My husband and I visited the shelter when they needed fosters for the animals bc of the winter storm..We saw two huskies, one I absolutely fell in love with. I told them we would foster her then wanted to adopt but was told she had heart worms and wouldn't be up for adoption for at least a month. Today, my husband went to the vet to pick some meds up for one of our furbabies and met a man who adopted the huskies! We were the first there, the first to offer to foster and the first to say we wanted to adopt.We helped them foster 2 puppies when they were overcrowded last summer.I'm so disappointed in them!The staff is rude and very unprofessional!! The volunteers we spoke to were very sweet, but the communication wasn't there!! Makes a person not want to help out the shelter when they are overcrowded. We won't be helping anymore!The only thing I'd recommend is for you to "try" to get a furbaby from there! Hope you have better luck than we did!!

My family and I were driving back from visiting my Aunt this past December in OKC. We made a pit stop in Pauls Valley, OK to give my 7 year old rescue, mostly red with some grays...😂 a quick walk 🐕& potty break. When on a Sunday I hear from behind me "He could be her daddy." I turn around and if the statement couldn't have been truer. Here it is almost a month later! She has captured our hearts. ❤️ She is a Texas girl now but this home will always be greatful to Pauls Valley, OK for our Milan.

A friend and I adopted a dog from them that had worms and ended up getting her $3,500 American Bully sick. Would never go with PAWS in Pauls Valley or anything they are affiliated with. The staff is also extremely rude and unprofessional.
