Never been in a shelter so clean!! I am in different rescues all the time but in this one they truly work their butt's off!! I do lots of transports & help them anytime they ask even though they are quite a ways from me.(over 50 miles) They truly care.

I made an appointment for my son's cat to get fixed and vaccinated, I also had my little Chihuahua and he was only going to get vaccinated I didn't want him fixed. The young girl that made my appointment said they would have to stay over night which I understand, but right off I asked even if they just get vaccinated and she said yes. I wasn't even mad I was upset yes but not mad. When I called and let them know today what had happened she just said u signed the consent form didn't u I said yes to my knowledge that he was just getting vaccinated not fixed she got very rude I got rude back and she said have a day and hung up on me. Thought it was odd for him having to stay but I assumed that it was just their rules.

They were closed and in the middle of a fundraiser but they still helped me anyway to schedule a TNR for a feral cat. Super nice folks.

Visited to see the difference since new Management. It was very clean. All pens were clean. The dogs have play time outside. The animal's medications are given as directed. There is an all around difference!!

The humane society of Grove Oklahoma is amazing! We were left with a total of 10 cats when our neighbor passed away and couldn't afford to feed all of the cats that were left. The humane society has donated food to us almost every month to help us get to keep the cats. If it weren't for them, I don't know what would've happened to these kitties. Thank you Grove humane society!

I have been looking for a new puppy/adult dog for months now with my fiancee to add to our new family with our two senior dogs that i have gotten from this shelter before i do not understand why it is so hard to get a response out of these people here they arent the nicest either. We have gone in looking for dogs and been shooed away to come back another day and now cant even get a reponse via email/phone call. when we go in the service is horrible like they are "better then us" i see them posting on social media all the time and there is a lady always sitting at their computer in their, But cant pick up a phone or respond to a email. cant go in without being sent away

We had the most wonderful adoption experience there and to deal with Joey! It was right during the start of Covid and we made an appointment to meet our puppy after seeing her online. Communication was fast and informative and kind! We ended up being able to see most of the shelter as the puppies were in a farther back area of the buildings. Lots of barking (like any shelter), but incredibly clean and staffed by so many lovely people! We met her one week and then after her getting spayed the following week, we could get her after the vet said she was ok to release. Very nice experience, as I’d never adopted from a shelter before but had raised and/or taken in four dogs throughout my history. Highly recommend this amazing place! We are crazy about our puppy and very grateful to Second Chance!

The best place to give a dog or cat there forever home. They take great care over the animals that are there. I found my baby girl Twyla there and she is doing great and is very happy. Thank you for loving and taking care of all them dogs and cats......please everyone think about giving those animals a forever home. It will change your life and there life for the better in many ways.

They really need to clean the place ,it smelled horrible that I had to cover my nose and no it's not because of the dogs it's because there to lazy to mop the office and the back plus they only give you food if they want to ,I bet there pets are fed well ,mop it

Disappointed on the way it's set up. Not very easy to see and experience an sdoption. Intimidated me a little to walk through all the barking dogs. I think they'd have a better chance of being adopted if some changes were made. Staff was amazing and I'm sure donations and volunteers would be welcomed.

Went to search for a dog for our family. Place was clean but Unfortunately they were not much help at all. Website Is not kept up to date. We asked to see small dogs due to the fact that we have a doggie door fit for a small dog. Asked to see the puppies listed on their website first they told us they didn't have them. Then they said they had them but they would be too large for what we were looking for... Even though they were jack Russell puppies. (Didn't let us see them at all. They just seemed interested in adopting out who they wanted out of the shelter) We were shown mostly larger dogs. Around 50-70 pound dogs. Including German Shepard mixes. We asked to look at dogs 20 pounds and under. We had our toddler with us. We liked the first dog we were shown but we were told no because he was shy of our son. Mind you we were only allowed about five mins with each dog during their potty break only allowed to see them during the potty break. . Anyone who knows dogs knows it going to take some time to warm up to anyone! Next we were shown another large dog! And another. Again 5 mins each dog Then finally one smaller dog. We liked her and even told them at one point we wanted to adopt but they did not seem to care. Wouldn't really let us pet the dogs or anything. They seemed to only be showing us the dogs they were hoping to adopt out instead of what we were asking to see. Dogs didn't seem to be socialized at all! And had people helping us switch mid looking. Terrible experience. Staff was cold and kind of rude. Seemed very rushed and not very interested in the needs of the animals or wants/needs or customers. We left empty handed and will not be returning there. Continuing our search at a better shelter!

Husband and I went to this shelter on March 27th of 2019. We were looking for a furbaby to add to our family.Sadly, the manager was not there, but a lady named Kim let us in and allowed us to see the dogs and interact with them.After a couple failed attempts with dogs, my husband notified Kim of seeing an English Shepherd named Sasha.Kim was lovely, brought the little miss out to us right away and allowed us to not only pet her but spend a few minutes with her.We were definitely sold and immediately filled out the paperwork.We couldn't pick her up right away, since she had to be spayed.The vet did a wonderful job and Sasha didn't have any problems at all afterwards.She has been with us a bit over a year and I can say I'm glad we went there when we did.
