Met a friend at Jennys Bakehouse Cafe in Nicoma Park recently for lunch & treats and it was delicious! We both enjoyed the tasty special: Chicken & Dumplings with Chicken Salad on a Croissant. I chose Chocolate Cake for my dessert and glad I did - so moist and delectable! My friend got a Chocolate/Walnut Brownie and White Chocolate Pretzel Stick. The cafe is super clean & cozy and the staff is friendly and helpful with your selections. Several folks stopped in while we were there to pickup orders of cakes, cupcakes, etc. but there are always other mouthwatering goodies like cookies, brownies, cake pops, fudge, pies & more! (call Jenny for custom creations) Even dog treats! If you haven't checked out Jenny's yet, what are you waiting for?! I love Jenny's! I have known Jenny for many years and she always made her home inviting, warm, hosted anything and everything for her family and friends and this is a perfect extension of her huge heart and that hometown hospitality! She has always been the best cook and wonderful at baking and making cookies, pies, and cakes, and she's even amazing on a grill! We spent hours in her kitchen with all our kids baking cookies and cupcakes, and she even taught all her own kids how to cook, bake and find great recipes no one had tried before. She always makes the best, tasty food even down to her sandwiches. Her treats are always changing, very creative, and she keeps manyunique items in the front case. No matter what you eat there, she makes sure it always has the great homemade taste she does in her own home. That is just Jenny! Period! Cute lil place with a lot of sunflowers for decor and a warm, inviting feel!!

Last Friday I walked in to see if they had the small double layer cake. All were gone and she said she could make me one. Told me Vanilla. Said if would take about 10 mins. I sat there knowing it would take longer. After 20 mins she brought it to me. Frosted and lightly decorated, something my 4 year old grandson could have done! Cake was spice and cost $60. Not worth it at all. Nice people but I didn’t ask the cost before hand so my bad! Very disappointed! Fed it to the birds.

Have been wanting to check this cute shop out. Stopped in today and was greeted with a smile and a hello by the young woman working. I was able to chat with ,Jenny , also. You can tell she is very committed to serving quality and great customer service. I tried the peanut butter pie and the german choc cake cup. They were both very good, but the peanut butter pie stole my heart. Stop by for a cozy spot to spend time and a treat with a friend.

When I tell you I broke my ankle running to message Jenny about this chocolate peanut butter mousse cake when she posted it in March... I AM FO REAL.Saw this and immediately thought it would be perfect for my husbands birthday. AND IT WAS. Probably one of the best cakes I've ever had. Cake was moist, and the filling and frosting were the best tasting PB/chocolate mix ever. 10/10 would recommend her to ANYONE!!!

1st visit but definitely not the last! Picked up a couple of sandwiches to go: ALL the veggies for both sandwiches were sliced fresh as I watched (no bins of soggy pre-cut toppings here), the bread was fresh and flavorful. And fillings were perfect. The bakery case had plenty of delicious choices for dessert. It's easy to miss if you're not looking for it but definitely worth a stop. Breakfast items, baked goods, coffee, floats, sandwiches and wraps. Currently open 6 days/week (check hours).A few tables for dining in.

I ordered my daughter’s birthday cake from here and they exceeded all my expectations. The cake was absolutely beautiful and very delicious. I’ll never get a cake from anywhere else. Now I’ll have to go in and try one of their sandwiches too. :)

First time here, staff were sweet and polite. I got the pesto turkey panini, potato salad, and a key lime pie in a cup. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. Will be back.Edit: Been back multiple times and have to say everything I've tried has been delicious and fresh. The chicken and dumplings were top tier. The banana pudding, the cake pops, brownies, and the chocolate peanut butter no-bakes the other day have kept me coming back to see what other creations they've come up with. Highly recommend.

12/16/23: Food overpriced , unappetising , au jus was bitter , and only 1 in a party of 4 was able to order soup ..and this was barely into the business day. Service was dreadful, one menu between 4 and very begrudging when asked for more menus.We like to support mom and pop type places but the food has to be tasty and the atmosphere pleasant…Jenny’s , sad to say, has neither good food nor pleasant atmosphere. There are 4 people who will not ever return.The most pleasant thing about this little business is the view of the fields as you leave - but you have tobe careful you don’t break your neck on the rocks and pebbles as you pick your treacherous path back to your car.

