I am starting my own herd of highland cattle, I’ve got my first bull calf and my first heifer calf, I chose Durant animal hospital out of word of mouth, after meeting Lyndsie the practice mgr and Tara the vet tech who took my case I was very pleased with their extreme professionalism and knowledge of highland cows & their specific recommendation for Dr. Joy to be my vet, was absolutely on par. Dr. Joy was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything that was needed to get them up to date in shots and set up a breeding system for me. I noticed the tech, Tara taking very specific notes and they seemed very detailed, after talking with Dr. Joy I did have a couple of follow up questions and Tara was very much willing to answer them with extreme professionalism and confidence. Lyndsie was very helpful as well with setting up my account for future visits and also giving advice and pointers for treating their horns for flys. In my opinion with Lyndsie, Tara, & Dr. Joy, at this clinic I will be there as a life long customer, never in my time of taking any pet let alone cattle to a vet did I have a chance tomeet, let alone talk to the practice mgr, who was again extremely helpful and professional, to a tech like Tara who’s knowledge and expertise on cattle just rocked my world. I now feel like I have a place I can take all of my animals to for life and know they will be in absolute excellent care with those ladies around, and if Dr. Joy is not available then I will have no issue following their advice for a secondary doc.

I’ve been using Durant Animal Hospital for about 20 years now and I recommend them to everyone I meet! The staff is amazing and always attentive and helpful! I will NEVER use another animal clinic! This place is always clean and they are constantly sanitizing everything. Honestly I can’t write enough good things about this clinic! For anyone reading this… start using this clinic IMMEDIATELY! You won’t regret it and your fur babies will love you for it and they will always receive top notch care and so will u!! I rate Durant Animal Hospital 20 ⭐️’s

Dr. Boyd Mills and Dr. Joy are very caring and helpful 🧑‍⚕️ Veterinarians. They are very knowledgeable and the medicine they prescribed always works! They have helped stitch up my 🐕 dogs and 🐈 cats for the past 7 years. I love that they have an online pharmacy now that you can order your meds to receive monthly in the mail. ♥️

We brought in a cat with a luxating patella, she was 8 and had lived with us virtually all her life. Dr Mills was so very kind to our furry family member. The surgery went great and Weezer has fully recovered. We consider her to be family, we are very grateful for the Durant Animal Hospital.

Drove up here without an appointment solely based off advice of a friend - my frenchie female had been in labor for hours and her contractions were not producing. Dr. mills called me on his way in- got us in and out in 30 minutes. Had a healthy litter and mommmas doing well. Very appreciative of his friendly and prompt staffing stepping in to action. We will definitely be returning customers and I highly recommend Durant Animal Hospital.

Granted, the wait time can be a while, but the entire team there is very efficient and thorough. Even though they stay very busy, they don't rush you in and out. I felt very confident that my baby was getting the best treatment. My son takes his 3 babies there as well. I highly recommend them.

We had an emergency a couple of weeks ago, and Dr. Kemp and staff were wonderful. Our 4 month old pup was stung by a wasp, bee, or something, and they took great care of her. We wish they could take appointments because we would sure like to have them as her full-time vet. Thanks so much, Dr. Kemp and staff.

At Durant Animal Hospital they listened and addressed my concerns. They were exceptionally understanding. My thoughts are “compassionate animal lovers”, “probably kind also with humans”, “dedicated workaholics”, “friendly and trustworthy”. The facility was hygienic and very clean. I would most definitely recommend taking your pet to them!!

We have been using Durant Animal Hospital for many years for our fur babies. It’s really awesome to have people who love your animals and take the best care of them. We have had many different situations throughout the years with many different dogs and cats that we have brought there and each time they have been taken very good care of and came back to us doing well. This last visit this week was to get 2 new kittens who adopted us to get fixed, as of this writing it is the day after and you would never know they had anything done and the incisions look wonderful! Thank you for all the care and attention you give to our fur babies.

It was a good experience over all. The receptionist was really good and didn't mind the fact that I have a Bully. I've had negative comments in the past. She met her and loved on her. It was great. The veteranarian, he seemed like he just wanted to push Belle through, really didn't take any kind of real time and talked at me and not to me.

Treated my dog with urgency, very knowledgeable and worth the drive from Texas. Saved my dog from having to be euthanized. Cost of the surgery was 1/10th of the price in my area! I wish I could give 10 stars. I can't say enough good about the vet care for my dog.

Great listening Vet treated my dog 2day. He's had a recurring problem with a shoulder, he tests positive for tick fever and shortly after 30 days of meds, it begins again over & over 😢 Fortunately today a new diagnosis of arthritis and different meds prescribed 🙂 Hoping this heals my fur baby 🙏

Drove up from Texas and had an emergency with my pregnant husky(Stella). I was anxious and nervous for Stella. I spoke to the practice manager Lyndsie and she was extremely helpful. She patiently explained every question I had. She expressed genuine concern and care for my Stella and what she was going through. I felt that Stella was in great hands and was able to relax a little. I would thoroughly recommend this animal hospital to anyone who needs excellent care for their pets and wants to go to a hospital that has a caring, helpful, supportive practice manager like Lyndsie.

Has been since October of 2023 forgot to give a review. We went there for a c- section after our girl pushed out 3 puppies on her own. But the others got delivered and they have grown now and have now homes. I am glad I found this animal hospital. Will go back when I need a vet wish it was close to me in Texas.

We were made to sit out in the car. Folks went in before us was seen before us. I called in an ask and was told that there was one more ahead of us 1.5 hrs later was seen. Dr. Mills is an awesome vet. Sure miss the care you received before he sold.

We had to euthanize our beloved Boston Terrier Beaux yesterday. The staff and vet were amazing. Very nice and thoughtful. The vet was so caring. They gave us a burial box, the vet tech took him and wrapped him up and placed him in it. She wrote his name across the top real pretty and put heart. They made a lousy day as good as possible. He is now chasing 🦋 in heaven.

The Doc.still works there but it sold to some vet conglomerate.1 flea pill, 2 differing 7 day prescriptions, 1tube of .30mL cream, 1 shot & exam charge.$323.50 NO signs saying different owner. NO signs to announce higher, MUCH higher prices. This was for a 13lb. dog with skin allergies. I was in shock! They could have given some sort of notice that the prices had changed dramatically. More than 3 times higher. Name the same, office look the same, lady at the desk the same, seen the Doc.zip in & out to the front the same. Seems rather deceitful. Yeah we won't be back. April 2024.
