Super convenient location and friendly staff. We rented a cabin and it was so clean, felt nice after getting stuck in a rainstorm driving home on a roadtrip. It was a welcome warm, dry place to sleep and enjoy the vibes of historical Route 66. We went to the bar cafe and had a surprisingly delicious pizza they customized for us. Drinking Corona's with lime had a nostalgic feeling, then we played a few rounds of Pool. Overall great spot to stay and very nice for the price.

I gave this campground a 4 only because it is a KOA and you kind of know what you are getting. The hosts are very nice. The park grass is cut and it is clean. It is just a very old tired park. The big plus is all sites are level and all hookups are old but are in good working order. Some fresh gravel would go a long way. Being an old KOA the pool is quite large as they used to be. This location has a full scale bar to the side of the office area. Nice for any campers looking for an on site bar. Yes we will stay here again when passing through.

Stayed 2 nights in our 30' Motorhome and didn't have any issues. Big pull through level sites. We were in Site 53 with big shaded trees. There is a back side to the park with no shade. 7 cabins on site to rent, big playground, big dog park area, close to Lake Clinton where you can off leash run in the field as nobody is at the park area. Will definitely stay again!

This is a great location! Super friendly staff. My first time at a KOA and i did the glamping "kabin" thing with them. Site's bathrooms were spacious and super clean tho had my own little bathroom/shower in cabin. Restaurant with good food and again, staff were amazing. Shout out to Sala and Dede who are great people and def an asset to this location.

Nice campground. Would stay again. Would have given it 5 stars except the internet was dismal! The Ookla speed test site showed 5 megabits/sec and the connection frequently was disrupted. To the owners-you need to better in this day and age-high speed connectivity is a must for the traveling public.

Front desk lady was less than helpful, asked to move closer to the dog park (there were only 4 other people in the park total) and said there was someone booked for that spot, didn't try to move us closer we were actually furthest from the k9 park. Just not as accommodating as most of the KOAs we stay in esp when there's no one else there. Highway noise was moderate but typical

I’ve stayed at KOA cabins since I was a child and I am now 45. In all those hundreds of visits all across the country over a 40 year span this was honestly the one and only KOA cabin that did not meet KOA’s usual standards of excellence. I’ve always known KOA cabins to be spotlessly clean and tidy (which is why I love them) but this cabin at this particular location was not clean. It smelled very strongly of urine and the mattress on the bed was so dingy dirty that we felt the need to check it thoroughly for bedbugs (fortunately we didn’t find any but the fact that we had to check it tells you something about how dirty the cabin felt). If we had not been so exhausted from our trip, we would have left and found other lodging but it was late so we felt forced to stick it out. This is the one and only KOA I am unable to recommend. We still love KOA campgrounds but not this one.

We spent two nights in a cozy little cabin at this KOA. The staff was super friendly and all the amenities were clean and well maintained. The bed in the cabin was really comfortable. We really enjoyed the porch swing. :-)The only down side was the little AC in the cabin couldn’t compete with a 100 degree Oklahoma day. It was nice and cool to sleep at night though. We tried to swim in the heat of the day but the pool was full of local folks which deterred us. It’s nice for the locals to have access to the pool from 11am to 4pm but it kept us out of it when we needed to cool off.Overall we had a lovely time. The Oklahoma heat brought it’s own challenges.

This was a nice overnight stop. Highway noise is moderate. Hot water wasn't working in the bathrooms while we were visiting. Sites were nice, well maintained, and well arranged. Staff were helpful and pleasant. It was a little hard to see at night on the roads leading from I-40 to the campground, but arriving before dark would solve that.

Convenient location. The nicest and friendliest staff you’d ever want to meet. Chatted with them all during dinner in the restaurant getting some local insight into the area. The one big pitfall here was the horrible washer and dryers in the laundry. Had to run a load several times to actually get the clothes to wash and spin. The staff apologized and gave us some $ to cover the added cost of multiple runs. You’d think for as nice as this park is that the owners would spend a little money and get some working washers and dryers.

The Elk City KOA has plenty of trees for shade, they have a nearby pond, the swimming pool is very well kept and the store has most of the things that you might need to engage your camping or RV stay. There is a bar and a small menu of food items available during business hours. The service was very friendly and helpful. The campgrounds are well maintained and clean, the showers and restrooms are nice. I visited in the summer, so it was very humid. There were crickets all over the place and the trees seemed to house secedas , which buzzed frequently at night. But I can't hold nature against this location. Overall, it was beautiful and the people working there were very friendly and helpful.Nearby activities: There is a nearby pond for fishing and the pool was very nice when it was open.Walkability: There is plenty of nearby area to walk in. There is a playground area for kids as well.

