I have been a loyal client of Sallisaw Animal Hospital for several years and always entrust my pets to their care. We typically see one of the Prewetts, but the entire staff is consistently warm and professional.A couple of years ago, they supported us through the difficult decision of euthanizing our beloved Border Collie, who was suffering and unable to move. It was a heartrending time for our family, but their compassion made the process as bearable as it could possibly be. They handled everything with such sensitivity and respect, ensuring our last moments with him were calm and dignified.Now, we have two girls—an Aussie and what we suspect is an Aussie-Doodle mix. Just like before, the care and advice we receive are exemplary. The staff is not only friendly but also very informative, always ready to offer practical tips for their well-being.For anyone looking for a veterinary service that offers professional medical attention coupled with genuine care, I highly recommend Sallisaw Animal Hospital. They are more than just a clinic to us; they are a part of our family's journey.

Loved the staff and facility. Recently switched vets in order to use someone closer to home. They were extremely welcoming and kind. They checked the dogs over thoroughly, gave vaccinations, and even recommended removal of a couple of tumors on our older dog I wasn't aware of. Very happy with Sallisaw Animal Hospital!

Amazing staff and so informative! Amazing with our fur babies and completely made me feel at ease. That alone is a big one. I used a vet for 20 years and had to go somewhere else due to the change in care for fur babies and the parents and became extremely rude and out of line. So finding someone new to trust is extremely hard. ❤️

My cat was really sick had not ate in 4 days looked like she was dying took her here and she had fever they gave her some shots and put a appetite stimulant in her ear and antibiotics she is doing great now I recommend this place very nice people and informative and caring and know what there doing thank you all.

Working through Covid19, by calling when you arrive. Have questions and symptoms ready to relate when they come to get your pet. They will take your pet in, take care of them, return to you, and doctor calls you on your cell to discuss what went on and to answer any questions. Then, if needed follow up appointment is scheduled.

I have four German Shepards that I take annually for shots and checkups. I have also taken a litter of puppies for their first shots. I can assure you that your pet will get the best care with the most professional veterinarian. He loves animals and he is very good with them. I also took my female to get spayed. Every single time my dogs got the best care at great prices. In the past I have tried another veterinarian but, not again. Dr. Pruitt is excellent!

Dr. Pruitt kept me informed of my dogs treatment and progress. They have kept a very close eye on him in order to ensure he is making forward progress and made sure we knew what to expect if he didn’t. The staff is very friendly and professional.

Love this vet! All of our dogs go there and they are happy to go. We have been to other vets that the dogs were full of anxiety and did not like them. So glad to find this place. Everyone there is friendly and takes time to explain and answer any questions you may have. Definitely recommend taking your animals here. Your pets will thank you!

I called about a bearded dragon they couldn't help but ,but they were helpful and directed me to someone who could help me . I also have a friend who takes Thier pets and they are always helpful and kind. I would recommend them if ever needed

Doesn’t follow American Veterinarians Association recommendations. If we would have continued going by his care, we would have lost our diabetic cat. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. We only took our cat there cause he was already sick and car rides make it even worse so didn’t want to put him through the long drive to Gore to see Cindy, our normal vet. I would recommend Cindy to everyone! She is well worth the drive to Gore, no matter where your coming from. I have even taken my animals to her when I lived in Okc! Been seeing her for over 20 years now and will continue to, until she is gone. Hopefully she will be practicing for many many years to come!

They were quick to get me an appointment for my dog. Veterinarian explained pros and cons of our situation..she stated that they would call me in a week to see if there was any progress..I was a little disappointed that they didn't and I had to call them back. Overall a good experience.

Love Michael Prewett as our dog's vet. Our dog has an autoimmune disease and he was familiar with it, unlike the vet we were using. He is thorough and takes his time with your pet, unlike the vet we were using. Our dog still has checkups in Tulsa for his autoimmune disease, and Dr. Prewett has consulted with our dog's doctor in Tulsa. Highly recommend Sallisaw Animal Hospital.

If you have an emergency and not all the money at once Don’t bother, they won’t work with you period no matter how life threatening the condition of your loved one they would rather let your pet die than do a payment plan, however they don’t mind if you sit in the parking lot and cry while trying to comfort your dying pet. I suggest Dr. Myra Sparkman of Sparkman animal clinic in Muldrow, OK.
