Love this place. I only ever get my feeders from here for my ball python since she doesn't like frozen. Come to know the owners decently well, and they're great people. Also always fun to come see the pets they have for sale and seeing the birds sing and talk.

We walked in and there was no sign on the door or anything bout not taking new clients but said he wasn't taking any new clients and in a weirdly mean manner and then Tried to play it off nice and then he takes a new custmer after us.. yah no thank u never again would not recommend the Tractor supply across the street million times nicer people there

Very clean and well organized pet store. The owners are super friendly and so is the pet chicken that runs around the shop greeting customers (yes, you read that correctly). Prices are very comparable to those of other pet stores, and even better than those of the big chain pet shops. The animals are clean and healthy as are the enclosures the animals are kept in. The shop owners are very knowledgeable about the animals that they sell and will take the time to answer any questions you might have to make certain that you can make the animals more than just pets but part of your family.Stop by and take a look around. Even if you aren't looking for a new fur/feather/scale baby... they have everything your current 4 legged/winged/finned companion might need to be just a little more pampered! You won't regret dropping in.

Very friendly front of house, absolutely loved the guy I spoke with. Was in and out without a hassle. I bought a bunny and a cage today, the cage came with bedding, food, and bowl+water supplies as well. The Bunny is absolutely adorable too, cute little baby girl ♥ She looks like a fluffy cloud. When held she doesn't spazz out and seems very social and friendly. Must better to buy from them compared to walmart/petsmart/petco/ect. I'm very very very happy with the purchase and will definitely come back to them for any future needs. Thank you guys so much. The whole purchase was $142, very affordable too.

This place is awesome! Another pet store sold the bunnies I was going to purchase when I was on my way. I live 2 hours away and was getting them for my daughter’s birthday. So I called and she was willing to stay late to help me out because they we’re going to be closed the following day. Owner was very friendly, prices were good, and she had everything. I am a die hard Walmart fanatic, but this is one of the few independent stores I will go out of my way for to support. I genuinely love everyone who works here so much, they're a fantastic family and always have such happy and healthy looking animals. I've adopted two rabbits from here previously, and both have been very sweet, dolice, and even good with handling! The grand-daughters are very sweet and just overall it's very nice going here.They have tons of birds, hedgehogs, chinchillas, rats, mice, guinea pigs, gerbils, bearded dragons, skinks, leopard geckos, rabbits, puppies, and I think there used to be ferrets? Unsure if they still have them, but previously they have!They have CBD treats as well, their own bakery items, food, litter bedding, toys, collars cages, tanks, and anything else you could imagine. Very well stocked store.There's even a little chicken that sometimes walks around and watches customers. He's very cute!Please support them and keep them going strong!

It was a trip with grands that landed us here... My granddaughter wanted to pick up a few things for her newly acquired hamster.... this was a perfect stop they had the little balls for the hamsters they had a little handbags that you could carry your hamster wherever you wanted to go ....birds of all varieties it was more like a petting zoo where you could purchase the pet that you adored the most and for entertainment there was a little chicken that could actually play the piano!!! This was a real treat for the youngest one in our group whom was three. And for pet lovers that like things a little more on the squeamish side they had some of the most beautiful tarantulas that I have ever seen in captivity and also some different types of reptiles it's just a little family owned operation with lots of goodies in the owners are more than pleased to answer any questions you may have.

Very cool pet shop. It is so much bigger on the inside than what it looks!! Good variety of literally everything and lots of accessories to go with each genre of pet (dogs, birds, reptile, fish). I also have seen a few rabbits and a ferret once. The owners are super kind & always accommodating. Reminds me of a diamond in the rough kinda shop- better quality animals and conditions than Petsmart or Petco.

This pet store is a Tardis! It looks so small outside, but their selection of pets is ridiculously huge. All the habitats are clean and the pets are in great health. The free-range chicken is ADORABLE! They have lots of birds and fish and reptiles and amphibians. There is so much to look at you won't be able to see it all in just one visit. Definitely a shop to stop in!

