I really want to thank the ladies of pet angels rescue. I adopted stuart who is now Atticus. They were so wonderful in helping me through this journey. He has been such a good boy. And I can't wait to see him to truly settle in and let that goofy side that I sometimes see shine bright! My heart is so full now. Thank you so much for everything you do! Without you none of this would be possible!

We adopted Rocket, a little Italian Greyhound, on Valentine's Day. The staff were very helpful and professional and have done follow up calls to check on us. I would recommend Pet Angels Rescue if you are wanting to add to your fur family.

My family and I adopted a new family member today from Pet Angel's. The staff was wonderful, helpful and compassionate. They were very through in checking us and ensuring the animals are safe. They even did a cat check with our new dog to help ensure no issues when we brought him home. We have been waiting for nearly a year after our two other rescue animals have passed away from old age to adopt again. They were great there and helped us find Odin! Thank you so much for all your help and dedication of time to work in rescuing animals. I highly recommend them.

We adopted what we think is the best dog from pet Angels two weeks ago. The process and the people where great, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. We where contacted very quickly after we submitted our application. We already had plans to go out of town and the staff worked with us by going above and beyond and allowing us to meet Vader after hours to fit our schedule. The facilities where great and you can really tell they care for all the animals I highly recommend them!

I have wonderful experiences with Pet Angels Rescue. I attended one of their open house events, all of the volunteers were extremely helpful in answering all questions I had about the dogs and explaining their adoption process. It was very clear how much they care for all of the pets. Weeks later, I found a dog I was interested in on their website. The adoption application was extensive, which shows me they truly want to ensure the pets go to good homes. I was contacted in a timely manner & made an appointment to meet the dog. Pet Angels volunteers were amazing in answering my questions about him and making sure this dog was a good fit for my home. One volunteer even bathed the dog & showed me how to do it before I took him home. Thank you Pet Angels for your amazing organization and caring so deeply for your pets!!

Pet Angels Rescue was amazing through the entire process. Their application process shows they care about finding the right fit for both the pet and the owner. We live 2 hours away and they worked with us on finding a time to visit their facility. They allowed us to meet some wonderful dogs and stayed late to allow us to make the best decision. I am very grateful for the wonderful staff for everything they did to allow us to come home with a wonderful new addition to our family.

This place is top notch from the thorough application process, to the outstanding facilities and friendly volunteers. I was impressed every step on the way. The several dogs I inquired about weren't good fits but the help of two amazing volunteers landed our family the most perfect dog we could have ever asked for, Pearl. If you're looking to adopt, this is the place for you. Highly recommend and am even considering volunteering there myself.

The first dog we looked at didn’t get along with our female dog so they helped us find the perfect addition for our family. We have adopted 3 pets from Pet Angels Rescue. Our first baby at 12 weeks old in 2014. That was the beginning of my journey to become a Pet Angels volunteer. Going on 5 years and I love it as much as day one. You will not find a more caring or dedicated group of people. I knew from the start that Pet Angels was a great rescue. They truly care about the pets, their adopters, and the staff and volunteers. The facility is welcoming, bright, cheerful and very clean. If you are considering adoption I highly recommend Pet Angels.05/20/20 Due to the very unprofessional, underhanded, public way that Dana Huckaby was removed by the Board of Directors of Pet Angels I cannot if good faith recommend adopting from this organization. They took the time to help us find a dog that was a good fit with our older dog. Yule (now going by Zeus) is the sweetest puppy who is fitting into our family perfectly. The animals there are well cared for and clearly loved. We had a great experience.

This rating isn't because it's not a good place. They seem to care about the animals, and we're timely with their replies. This is for the personal service we received from Nancy. The emails received from her came off very passive aggressive and judgmental, and extremely rude.My husband, our beautiful Carolina dog/Shepard mix, and myself just all moved into this beautiful home in the okc area. As a very special surprise for me, my husband told me that we could get a new dog since now we had a big back yard with tall fences and plenty of room to play! So we were looking and I've always had a soft spot for huskys since I was a small girl and our current dog has gotten a long great with them in the past. So we filled out our application, and the first thing we were hit with was we don't allow dogs to be surprises or birthday presents and what to follow that made us feel like she was telling us we were dumb. He had put in the application in the why do you want this dog section that it was an amazing surprise for me and told her everything about why he surprised me with it. Her making us feel stupid continued when she asked us how we don't have a current vet (which we selected on the app that we didn't have one but we would like to get recommendations on ones in the area, which we thought was reasonable since we have just moved and haven't had time to figure out the best vet option). She seemed baffled by how we didn't have one but we had a dog that we said was up to date on his shots. Our dog is up to date, and we have all his shot records, we got him from a pound in Texas around Easter and they made sure he had everything he needed and a chip. She made us feel stupid and made it feel like she thought we were lying to her. Then the house part came up, were leasing but for some reason the own box got checked, which was purely accidental. And she proceeded to make us feel like we were lying about that too. So we explained ourselves in an email everything I just wrote above and told her how her email made us feel, and that we don't think we'll be using their services anymore. Her reply didn't include an apology just that she likes to make everyone know their policy's for adoption before they can adopt.In my personal opinion there were much nicer ways to go about everything she had brought up in the email. And I know for a fact that Pearl would have had a wonderful home with our growing family.

