Love taking my vehicle to pepboys. The workers are so nice and courteous, and they get my vehicle in and out in no time. I love the sense of humor they have(the ladies are crazy funny), they also keep me posted on where my vehicle progress is at through text, they take pictures of things that need to be fixed and for things that check out or pass inspection. I will continue to take my vehicle here for repairs.

My fiancé brought the car in alone and Pep Boys actively tried to scam her. Told her various things, the most expensive being that the struts needed replaced due to “mileage” but couldn’t provide the mile count on the struts because they had no clue when they had been replaced. No squeaking, no issues whatsoever with them.They also told her that she needed an oil additive which would cost her $60…. An oil additive is around $10-15 and they are charging up to $45 to “install” the additive?Told her that the battery she bought 6 months ago needed to be replaced because it was at 70% charge. Not necessary to replace a battery that early.Then wouldn’t rotate the tires because the “tread was uneven” on the tires that were less than 10,000 miles old. Granted the car does need a slight alignment… this is why you rotate tires.I went in with her to pick up the car and confronted the service manager about all this and the only response they could come up with was, “Why come in here if you’re just going to be mad?”I’m mad because you tried to scam someone I care about to make a quick buck. When I confronted her about the “free tire rotation” they refused to do. She claimed we could sue them if the tires “blew up” because of uneven tread????The techs were just being lazy.We should have learned our lesson the first time we came here years ago for an A/C diagnostic. $100 and they told us our compressor was out. Brought it somewhere else for a second opinion. Came unplugged slightly and they pushed it back in. No charge.Do not get work on your car done here.

My experience with the Pep Boys shop was definitely rare. I dropped my keys off at 3pm on a Saturday. They called me at around 5:40pm saying that there was a situation with my car. When the mechanic had went to get mt keys they realized they were gone. They had left my keys on the counter as they were checking out another customer and this customer had grabbed my keys and went home with them. Now they were doing everything they could to get my keys back. They called the customer and he did confirm he had my keys and he would be back in an hour with them. They said he was apologetic and sincere sounding. An hour goes by and still nothing. His phone is now going to voice-mail and they are not only calling him off the business phones but now their personal phones and texting and emailing him. They informed him that if he did not return with my keys by closing time(7pm), that authorities would be notified. 7pm comes around and nothing. The cops were called and they were now involved with trying to get ahold of this customer. He only lived 15 mins away, they had all his information, but still he did not return. The cops did not go to his house for reasons that he was not threatening and sounded sincere(I wish they would have, he may have apologized but still MY possession was in his possession now and that's stealing). After closing time, the employees completely blocked my car in and unhooked the battery so if he did come back for my vehicle, he could not get in. Sunday morning rolls around. I'm calling after they open to see if they have heard anything. Nothing. Finally about 11am the man returns with my keys and HE is the one that's upset because he had never been threatened with the cops. The employee tried to explain to him that what he did was stealing and if he wasn't going to be able to make it in the hour he originally stated that he needed to be more transparent. Needless to say, they ended up giving me as many discounts as they could(it should have been free, honestly since it was ultimately their fault for not putting my keys up when I first handed them over). I probably will be going back just because they really did everything in their power to correct the situation. Overall good service.

Personnel and service were very good. The inventory system needs work. The online appointment system said the tires were there for my scheduled appointment. They were not. The employee's had to call other stores to find the tires and have them delivered. Actual installation was 2.5 hours later.

It costs 100 to find out what is wrong but they didn't find out or fix itThe Mechanics explained everything but the receptionist, Kim, was rudeAnd would not allow me to talk alone to the mechanic.She would not let the mechanic to look underneath my hood to explain what he did.They switched the spark plugs which were not in the correct place without offering to change the plugs.Kim had to be there when i wanted to talk to mechanic. She continued to interrupt our conversation.She was obviously annoyed and impatient that it didn't understand why it cost so much.It cost $320 with the diagnostic charge and the problem still was not discovered until I insisted that it stay overnight.The previous mechanic was not there to continue trying to find out what was wrong.The nextday I wanted to talk to the mechanic and look inside my hood.Kim insisted that I talk to him while she was present inside away from the vehicle.She was the rudest receptionist that I've encountered in a long while.She interrupted us several times.She said it would cost 1100 to stop the leak but still did not know what was wrong.the mechanic had to explain what probably had to be done to stop the oil leak.Thank you for responding so quickly because my car still has the same problem breaking down again this afternoon..I spent 322.and the car is in no better shape!Especially when I paid 100 for diagnostic and they couldn't yell me what was wrong!.