They are so friendly, and walk you through anything you need help with!My son started his own glo fish tank, they have helped him with anything his little heart has wanted with his tank. I will forever continue to come to their store because how amazing they have been with my son!

I cannot recommend this pet store enough.First, they are 10× more humane than big brand pet stores. Their breeders are small scale and local. They get their rabbits from 4h kids. If you get a pet from them you know it came from a loving home rather than a factory style breeder.Second, they are one of the last locally owned pet stores around. Support local!Third, they have an extensive knowledge base and will help you with all your pet questions... even AFTER your purchase.Fourth, they have a broader selection than your average pet store. They have unique exotic pets that are hard to find anywhere else.

Prices are VERY high. I did some research and found I was charged double retail price on some products.Edit to update- I have recently check other family owned pet stores with cockatiels selling for $250. This place charged me a whopping $500. Technically $550 because I HAD to get a cage and if I didn't they would've still charged a $50 "fee" to take him without the cage. Honestly finding out this information, I feel robbed. Do not go here. Rudys pet shop is far better than this place.

I've been shopping here for years, they greet me by name. I am impressed with animal, reptile and product knowledge as well as successful rescue efforts on several wild animals in need!Hand raised/fed birds a +++ (if you've ever owned fowl it make a huge difference)They keep cages/tanks clean and move things around keeping visual interest.I've never seen the same puppy in this local shop for more than 2-3weeks.They are the only people I will trust my dogs nail clippings with (I've learned the hard way too! ) my dogs have always been well care for and grooms have be great, but I have low maintenance dogs as well. Pricing if not the same often times less than big stores especially in the dog jackets, leads, apparel, tanks, bedding and feed. I will keep my $$$ at this shop to support local small business. There is NO reason not to....

Nancy and Shawn are the best!!!! I drive over 50 miles round trip to get my two dogs groomed by them. I've been a customer for over 10yrs! The prices are good and they treat my dogs like their own.

This is a nice little local pet store with nice owners and staff. Everyone was helpful and patient with my 4 year old son and me. They care about their animals and appropriately matching them with the right home. The cages were well kept and clean, and the animals were in good health. They have a large selection of animals, from snakes, lizards, geckos, turtles, tarantulas, and some fish, to various birds (including some Bourkes parakeets and parrotlets!), bunnies, ferrets, chinchillas, rats, Guinea pigs, and hedgehogs! There are plenty of cages and supplies to choose from. Overall a pleasant experience and we plan on returning!

Grooming services could be better. I have a puppy that I took up here twice all they could do was complain about him. His nails are so sharp after the grooming. This has to be one of the worst grooming experiences ever. I have had two other dogs for 15 year and never had these issue anywhere else. I feel like they only want to groom older dogs.

Stopped in today after driving by to look around. Shop was spotless animals looked amazing (and oh so adorable may I add) and even found a play stand for my Ekki! The people running the shop were knowledgeable, friendly and personable! Will be stopping in anytime we need bird or dog accessories! Shawn went above and beyond helping me load my new toy and even offering me options for ordered foods etc. New favorite place!

Family Owned business who does very well keeping up with their animals! They always have a car or dog running around to greet you! They have a HUGE selection of pets as well!Huge selection of treats, food, collars, leashes, etc- cages- fish- you name it!!This place is a little pricier but their quality is worth it! You won’t be disappointed!

Amazing bird selection!! and bunny’sand even puppies. They have reptiles to pick from. And staff are nice. There selection of cages are to die for. Unlike any petsmart or petco I have been too. Great selection u can’t get at non family owned pet businesses. They have everything from fish to tanks to beautiful drift wood. Super happy I found this store. I can buy my bunny food and dog supplies here as well.

Me and my family love this pet store! We get all of our pets from there. All of their animals are very well cared for. The animals themselves are very sweet because the pet store owners handle them, unlike PetsMart. We have been going to this store for the past several years and we have nothing but good things to say about it. Please visit this store.

