Many times there is issue with the self checkout register and people have been seen leaving without paying and I've even ended up with their items billed to my transaction by mistake. Running a skeleton crew doesn't make a store more effective, instead of raising prices they should improve the quality of the experience as well as for the employees who are overworked and tasked and underpaid.

It's a small town store with friendly people NOW. Well for the moment. That is subject to change. There are different workers each time I go. However the store was clean, well stocked & there was ample help. The restroom was clean. It's usually a good place to grab necessities without having to go to the big box stores we all just loathe visiting!

Lady at check out really friendly! Knows her prices and on top of her game. I went in for ice and Unsweet tea... Only downer not one drop of Unsweet tea to be found. But the lady was really nice and I found everything else I needed!

As far as DG's go, it's a normal DG. However, I'm giving this one a 5-star review for being exceptional! During the Peach Festival we needed a place to cool off, for me (I'm old okay! LOL), the babies (we had a 6-month-old) and our furbabies (she's an 11-year-old Husky, they belong in Alaska! Haha). We went to the very back corner of the store, found a place completely out of the way of customers, and we cooled off for about 25 minutes. In that time, we didn't have any employees harass us, tell us to leave, etc. In fact, the one employee that did say anything was very polite and well-mannered! Thank you, DG, for allowing us to cool off! It means the world to me, and it earned you a customer because I will bring my business to the DG near me now. 😘