We stayed here one night while traveling between Kansas and Texas. Coming from the east, our GPS wanted us to get off of I-40 at exit 53, which would have had us traveling down a narrow stretch of old Route 66 for 3 miles to reach the campground. We opted to take exit 50 instead as instructed in our reservation email, which allowed us to pull into the check-in lanes in front of the office while pointed towards the campground entrance. The campground has a mix of pull-through and back-in sites. All of the sites in the front half of the campground has asphalt pads, grass lawns, and picnic tables. The short back-in sites on the east side, just beyond the campground entrance, have one or two shade trees, while the pull-through row in the middle of the campground has plenty of them. Our site (site 56) had tall trees on all four corners of the site, and all of them were trimmed high enough that we had no problem getting in and out of the site, and it was level side-to-side. The hookups were reasonably placed, but the sewer opening was not threaded. The office doesn't have much of a store when compared to other KOAs, but it is attached to an on-site restaurant that serves a variety of simple dishes (such as pizza, burgers, pulled pork sandwiches, and wings). They have 20lbs propane tanks for exchange as well as a propane refill station. There are tables and chairs on the elevated back porch for enjoying your food when the weather is nice that also overlooks the swimming pool area. There is a small simple, playground area on the west end of the campground with a swing set, a merry-go-round, a basketball hood, and a horseshoe pit. There are bathrooms attached to the office building that are secured by an 8-digit code (the longest bathroom code I've ever seen) and there is a separate building in the middle of the campground with a small laundry room. There are two dog parks. There's a small run next to the playground, and a much larger park on the north end of the campground at the end of a large grassy area. The larger park has some solar-powered lights attached to the fence: they were barely lit during our stay, possibly because it had rained all day.The Verizon signal pulled in by my Jetpack hotspot with MIMO antenna showed 4 bars, but the download bandwidth was terrible during the day and throughout the early evening, likely because local smartphone traffic was prioritized over mine. Before 7am on the day we left, when I guess no one else was using the network, I got 18 Mbps down and 25 up. In contrast, the speed test I ran on my 5G AT&T smartphone showed 84 Mbps down and 8 up and was consistent throughout our stay. I tried the campground WiFi and got 3 Mbps down and 1 up.We would stay here again if we were passing through.

I stayed here for roughly shy of 4 months, had an amazing time here. They offer food, beer and have a store located in the office. Also they have a pool table! I’ll definitely stop by again, on my way back through. We had a lovely stay, thank you for the people that helped us make our stay wonderful! I want to give a shout to Stacy, thank you for everything, really appreciate it. We felt like we were home when we were staying here❤️

We stayed here 1 night on our way to ABQ, then 3 nights on our way back home. This is an excellent location with beautifully maintained grounds, nice laundry, game area and a wonderful pool! The campsites are very nice with a table. There are very nice swings located throughout the park. The office staff were FANTASTIC! They make a delicious pizza and burgers. The restrooms are very clean and well kept. There is a small issue with water pressure and sometimes there is very little hot water. The only problem we had was one night there was a power outage that shut off all the water too. We tried contacting them through the emergency number, but there was no answer. The power and water did come back on after a while. The next morning, one of the maintenance team came by and checked on us to make sure everything was working well, and the manager apologized for us not being able to reach her through the emergency #. We enjoyed our time here! Take time to go into Elk City to the Rte. 66 museum! A great treat!

Perfect halfway point for our trip out west. Wifi was great. Bathrooms were clean and NICE! Campgrounds were quiet and peaceful. We had a good night's rest and my daughter was even able to fit a run in on part of the old Route 66 (she's a college XC runner). It would have been nice to have had a picnic table at our site, but other than that this was a fantastic place to stop.

We stayed here while moving cross country, it was so nice to find somewhere we felt our belongings would be safe in the moving truck. We arrived very late and found our cabin waiting with the porch light left on for us and the heater keeping it warm. Our cabin was sparkling clean. So grateful for this KOA and how accommodating they were with our needs for extra parking! It made a stressful move so much easier!

Nice shaded sites. Level and big enough. We didn’t use the facilities. Super nice staff. We filled our propane tanks and it was an easy process. They had a nice little tavern where we got a great pizza. T-Mobile, ATT & Verizon all worked great.Safety: Felt very safeFood & drinks: Nice tavern

Called reservations in night before had to call again in morning because they were experiencing bad weather called next morning explained size of camper and have 2 large dogs. they put us on a site that wouldn't hold camper much less with the truck, and someone else was parked on our site also, plus people obviously have yapping dogs. Called the office went back in they gave us a spot that is flooded on the side we use, no picnic table, and so much water we can't even use our table. I'm just praying nothing gets vandalized

This place was comfortable and accommodating. The cabin was kind of dusty. Make sure you take exit 50 if you’re following directions on your maps app on iPhone, because it’s way off. Google maps directions are accurate. The bathroom was clean. The chicken nuggets are pretty good.

09-05-20221. Good first impression!2. The things we look for are lacking: clean bathrooms & showers; clean laundry room, where not to be had. Dilapidated & bug ridden.3. The whole infrastructure is in much need of maintenance.4. And the pool will close tomorrow (we got here today). The pool water looks well kept & very inviting.5. We enjoyed fresh baked pizza at the "pub".6. Our site was clean, level & green.

Recently stayed here and had a good time. Staff was friendly, park was clean. Not alot to do here and pool is still closed. Wind was pretty bad while we were here, and one of the long term campers had a dog that barked all night long.. It is right off ol route 66 pretty cool. It says "lake is within walking distance but I would disagree.

We pulled in after a long day on the road. The husband/wife managers were GREAT!!!....Campground was clean and very well maintained. The food was great and the beer in the bar was very cold. Will definitely make this our stop to and from Colorado each year

The staff was very friendly. The facilities were great. The kids loved the pool and giant checkers. The food at the restaurant was terrific. We had nachos and burgers. Best burger I've had in a while. The bathroom and showers were clean and well kept. The shower pressure and hot water were great. The only suggestion is to add hand-held shower heads as the shower heads were not very adjustable.