Visited for the first time.-------THE PROS:*I was greeted by a man working the front. He seemed very personable and helpful, as I saw him zipping around the store to help the wave of people that had come in right after me. The only other staff I saw was a woman caring for the birds and small animals.*There were lots of items packed in the store, which meant that there were products that you usually don't see for sale locally. In particular the fish and reptile supply seemed really good.They had taken in a dog that someone was going to abandon. I don't know if they were asking a price for rehoming it.-------THE CONS:*Prices are high. Not outrageous. But it's expected of local pet stores to have higher prices than online.*The animals were not being kept in good conditions. Most of the animals seemed OK, but the cages were small and looked dirty. In particular, the small animal section was the scariest. Tiny plastic critter keepers that looked like they needed a good soaking and scrubbing. There was a giant angelfish hanging vertically the entire time I was there because the tank was stuffed with live plants and there was no room for it to swim. Bettas had 1/4-1/3 water volume in their cups, I assume to keep them from jumping out of the cups which did not have the lids on them (the lids were sitting on a shelf underneath the cups). The snails had white shells (calcium deficiency). I did not take a close look at the birds or reptiles as I am not as familiar with them.*While they had a nice selection of fish/reptile items, I felt the bird/small animal items were a bit lacking. Lots of cages and aquariums, but not much variety in food, hay, toys, etc.*They sell puppies. Almost all pet-store puppies are straight from a puppy mill, folks. If you want a puppy, adopt or buy from a reputable breeder. I am automatically disappointed when I see a pet store that sells dogs or cats.-------Previous reviews are 2+ years old and say that the store is clean and animals are well cared for. So perhaps it used to be better. I'm giving 3 stars because of the item selection, OK staff, and convenience of location for Mustang locals and the addition of the grooming salon. But I felt bad for most of the animals in the store, they sell puppies, and prices are a bit high.

Lots of unique animals and good selection of pet supplies! The people are very knowledgeable about the different pets! They helped a lot when my son got his hamster. They are also very friendly & helpful! Highly recommend!

Great selection, but they have more animals in there than petsmart but the place is 1/4 of the size. The animals had hardly any water and no food, there was a bearded dragon in a 5 gallon cage with only uvb. No heat or thermometer. Even a baby shouldn’t be in that small a cage, or double that size. There were 4 lizards in a 10 gallon cage. 2 leopard geckos, a full size bearded dragon, and a lizard that I never heard of. Please take better care of these animals. I wanted to cry because of how bad it was.

Took my Yorkie mix in for grooming. He is recovering from an ACL injury (from chasing a squirrel). She was very careful not to re-injure his leg. Gordy can out looking cute! I highly recommend! Great job.

I was horrified to see two Syrian hamsters(Syrians should be in cages by themselves), 1 dwarf hamster, and handful of rats all in one tiny section of a round cage.... those animals are territorial and are prone to fighting each other TO THE DEATH..I'm surprised they aren't all dead...I came a 30 minute drive to see that kind of treatment to animals... it's sad that petsmart/petco treat their animals better than this. I love pet shops but this made my heart sink into my stomach...I was polite and friendly despite my heartbreak.But I will admit they have a nice unique hamster/chinchilla/ferret items area and the people there were really nice. I feel bad to give such a horrible review but hamsters and rats should NEVER be in the same cage let alone have more than 1 Syrian in a cage (other than for breeding)... please fix this.

I understand that they are a family owned and operated store and its hard to find good help. But the knowledge they have about of my questions whether its jeff, nancy, or shawn i get the answer and they usually even have some recommendations and even have the stuff in house. And they have even offered to help me find my puppies a new home since it was very unexpected for my dog to get pregnant. They stay really positive to customers and try to make everyone as happy as can be. Ive been a strictly pet lovers customer since i bought my first snake from thrm 3 years ago. Petsmart will be super friendly but the care they take of their animals behind closed doors is absolutely disgusting. Ive had a rare glimps behind the scene at pet lovers and the animals are well off.
