What started out as a rave review quickly became the story of a dishonest restaurant. Got a grilled cheese and a footlong coney.The Grilled cheese was excellent. Many times, they over brown (burn) the bread on these sandwiches lately. This one was done perfect and was worthy of the Sonic name. HOWEVER….I started eating my footlong coney and halfway through, I had THREE bites of nothing but bread, chili, cheese and onions!!! Apparently, they used 2 smaller hotdogs at each end of the footlong bun to make it look like a footlong, but it actually wasn’t! VERY disappointing.

I am local and often go through the drive through. Today I sat for approx 15 minutes waiting on the car in front of me to order. I gave up and went inside. The lobby and the order prep area that I could see were so nasty. I can't unsee that disgusting mess. I will never go back.It has been poorly ran for some time now. Terrible service and the employees will often tell you that they don't have several items on the menu.

I ordered a small banana shake here. That's it, that's all. It took well over 10 minutes to get it and there were 2 other people inside and they already had their food. If you are driving on the interstate I advise you to drive past and get something somewhere, anywhere else. I truly regret stopping here on Sunday November 12, 2023 at 4:30 local time.

Building insides need a severe upgrade and update. Our good was prompt and tasted like any other Sonic although the bread on the burger and foot long Coney were soggy. They give small cups that are filled to the top with ice then filled with drink so the liquid is minimal. Other than that though it's great to be able to stop at a truck stop and get something other than the normal truck stop food.

Was actually excited at first to have Sonic as a food option as a trucker, but was highly disappointed in my food when I got it. I ordered an American Dog and was so disappointed——the bread was hard as if it had been sitting out in the open for some time, the hotdog was also hard like it had been sitting in water, overcooked for some time. Here’s a picture of what an American Dog should look like VS what I got!Also, the place is infested with flies. I assume it’s a whole building problem as Love’s Truck Stop is also infested with flies. As being in the food industry, you guys should really take care of that problem!

This place was so filthy. The glass doors had greasy finger prints, the trash cans were completely full. The tables were dirty. I was hesitating if I should order. I was starving, so I did. I ordered the ultimate sonic breakfast burrito without sauce meal. The egg was over cooked & dry but other than that it was good. The tater tots were perfect. I ordered a cherry coke. No refills? The staff member who took my order was really nice. Based on the uncleanliness, I hope I don’t get food poisoning. 😬

I like the idea of walking up and sitting down to get sonic food. There weren't too many people inside, but I did notice they would order and pick up and then leave. The food was ok, I guess you have to ask for onions on the chili dog. I had to ask for mustard and ketchup for my tots, which I didn't eat anyway. They were cold and tasted old. They have the drive thur also. So you can have it both ways. There are a few parking spots in front.

Donna my server was nice... That's about it..Never opens on timeTables dirty took a lot longer than normal to get our food & of coursedry burgers again and for the 2nd time I got more food then I ordered... Manager chick bagging it... Just nasty...Sonic just don't cares anymore ‼️‼️Agree with the reviews...Hope I don't get food poisoningThey need a better restaurant in there... maybe recommend that to Love's... Maybe a burger king or something decent..As a manager at Denny'sTHIS IS NOT THE WAY TO TAKE CARE OF CUSTOMERS...

My original comment was issues with drive thru and service wasn't going well.They respond to feedback but I haven't seen much change yet. It's seems to have gotten better recently I will keep updating.It's gotten slightly better as of the new year. Still food isn't the freshest, and of course, there are always the few bad workers who screw it up for the whole restaurant. Still getting better give it a try.Kid-friendliness: Toys in kidsmeals but atmosphere is lacking big time.

It is either their staff or who trains the staff is one who rides the “ short bus” every third time I get food there I tell them that I want the item and not a “ combo” and when I check my item to eat there is just the item with nothing on it! American hot dog with no combo. I get a hot dog on bread with nothing on it! A supersonic burger, I get bread meat and cheese with nothing else! This has happened to me several times at this location. I think Sonic has the best burgers in the industry when made right but their items when “ plain” are not very good at all. Check your order before you leave the restaurant! Nothing like looking forward to a nice meal to find it so lacking. And as I said it matters not what you order as they have done this to me on hot dog and hamburger. The burger at least had cheese the hot dog only meat and bread.

DIRTY! Food was OK but had to wash our own table. We sat there for 45 minutes and never saw a table cleaned even when it slowed down. And let's not forget the 1000 flies.

UPDATE: I have since learned that there was a major water main break in the truckers parking lot that did some major water damage. It probably would have been beneficial to post a notice since their restaurant is off I-40. They turned away a lot of customers.I stopped at the Sonic at exit 101 in Oklahoma. The drive thru was closed so I parked to go inside. I tried a back door off the parking lot and it was locked. I tried another door and it too was locked so I left. I tried to call but there was no answer. No Sonic for you. You lost a customer.

Ordering was quick. It was busy but the cashier , Kayla I believe her name was , was quick getting orders taken. I've been here a few times travelling and she's always working, and is such a pleasant person. It is always clean inside Sonic. Will always stop here at the Travel Store just for Sonic .. it's great.

Use to love sonic bit this sonic here has given me nasty tasting food the last couple of times . Sonic use to be good but it seems like there quality of food has fell off a cliff . They have went downhill pretty fast ..Guess they would rather lose customers by giving them old food instead of throwing it away & making fresh . I can understand why the reviews are so bad . If they keep goi n g this route they won't be in busimess because they won't have any customers & they can only blame the employees for the way the food is . Maybe it's time to fire or retrain ur employees.

I honestly can't believe how low this location is rated. For years I've stopped by here every time I drive by and they are open, and never once had an issue. The food is always good, and employees are actually friendly and seem like they care (enough so that I actually notice they are well above what you'd expect at a fast food restaurant). I see a lot of 1 star ratings bc of wrong orders, seriously??? I have an idea, how about a 3 star? "Food was good, but I had to go ask them to remake my burger", done. Instead we are putting finding onions on your burger the same as finding a cockroach in your fries, and pubes sprinkled on top of your Coney dog?

Best Sonic Strawberry Lime-aid I’ve had in years. Also the lady teaching the gentleman with the neck tat was extremely patient and attentive. She was able to juggle orders, guide her employee and maintain the lobby in an expert manor.

Ordered 45 dollars worth of food and the chicken was nothing but fried hard batter..the manager brought out our drinks and I spoke to him. He said nothing to me and turned around and walked off. I used to work for sonic...you don't treat your customers like that and ignore them .. get more bees with honey...

Having breakfast in the lobby this morning 6/8/22. Tremendous thunderstorm outside. Pouring rain. The power ends up going out. The Love's truck stop that the Sonic is attached to locked their doors because of merchandise. The Sonic people told us we could stay and have our breakfast. About 30 minutes later the Sonic GM shows up and decides we have to leave. My bus was parked in the truck lot clear at the back. The elderly ladies having breakfast , their car was out in front of the store about 75 feet away. The GM did not have the courage to tell us to leave, instead he or she, made a young employee do it. None of the people in the lobby had umbrellas or rain coats as the rain blew up quite suddenly. So we all got soaked getting to our vehicles. Horrible decision by this GM. I will never patronize this store again and probably not stop at a Sonic again.
