Routine care and wellness exams are always mundane. It's not until you find yourself in an emergency situation, that you realize what a truly wonderful clinic this is. Everyone from the desk attendant running a million miles a minute, to the vet tech who explained my meds. Both times, the clinic was fully booked, but made arrangements for me to drop off my cats instead. The vet called me on the phone to talk about what was going on and treatment options. I can't express how grateful I am for this option! If I had to wait two days until the next apt slot who knows if I'd still have my cats today. The staff is very sweet, didn't ever make me feel silly or pessimistic, and thoroughly explained everything to me. They don't price gouge you, and push every single possibility on you. In our experience, they treated each symptom one at a time to see if we could rule out the cause of sickness/infection, before ordering more expensive testing/consults. We've only been in the area for a year, but I can tell you this office surpasses any vet clinic I've ever been to in my life back home. We are blessed to have them in our community!

Coming from Paris Tx im so thankful these guys have an emergency line and were willing to come in super late to help my baby even though I’ve never visited them before. I know how much it must suck being woken up in the middle of the night, and coming in and caring for an animal you’ve never seen before is a superhero to me and my cat. Super caring and attentive people. 💜 Thank you for saving my fur baby!!

This vet made himself available for an after hours emergency that my other vet dropped the ball on. They are the ONLY reason why we have a safe momma and safe puppies today! Beyond grateful for them, and will tell everyone what a great experience we had, although it was in the middle of the night on Christmas. Thank you 1000x from Sterling and her babies!

I came in Monday afternoon to have a puppy from my litter (that they preformed a c-section) on checked out for a snotty nose, possible deaf puppy and to see if there was any reason for her being a picky eater. (Puppy was diagnosed as upper respiratory infection, confirmed deaf and clear fecal) my puppy brought in I planned to keep so I had them add her to my account and spelled her name out for her. They had her name wrong, WRONG GENDER, and wrong birthdate even though I provided all of that over the phone especially name and birthdate. Puppy was seen by vet so they could clearly see the puppy was a female. But was still labeled as male. Paid 126$ and left with medicine after they showed me how to give it and the amount. Medicine was provide for all puppies in the litter as preventative/possible treatment cause some weren’t showing signs. All puppies were treated the first day. The second day one was treated then I realized not enough medicine was provided but it was past hours so I didn’t bother calling. I tried calling multiple times the next day, then didn’t get ahold of them till late the day after. Now my pups have gone two days without treatment on one medicine given. They hang up the call halfway through. Didn’t call back and also don’t answer when I call back. So I go up there. Waited 30 minutes to hear “are you paying cash or card?” I paid for the medicine already and shouldn’t have to pay for the correct amount again. They come out and say they did it correctly and I should pay. They say they trust their staff to give the correct medicine… the same staff that can’t tell my puppy apart for male to female? Oh and then she says my puppy was two weeks old… the same stuff that can’t tell the difference between a 2 week old pup and a 6 week old pup? There’s quite the difference. Ultimately they have lost my business over approximately 20$ worth of medicine… probably sold to me at a premium of 20$ worth of medicine not their actual cost of it. I had an appointment on Monday to give sets of shots to 4 pups plus their mother and x-ray a pregnant female from my understanding that’s around a 500-600$ appointment lost. Why would I be trying to scam for 20$ worth of medicine? Ultimately the professional was poor, I did like the service Karla provided but all other staff was disappointing. Nothing was done to rectify the situation I felt besides me pay them more money when I felt I shouldn’t have and they didn’t offer an alternative. Disappointed and will not be going back. I’ve worked at a vet and I’ve seen the neglect they can do. As a breeder it’s important that a vet is good. Especially one that gender my dogs correctly and tell the difference between a 2 week old and 6 week old especially when they provided the c-section on the mama these pups are from

I brought a precious puppy to them. She was a victim of physical abuse and had the parvon virus (which was diagnosed after she was registered).The precious puppy only lived till the morning. River Valley gave her the best last 12 hours of her life. I was in great hopes of being her forever Mom, but God had other plans for her.I’m so grateful to RVVC for the love and care they provided for her. In her last moments she was loved and treated with the utmost respect.

I have just recently moved back home, after 40 something yrs. Looking for a new vet is always daunting.I was so pleased. The staff was friendly.But the dr. Has to be my favorite vet I've ever !My chihuahuas babies 18 and 16 are sadly aging (against my will)! He took the time to explain everything to me. He showed me videos online, gave me print outs and helped me understand he answered all my questions and then some.My male has congestive heart failure. He is doing everything he can to help him be comfortable until we can't anymore. He showed me the exrays along with a comparison of a healthy dog and thoroughly explained everything.My female has always been hyper sensitive and he actually gave me the correct medication , first time around. It has made such a huge difference for her her very first dose.I'm so happy I have a vet that listens and truly cares about all of us.

Great vets! Very friendly and you can tell they really care about animals. I've already great experiences. I lost a dog after 16 or so years and for a small fee the owner took Baby and buried her on some of his land. I would highly recommend River Valley Vets.