This place is wonderful and I'm glad my friend brought me here for the 4th of july to help calm down the animals. The staff is friendly and incredibly helpful with adoption info, kennels are spotless, food in water in all the bowls - there were even soft beds left in the kennels! Everyone working made sure to keep the environment as calm and happy as possible for every pet and person. I will definitely come back to volunteer and to possibly adopt. I love this place!

I went ahead and rated them at 3 stars. It has nothing to do with the care of their animals. I find this organization very good. My only issue is the adoption process. I was told that the dog I wanted wasn't adopted yet and to please submit my application. I did this within seconds. I received a call saying they are overwhelmed and that they would be contacting me shortly. I waited patiently and finally got an email at almost midnight last night to say someone else submitted their application before me and were being processed. It's totally understandable but my heart fell into my stomach as I had waited 3 days in hopes that this baby would be mine. I should have asked what my chances of adoption were. My advice.... Don't get excited too soon. They told me I am welcome to choose another dog but now I'm scared to even try. I think Pet Angels would benefit more by assigning one person soley to speeding up the adoption process. I am famous for saving lives and providing exceptional care for my animals. I've always adopted from Free To Live in Guthrie. I can choose my animal and take them home the same day as they process my application and do background checks immediately. This is not a negative post about Pet Angels! This is simply a rating of 3 out of 5 for the adoption process.

We just adopted a beautiful sweet puppy from here and are totally in love! This rescue is clean and well staffed with a welcoming friendly atmosphere. I dealt mostly with Nancy through texting before we went there and found her to be extremely helpful with information galore! This staff cares about their rescues which really touched my heart. They asked that I send pictures and updates and that moved me even more. AWSOME rescue...AWSOME facility.... AWSOME staff! I highly recommend looking there to adopt your next furbaby family member. Rude, unprofessional, both the employee, Josh, and the director, didn’t catch her name. Arrived for a 1:30 PM appointment and it seems as if we were a bother and made Josh go out of his way to simply open a door and tell us the dogs we were there to see weren’t there yet. When they were according to his co-worker. He was rude to her as well. Said we would come back. When we did, both he and now the director, was rude. Said they were closed, would be nice if kept their website or Facebook updated with such information. Wouldn’t let us get out of the car or even see the dogs we were there to adopt which they now said they wanted to keep together when on the website it makes no such mention of that. Had so much potential from looking at other reviews and their Facebook. Would definitely not adopt from here or recommend when you’re made to feel like you’re inconveniencing them.

I am very disappointed with this place and will never consider adopting from them again. I attempted to adopt a puppy from a litter that was abandoned that my current Vet rescued. The puppies resembled a dog I had as a child and I was heart broken about them being left out to die of Parvovirus. I filled out an application right away and reached out to the facility. I was promised I would be contacted about availability after I was reaching out too often. I told my sister about these dogs and she wanted one. They never reached out to me and they discarded my application. They adopted the puppies out before I had a chance. I will not ever adopt from this place nor will I recommend them nor will I donate supplies to them. It felt like fate that I had been looking for a puppy for weeks but couldn’t find one and then learned about these poor souls on a random day I had taken my current pup in for nail clipping. Horribly heartbroken.

Very amazing people so very nice!! We recently adopted our lovely kiko kids renamed him to mishka it's cute. We chose very well he is a very very nice sweet good dog. I can write a long paragraph on our new baby but I wont. I want to keep this short. The people are nice and work quick to help you out. It's very very busy in there loads of people coming in to adopt from this place and I can see why:)! Nice people nice dogs brings in more welcoming people to adopt:)!. We may come again and adopt a friend for mishka in a few months or a year:)! Not sure yet. We want to first get to know mishka more before adding in another member:)! Please do come adopt from here:)!

I thought adopting from out of state would have been difficult but Pet Angels made everything easy and pretty quick! I put in an application for Bolly the Boston Terrier on May 27th and brought my little man home to Colorado yesterday June 6th. They gave me as much information as possible and even sent me a video before I went to meet him. Everyone at the reacue was so nice and really seemed to love every single animal there. I would absolutely recommend anybody to adopt from them. Thank you so much for my little man!

I adopted Kyra, (Diamond) in 2014 from Pet Angels. On several occasions since then Kyra has escaped and gone on wild adventures. Every time Dana Huckaby and Pet Angels helped get Kyra back home. Dana has sent gifts to my three dogs, dropped of bags of feed when we were in bad straights and even cared for my three dogs when I was unable to do it.Now I hear that members of Pet Angels board have kicked her out of the organization she founded some 20 years ago. I must sadly remove any positive reccomendation for Pet Angels should this hostile takeover succeed. Dana Huckaby is Pet Angels.

Adopted our sweet boy Dash from these wonderful people. After only a day or 2 he's settled in quite nicely and even picked out his favorite napping spots and let us know quickly what his favorite treats were. His profile was right on target and he'll live a long and happy life now.

Unwilling to work with out-of-towners for a meet up time. Friendly, professional, fairly quick to respond - but, not a lot of leeway on scheduling times to adopt. My daughter will be heartbroken that we didn't get to adopt the cat she picked out.