The mechanics were super friendly, can’t say the same for the ladies at the front desk. Minimal communication, hardly any positive or friendly communication. Definitely wish we went somewhere else.

Pep Boys at NW Expressway & Rockwell was deceptive with the initial estimate, had labor duplicated, and parts were twice as much as parts elsewhere. They agreed to let me purchase parts on my own, then they installed them. Final invoice was not shown or discussed, found an optional extended labor warranty was added, which I had no opportunity to decline. Cancellation procedures in writing say to contact the Pep Boys store or submit written request. Contacted store, employee said they have no way to cancel. Said the warranty is automatically included and they have no control over that. Do not use Pep Boys.

Store was nice & clean. Had an oil change and had them ck a code my car was throwing. The Mgr. She was real helpful and didn't try to push any costly expenses on me and suggested we start with something cheap, like my gas cap. Will definitely return to this shop again.

I was told 5 year old tire could not be patched because of federal regulation. The solution was buy a new tire. Good thing Discount Tire was able to repair the tire and at no charge!

I went in 8/11 right as they were opening. The customer service was the best. I was greeted by Neda (pronounced like TA-DA) and she was just immaculate. She helped me find the part my car needed and really had MY best interest in mind with everything she did for me which I greatly appreciate. Ali did the work on my car and I just was so excited when it was done in such a timely matter. He went over car details with me which was appreciated as well. My speaker had gotten stolen and i didn’t bother to get a new one since my car is a 2005 no biggie to me but he carefully covered any exposed wiring for any future speaker ! hands down the best experience I’ve ever had at any car place.

I cannot speak much on the service as after 30 minutes into my appointment my car wasn’t taken. The reason I didn’t stay for servicing today is due to the lack of common decency. As I sat in the waiting room, I heard one of the ladies who worked there in the front loudly talking about how she thinks she has COVID and was laughing about it since she also said she had it around this same time last year. I truly would have stayed, but I don’t believe I had to stay and risk potentially being exposed by someone who doesn’t care about the safety of others. If you feel like you are unwell, do everyone including yourself a favor and stay home.

I Scheduled an appointment for 2 pm a week prior to service. I was there a little early and checked in. I still had to wait 30 minutes before they took my car in at 2:30 pm. However, they had done the wheel alignment I came in for and my car was ready by 3 pm. So an hour all together was not too bad. They discussed the service performed and showed me the before and after result of the wheel alignment. I'm satisfied with this service and work performed. I would recommend them!

Not good from start to finish. I have used this pep boys location for 15 years and the service has tanked. From rude supervisors to miscommunication for appointment times and throwing my spare in the back seat rather than putting it back where it belongs. They cancelled my tire order and failed to tell me until I showed up for my appointment. The process of getting more tires ordered took 3 weeks. I have given them several chances since I am a loyal customer. They have proven they are no longer interested in loyal customers. At this point, if I keep going back it’s on me. I am done.

The staff was helpful and patient. I called to get my brakes fixed and due to a cancellation, they were able to work me in quickly. Great price, great customer service. I forgot the lady’s name that helped me but she should have purple hair by now🤗🤗. I recommend this location for sure.

If I could give ZERO stars I would.While traveling my niece got a nail in her tire. She went into this store 30 before closing and was told they didn't have any mechanics because they all worked 8 hours and left at 6:30. No one would assist her. Why be open? The females working were very rude. One of which was eating noodles while explaining why the auto service & tire store did neither.The neighboring auto parts store employees came to her rescue. I will not do business with Pep Boys ever.

This Pep Boy location has the best customer service! They make you feel at home and they have a large waiting area that is clean and comfortable. I feel like they are very honest. I ordered tires from Amazon and had them ship to this location and took my truck to get them installed. They balanced the tires perfectly.

I have been to Pep Boys a couple times now and I did have an appointment which they got me right in and got to working on my pick up. Their work was very good and fast. They gave detailed information on what they had done and explained why they couldn't do a service. They offered coupons and discounts that I wasn't aware of to try and keep my cost down a little. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. And I like that a woman is the manager. Good job and a good experience having my truck worked on.