Oh my absolute goodness! I had my first visit to check this bakery out and it is so cute inside. It was very clean and the owner was so friendly. You can tell she loves each and every thing they create there! The prices are so reasonable too, there’s a deal on almost everything plus really awesome daily food specials too! The everyday food menu looked great, from light meals and snacks, to filling ones like the meatball sub. I never had a macaroni salad like that in my life, it was fantastic.It has the countryside family vibe I love, including a dine in area with many tables that would be great for a birthday party or just to sit with friends and drink a frappe. It’s clean and you can tell they take care to do the things above and beyond for food safety/health.The level of attention on the baked goods is so cute, but the flavoring is even better. I tried one thing, then just ended up leaving with a big bag of items because I realized I MUST try everything eventually. I’m talking they make the big thick type of cookies you dream of, crunchy on the outside and creamy on the inside. They had goodies like baked breads with beautiful texture and color, cheesecakes with awesome flavor variety, and the classics too.To top it off she does large orders and custom goodies. Win-win-win! Never going anywhere else.

I live nearby and have been wanting to try stuff in the area. My wife loves dessert items and I'm more of just a food person. I like the nice home feel of the establishment. The menu is right there and easily understandable. It's nice to see the bakery items right there to view. The smores rice crispy treat is amazing, I had never had such a thing. I would love to get more next time. My wife got a carrot cake cupcake which she enjoyed. I got the Reuben sandwich aswell, tasted very fresh and hot. My wife got the chicken salad sandwich, very good too. I would definitely recommend it for a lunch vibe or just wanting a dessert for dinner.

Last month I needed a fresh strawberry pie for a birthday and had a week to get it. My daughter had seen Jenny's Bakehouse Cafe on Facebook. This is the most cutiest place ever. I felt like I had gone back to a more 'simpler time'. She came to my rescue and the pie was freaking incredible! While waiting on it, several people had come in for lunch and pick up orders. This will be my 'to go' to place from now on. Thank you Jenny. Keep up the good work!

Wonderful food and delightful service!!! Incredible desserts!! We will definitely be back again soon!!! I would like to see them do well enough to pave the parking lot and provide a ramp for disabled patrons, and I will do my best to visit often in the meantime.

The cali sandwich was amazing and everything in the bakery looked soooo good. Jenny the owner was so nice and welcoming made me feel like I’ve known her for years. The sweet treats were decorated for the 4th of July which made it hard not to get everything in the bakery. Even had a handmade jewelry stand with beautiful bracelets and necklaces.

The food is really good. They’re a bit new and getting into the swing of things, so wait times are a bit long for now. However, the quality of everything was very high. The atmosphere is soothing and bright and happy. It is a very nostalgic feeling.The owners are very nice and attentive. Check them out for a good lunch or brunch. Try their sandwiches for sure! Their menu is still expanding, check back frequently!We had a couple of meatball subs and a couple of frappés. The owner had us taste test a really delicious pumpkin caramel frappé and a vanilla frappé. The meatballs on the sub were perfect but it seemed like it needed to be a bit more toasted. They’ve got good fresh vegetables you can get on your sandwich. I got lettuce and tomato and both were very fresh. They deserve all the raving about how delicious the food is and you’re missing out if you’re in the area and don’t swing by

You guys have to go check out Jennys Bakehouse Cafe! We had the sincere pleasure of having her cater my grandpa’s funeral today & when I say she went above & beyond, it was with sincerity in her heart, and at an all-time level. She allowed Dawna Hunt Cox and I to come into her shop and sit down with her to discuss everything and she thought of the little things like silverware and chips, things we weren’t thinking of in the emotional moment. She come to the funeral home, sat up, made sure everything was perfect, & was in/out like a ninja. But Jenny’s didn’t stop at just amazing customer service, HER FOOD WAS DELICIOUS TOO! Every single person complimented on the bread and how tasteful & soft it was. in addition, the sandwich halves weren’t tiny little triangle cookie-cutter sandwiches, they were decent sized 1/2 size sandwiches! Furthermore, she brought every condiment you could imagine. My personal favorite is the horseradish mayo 😋 Jenny’s defines “not all heroes wear capes”.If you are ever in the Nicoma Park area I recommend stopping in and trying not only a sandwich but her bakery as well! I had the personal pleasure of trying her cheesecake, and 10/10 recommend it!Let’s make Jenny’s Bakehouse Cafe off 23rd in Nicoma Park a local hit! I recently found Jenny and I'm so glad we did. Not only is she professional but makes you feel like you've known each other for years. She did a charcuterie board for my baby shower and it was a hit! She was a tad late. But I understood her running a business and it was busy. Me and my husband been restaurant before and we know how it is. I told her I was just making sure she showed up late or not. And she did and delivered!! She did everything and more highly recommend.

This place is a hidden gem! I had the Italian sandwich, and a slice of Oreo pie. Everything was AMAZING! The prices weren't bad, and the customer service is top notch! Not to mention the inside of the building is very welcoming! Definitely worth trying this place!

Originally I had come here before Christmas and got a subpar smoothie and the wrong treat by mistake on both my end and theirs. Sadly I didn't get a chance to come back until more recently to try a few other things. I love the macaroni salad and when I tried their salted caramel macaroons I was delighted. Definitely a lovely spot to come to whether your sitting in or taking it with you.
