Very secluded camping area which is nice. We saw some wild life in action and it was so cool. The golfing is close and so it eagles pass which is for rock climbing. We don’t have an UTV so we just watched others have some fun.

Was up to my ears in American Bald Eagles, OHV trails and some of the friendliest staff, locals and fishermen I’ve probably ever met. The 2 days I spent there I wish could have been a full week. Good times and will be back!Restrooms: Clean and well stocked

The people are friendly, ... And the bathrooms are clean......My husband and I stayed here a couple days ago. It was loud at night and very bright. Lots of traffic, road noise. If you are tent camping, and you are a light sleeper, I do not recommend. Other than that, it was very nice. Nowhere to swim, besides the pool.

Great camp ground. Clean, quiet, not overcrowded. Definitely coming back. The proximity to trails, the Neosho River, the dam, etc. Make it a wonderful location.

Beautiful! We go to watch the wildlife. Lots of baby deer playing with their mom's. Many different water fowl. It's so peaceful there.

Camping at the grand Cherokee and the sites are nice, all pull through, and have full hookups. Showers are open. Very pretty site with a view of the dam.

Quite and a great place to camp. Our camp host went above and was really nice. Camp was clean, no trash and got to see quite a bit of wildlife. Deer, groundhogs, and tons of birds. Far off the main road so no road noise.

Such a disappointment! We were expecting nature trails, tranquility, a chance to connect with wildlife. This place has disgraced the Cherokee name! It is full of empty beer cans, noise of atvs and motorboats everywhere. We drove 25 minutes to Bernice Area just to find a nature trail for hikers! This name should be changed for sure!!!! Not upholding Cherokee traditions here.Restrooms: Terribly dirty. No soap.

Great place to camp and fish. They were under water so they have no electric spots

Our second visit and had a nice time. The park has a lot of deferred maintenance and many of the park visitors seem to care less about keeping it nice. People park on the grass, damaging it, and don't pick up after their pets. The road into the park is in bad repair, and you can no longer see the center line stripes and Guard rails have rotted away. Great place to stay if you love to fish.

Where to start,,,Norma and Tommy own and run the place, nicest people you can meet.Full RV hookup with drive through access, shower and toilet-which are extremely nice and well maintained, and laundry.Off from any major road so very peaceful, but a stone throw away from the lake. This is a major rock crawler site as well with all the damned up river beds, with the water attractions. Cant wait to see this place come labor day. Should be off the chain. The prices are very affordable for all the amenities that come with.I've seen the KOAs and bigger parks,,best I can say is Cherokee is the gated community open to the public where as the rest are like over crowded ghettos on wheels.Cherokee Spirit is the place few know about but everyone should.

We visited this park twice this fall. All campsites are full hookup, pull through, level, and have a lot of space. The camp hosts, Otis and Chris, keep the area in great shape and are friendly and very helpful. There is a lot of wildlife to view and fishing nearby. There is a grocery less than 5 miles to resupply when needed. The weekends can get a little noisy with the ORVs, but it's super quiet and peaceful during the weekdays.

Loved it, quite, peaceful, clean. Easy access in and out and love the dump station at each campsite... just wish there was more of an area to get to the water to fish ...

Tent camped in Rec. No. 2For camping that does not require bringing your own water, they need to fix the bathrooms, shower, and to create a water spicket for Tent campers(had to used RV hookup that wasn't rented). Trash around campsites but not in the campsites. Reservations must be online, view was pretty and there are boat ramps at the state parks for public use. Could hear the side by side ATVs late into the night across the street riding the trails.

The campground it self was nice ,paved roads, big camper spaces & nice big shade trees. BUT we noticed so much littering around the roads leading to the camp site not in the actual camp ground. Even though out the tails. We picked up other peoples trash when we are out on the off road park! Beer cans & glass bottles. That was disappointing to see.

One of our favorite camping spots. Peaceful and feels like it's hundreds of miles from any city, even though it's 5 minutes from Langley.

Nice tranquil place. If the turbines are running, it's this is a good fishing place. If they are not running, it's a good place to sit under a shade tree and pretend like you're fishing

Great spot for eagle watching! I think we saw 6-8 total. Otherwise it was a lovely area close to kept up camping grounds, river views, and 4 wheeler/bike trails.
