When my son said he was going to OK, I said, "Would you take me to the Cherokee Trading Place and Restaurant?" He said ok. I was so grateful, I love their food, it reminds me of home cooked food. When we got home, we got a bill for tolls, so we probably never make it down there again, and it's a shame. There were no signs saying tolls ahead, so I have no idea where we ended up getting them from. We even had NO tolls checked on Google maps, Google must be working with OK and KS to get people on those toll roads. The restaurant was clean and they had a T-shirt available for purchase. I asked if they had a size 3x, but they said the manager wasn't there, so I couldn't get one. Disappointed.Parking: There are plenty of parking spaces.

The steak was cooked perfectly. The waitress did an amazing job. The salad bar was in need of restocking and wasn't a lot to choose from on it but it was good. Everything was hot and fresh. My only complaint was the steak lacked flavor. It was seasoned lightly with salt and pepper. If it had been marinated, this would be a top 5 steakhouse.

I was very disappointed in this place, it was around 3 when we stepped in to grab a bite. The place was empty. you would think they knew how to make fry bread, but it was very thick and dry and looked more like baked bread. The bison burger was ok. I mean, how can you mess up a burger? The bathroom was clean, only two seater. There is plenty of parking. They sell a few goodies like honey,salsa, and fired pies, also smell good wax.

Waitress never checked with us, other than filling one drink. We had to get our own silverware. The glasses were dirty and the salad bar had multiple items empty. What we did eat from the salad bar tasted off. Don't bother stopping. There are no options for people with dietary restrictions. Definitely don't stop if you can't have meat.Vegetarian options: No options other than mostly empty salad bar

We stopped in to order take out on our way to OKC. The staff was so friendly and the food was hot and delicious. We had the bison burger and the Cherokee burger. Both were perfectly cooked. The price of the meals included the burger, one side and a drink. Great deal! We also ordered a slice of coconut pie which was outstanding. We picked up some tasty jarred treats to take home too.Cherokee Trading Post is in the same parking lot. Be sure to check it out. It’s the neatest store with lots of unique and fun items. :-)

For the amount of time waited,the food wasn’t worth it. It also wasn’t worth $85 for two people. I did get the 16oz ribeye($35) which was most of it. My wife got the chicken which was dry and shriveled up looking. Staff seemed lazy and not in a hurry to remove the plates from our table. This place has potential but better customer service would have made it easier to look past the lack luster food and mediocre salad bar and out of the can vegetables you get as sides here. Besides that the interior looked okay and went with the “Native” asthetic.

This restaurant is perfect he may not be a high-end restaurant but the bison burger was really good.Service was great Miss Sierra was very kind and she told me about the barbecue sauce that the restaurant is known for. The barbecue sauce is not to sweet but it's also not very sour it's just right! They're also known to make their pies and house I had the peanut butter pie I didn't like the cream on top which I took off, but the pie itself was excellent!Everything was secure and appetizing for someone that's been driving for hours!

Good food, great staff and decent prices. Good pies, too. Staying at the KOA down the hill, we got a 10% discount, which was nice. We may be back in the morning for breakfast. Great decor inside, too. Love the whole area here.

Pretty good place. Probably would have been better if we didn't come right before close.The staff was kind enough but you could tell they were ready to go home. Most of the food was good. Worth a try if you are in the area, just don't go in on their last hour open. I will give them another try and see if its better.

We waited 45+ mins for food to come out, once it did each meal was cold! Told our waitress when then sent the manager over. She was short and snappy and offered to box up my meal or microwave it. She microwaved ONE meal, and it was now luke warm at best. She or the waitress never checked to see if it was any better and never even came back to the table to refill drinks. The restaurant was quiet so no excuse. The food was a let down but the managers attitude towards the situation was worse. A new local and won’t be back. Was never offered a discount or any redemption, paid full price for 3 inedible meals. No apology and avoided us while we walked to the register to pay and sent another waitress to check us out. Customer service training wouldn’t go a miss here!

I know people is still playing Cov..d. that's why the prices went so up! But, they also reduce the quality of the Buffalo burgers and they are expensive for the size and quality and even taste. Sorry... but I had to say itThe fries were not good, they were not crispy, and the onion rings were over cooked. You can see the size of the Buffalo Burger, the onion rings bigger than the burger😅I like to take pictures to proof that I am not wrongI'm not lying.But!.. the red salsa it's so good! 🔥 try it

To start with, there wasn't any lettuce in the salad bar???? I tried the chicken fried steak and when they served it was sitting in a layer of oil on the plate and when I picked it up all of the breading fell off. The loaded baked potato was served at room temperature. Our waitress couldn't care less. We did grab another waitress who was very helpful and nice about the whole affair. The manager did comp my meal but I will never eat there again.

Are you kidding me? Have we really conformed so much that we won't even demand authenticity from a Cherokee restaurant? Not a single item on the menu is authentic! The Trading post is full of imports, and I didn't see a single native face. I want to support the natives who have had the land robbed from them...not the frigging robbers of the land

It was ok. A friend recommended the burgers as he use to drop by when driving a big rig yrs ago. He and I rode our bikes out for a taste and we were both kinda disappointed with the buffalo burger. Seems like every restaurants prize burger isn't any better then anyone else's anymore. Remember the old saying, "where's the meat?"

Very Good Food, Good People and Good Taste of Basin Meat,.. :) It's my First time to have it and oh so Good,... 😊😊😊Visited for another time and my Big Chief Breakfast was fantastic. Highly recommended, it is really fantastic. Can't say anymore than that. Excellent.❗👍👍👍

This used to be a great place. But like a lot of others the place changed. The people are nice. The salad bar leaves a lot to be desired. For example, no fresh onions, cucumbers, carrots, broccoli, or cauliflower to make a few are placed out. The tomatoes were smashed since the prep was done sloppy. The cook couldn’t prepare a steak to my request. The waitress did make it right so I applaud them for that. But it’s sad to see a place that was once so well run go to this level. Despite my critiques, it’s still better than garbage fast food.

My significant other and I came in today, we sat down and got our drinks. The lady who gave us our drinks told us someone was coming to help take our order, we waited 15-20 minutes just for someone to take our order. We ordered our food and it finally came out like 20-30 minutes later. I noticed we didn’t have any silverware so I asked politely for some and then our waitress left and brought us what we needed. We finished our food and not one time did that waitress come and check on us the whole time, she was checking and giving refills to everyone else but us. So I went up to the front and had to ask for to go containers and a refill. The food was decent but the service was horrible, not one time while we was there she came to come check on us to see if we needed anything. We won’t be coming back to this restaurant because this has happened to us serval times.
