I just stopped in today to make a cash deposit to my CashApp account, but generally speaking this is a really good location. The employees are always courteous and friendly, and today was no exception.

Well, at least the most recent reviews are not bogus five-star reviews and are likely legitimate. The managers must have an AI app or some samples as the workers at these stores are not capable of writing a detailed five-star review.*I stopped at the store around noon on Monday. While driving up the parking lot had trash and debris. In fact I stepped on and tripped on a smashed drink bottle walking to the front door.*When I got to the door the lights inside appeared to be off and the sliding front doors were locked. There was no sign on the door to indicate why it was locked. Come on Family Dollar what the heck?

It’s now 8:43am Sunday morning and the hours are supposedly 8:00am-whenever yet this is the second time I’ve come during the 8:00 hour and the store is still closed yet lights are on and there is an employee inside. Of course no one answers the phone when called either

Employee who served me was incredibly rude both times I interacted with her. Employee was possibly 50-60, Silver/white hair pulled back in a ponytail. Did not greet me while looking directly at me when I walked into the store. I asked her if they had any of the family dollar brand triple A batteries while standing at the battery display. She sighed loudly and told me, They wouldn't even be where I was and pointed to another endcap Where still there were no AAA batteries. As I went to pay I jokingly told her that there must be a run on their $1 packs of AAA batteries as hers was the third Family Dollar I had been to in search of those batteries. And everyone was sold out. She stared at me blank faced and said "So". And just told me my total. I was so taken aback by her rude response to me that I handed her the $5 bill while I dug in my pocket for the rest of the total amount, She then held up the $5 bill and said my total again one number at a time in a very loud and slow voice. This may not seem like much, but I am a frequent shopper at several Family Dollars in the office and am used to very courteous employees who are happy to be greeted by shoppers and engage in the usual small talk. In fact, I had just come to their store from the store at 32nd and N. May where I had an approximate 10 minute conversation with the manager and employee on duty about the lack of AAA batteries and the closure of the store on NW 39th street due to structural damage. I will not be returning to this store.

Would give it a five but it is severely understaffed which is a corporate problem along with people thinking they don’t need to work these days. But it’s kept out together somewhat and in most cases when in similar stores it’s not even somewhat put together so I give them props. There are two amazing cashiers I’ve had the experience of getting and they were extremely friendly.

This store is so dirty. You have managers eating at the registers while touching money. Then you have an old white manager talking about her employees in front of customers. This place is so ghetto.

Horrible experience here. The cashier Cyd was extremely rude when I questioned the price of a product that rung up more than what the lable displayed. They had red tape over some of the prices and the only price that was shown was $5 I would have let it go but the cashier just had a bad attitude asking "are you gonna get it or not". She walked away and told me they don't pay her enough for this. She then called the manager (Nora) who was worse than the cashier. She didn't seem too interested to hear what I had to say and rushed me along to show her the price display. She then went on to tell me how the product was discontinued ,started raising her voice, going back and forth with me, told me "you can leave my store" and walked away as if I were an irate customer. I didn't feel at all valued as a customer and from the vibe, it seems as if they knew they would get away with it. I strongly feel that the BBB should check this place out. I don't think I'm the first one. They won't be getting my business.

The store 3838 north Portland closed twenty minutes early. They closed at 21:40. I came up to the door and they just looked at me and shook their heads. Very disappointed. 18 may 2023

This was a sad sign of the times. This Family Dollar, like many others in the OKC area has been closed down for a few weeks. The lights are out and the store is still full of merchandise, but there are no updated signs or anything saying when and if this store will ever open again.

Wonderful employees. As I entered I hear a cheerful employee talking to a customer. Made me feel good thinking she takes a second to ask how someone is doing that apparently was a regular customer that hadn't been in for awhile. When I checked out the employee was sweet and we chatted while she rang up my purchases. She ask me if I had the Family Dollar store app. It told her no and she explained briefly the bennifits and where I need to go. I felt very at ease. The store is well maintained and I'm in and out fast. I'll be back for sure.

I walked in and i said its a beautiful day out. the lady behind the front desk said yes it Is . walk by the manager she was doing a reset she was the most coldest unfriendliest woman I've never met! I looked at her and smiled she gave me a scowl back. reminded me of a woman. Which name started with a K. And that was management. Ill never go back.

DONT GO!!! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!Like everyone else on here, I was treated very poorly by the old white lady with a attitude.I literally left my shopping cart and walked out without purchasing anything because I was so offended by this poor excuse of a employee. I vow to never step foot in this store until the fire that miserable slouch!!! COME ON FAMILY DOLLAR, DONT LET ONE BAD APPLE SPOIL THE BATCH!!!

Item was marked on sale but refused to sell at that price. Item was clearly marked on sale. Manager Josh would not even check. Benny the cashier was extremely rude. All that was needed was a polite apology and hassle free refund. Will never buy anything from this location again.

I went in to get a griddle to make French toast, they didn't have one, so I left and was chased out by the cashier like I stole something. My boyfriend confronted her and she said "it is my job to protect my assets, I do this to everyone." Needless to say I'll never be back.
