookie’s problem and treatment. I’m very happy with Dr. Hawthorne and Dr. Flemming. Great place!

This place is amazing! Professional and have such kindness! They have taken such good care of the 2 different dogs years apart and the service remains the same! Absolutely amazing! My dog gets excited to go see them and trust me that doesn't happen! They treat our fur babies with the same love you'd hope and expect! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! I won't go anywhere else!

I have taken all of my dogs there, for any and everything. Including boarding, surgery and routine shots and check ups. The counter service is maybe slow to the humans.... The whole staff works so well with my dogs, that more than off sets things in my mind. I trust them with my girls.

I love this place. They take the time to listen. They do everything they can do to make sure your animal is healthy. They actually care about your pets health unlike other vet offices where they only care about the money they get paid. This place is awesome and I recommend everyone and anyone to take their pets here. I promise you won't find a better place to take them. Plus they will work with you on payment plans if you need one and they take pet insurance. They take the time needed with love and care as they do as if they were they're own.

This place is flat out amazing and you can tell they actually care a lot about the animals. I took my now 45 lb Border Collie - Lab in when we got her fixed. 15 to 20 pounds at the time and now we have a male Tea Cup Yorkshire Terrier puppy about 6 or 7 months old now. Both times I didn't feel taken advantage of price wise. Then they show they care by words and actions. You are not just a number. BAR NONE - TOP NOTCH. A tiny pricey on shots compared to Southern Agriculture but they completely understood.

Dr. Fleming saved my cat Oliver's life! She had to remove an obstruction from his abdomen and stitched him up so well a plastic surgeon would be envious! Dr. Fleming's entire staff was caring and they would reach out to me to see if I had any concerns and just to check up on Oliver post-op. I have been to other places more expensive where we were treated like we were on a manufacturing line. Dr. Fleming and staff treated us like VIPs! Thank you!!

We had to have our Rottweiler put to sleep because cancer had taken over her body so we took her to Small Animal hospital. Everyone that helped us with our baby that day was so very compassionate and kind to us as well as being very sympathetic and patient. I can't even begin to thank them for how they treated our furbaby and how they treated us during our grieving process. They gave us as much time as we needed. Our 18yr old was with us and had never gone through the process of having to see a pet pass away and they had a very hard time with it but the staff was so very kind through the whole process. We could tell that even our furbaby felt comfortable with them and new they were trying to help her. Thank you all so very much for helping us send our Baby Girl to a better place where she's no longer in any pain.

We have been taking our fur babies to Small Animal Hospital since we got our puppy and everyone there is AMAZING. I trust them fully and know that they truly love each animal who comes in. Their eyes light up each time and my dog gets excited when she sees the girls in there. Highly recommend!

I want to express my appreciation to the Dr and nurses and staff who made me feel welcome with my first visit, and most of all for taking such great care of my handsome Jax. I'll be back! Thank you all! Jax had a swollen foot and high fever and Dr H. fixed him up with antibiotics shot, he was so much better that evening! Thank you all for making Jax well!

Dr. Hartwig is our doctor and she is the best, not only is she very kind but she is an amazing vet she knows her stuff. I personally feel very lucky that we have her. If you need to make an appointment with them I would do it in about a week in advance because they are so good they do stay very busy. The price is also very affordable.

I had to have my sweet dachsie, Bella euthanized last week. It was one of the hardest things I've had to do. Everyone was so caring and compassionate. Yesterday, I received a sympathy card in the mail, signed by all of the staff. I love this vet and highly recommend.

I love this place, but for me it is a long ways to travel. Staff is always friendly/courteous. Prices are slightly lower than a veterinarians. I felt like they treated my dogs good and had no problems afterward. ( I just wish they were closer. )

I am one of those "crazy pet people" that pampers my animals. For years my girl has had chronic ear infections. I've taken her to five different vets, two of them the "more prestigious" in Tulsa, and not once did any of those five vets give the attention and care Dr. Hartwig gave my dog. She sat for about 30 minutes with us, explaining in depth to me what she believed the problem was, steps to help cure and fight it, and all my options. I was very impressed.The inside of the building was a bit dated and I did have to wait a bit past my appointment time, but I'd wait a bit every time for that level of attention and care. It's been about a month since my visit and it's the longest my girl has gone with relief. Thank you, Dr. Hartwig!

We have been taking my dogs here for the past five years (just for the dogs I currently have; longer from previous dogs), and I had an emergency for one of my dogs. I called yesterday to see if they would be able to fit him in, and was told the earliest appointment they had was the next day at 4. I told them I would go ahead and schedule, and would plan on that as long as he did not get worse. He got much, much worse overnight, and the next morning I called to see if they could fit him in earlier since it was an emergency. They are his vet that he has been seeing since we got him 4 years ago so I really wanted to take him to a vet I knew and trusted. I talked to a front desk person, and explained the severity of his condition now, and was met with absolutely no compassion. She told me that she did not have any availabilities any earlier, but would call if they had any cancellations. Why call yourself a Small Animal HOSPITAL if you do not make time for emergency situations!!!? I called another vet in town that we had never seen before, and they said that they would make time for my dog since his situation was an emergency and to just bring him in. I took him in, and he had a condition called HGE. They said had he stayed home all day, and we waited, he definitely could have died from severe dehydration. I am so disappointed in the Small Animal Hospital staff today. We normally love both of the vets we see here, but after this situation; we will no longer be using them or recommending to any of our friends and family. Please keep in mind; they are great for wellness exams, but if you have an actual emergency; if they have no openings, they will not be there to help you or your beloved pet.

I've had multiple visits, severe urgent illnesses and all shots etc, for my two dogs over two years and have had excellent care every time. Dr Fleming has been great. Three times they've told me to bring my ill dog in right away. I feel that they helped them get noticeably better while in their care for a day while they ran tests and got meds going. They had check up calls. They were recommended by a friend who has been taking her dog to them for years.

I've taken my critters here since moving to OK just over a year ago. I recently brought home a puppy with a condition of unknown origin, but with their instruction and provided meds, I was able to get it under control within the first week. Now it is totally gone, and I feel like I have a different puppy.Recently, when I took him back to be neutered, the vet doing the procedure actually talked me out of doing an elective procedure at the same time. Not only did it save me a few hundred dollars, but she really put my mind at ease about the realities of not having it done.
